Do People Need Ambition?
It is said that it is extremely important to be ambitious in the modern world. However, ambition can be regarded from two points of view. So, is this a good quality of a bad one?
On the one hand, an ambitious person always strives for the achievement of greater aims. Ambition is a need for success and attention. The person may have neither good human qualities, nor knowledge and get on. What is more, ambitious people often become leaders and if their objectives are benevolent, they can be of the benefit to society. In these cases ambition is a useful quality.
On the other hand, an ambitious person reckons that he deserves special respect from the people surrounding him. Ambitious people usually choose whom to pay attention to. Additionally, ambition is often combined with haughtiness and indifference. Moreover, ambitious people never have consideration for anyone. They are devoid of sympathy and rarely have friends.
All things considered, we can see that the question whether ambition is a necessary quality or not is too complicated to give a definite answer. Nevertheless, it is better to be fairly ambitious: be purposeful as well as responsive and caring.

My ambitions.
All of us aspire to something in our lives. We want to become Somebody, to have Something, to go Somewhere…
A goal in one’s life is a beacon which helps us not to lose the way in our life journey. To my mind, a life goal is that helps an individual to develop, to grow wiser and better.
A goal is a finished work and a result achieved. For example, we learn to gain knowledge, to get a profession, to practice our skills, to do good for our society and certain people.
This way starts within the walls of our native school. It’s a place where teachers share knowledge with us, where we obtain our life experience, make friends, feel triumph and bitterness of disappointment. And guys who don’t study hard can lose a lot!
I think that a way to our goal is as important as the goal itself. A number of people say that an ambition is very much different from a dream because it requires dynamic and immediate actions, but I think that ambitions come into the world from our dreamings. Only dreams help us to define what we are going to achieve and what we are going to be. Dreams define our actions.
Ambitions can be different: great and insignificant, noble and egoistic, but our way of living consists of them!
I also set my own goal! I want to graduate from a high school with excellent marks. I know that it won’t be easy. I will have to study hard and give up everything that prevents my studying. I’m ready for difficulties because my ambition is a basis of my future life!
And what is more, I dream about beautiful clothes as many other girls; I want to travel, to see the whole world! I think I’ll be able to do it at the proper time!
I believe that every person can achieve desired goals and live out dreams! Everything is possible if you really want it!

My ambitions
They say it is important to have ambitions. Ambitious people achieve higher levels of education, have more prestigious jobs and higher income. I believe an ambition is a person’s desire to achieve a goal through a process that demands hard work and determination.
I have a few ambitions in my life and I know what I should do to fulfil them. My first ambition is to become a computer programmer. I have always been good at maths and my favourite school subjects are Algebra and Computer Science. Besides, I attend our school computer club. I also know that I need to know English well, so I try to practise it every day. My second life ambition is to have a close-knit family. I love my parents and I want my own family to be like ours. The third ambition is to be happy and live my life to the fullest. I think if I do something I enjoy every day, if I do something good for someone else, I will feel happy.
I often think about these ambitions and it helps me to get my priorities right when I get lazy and don’t feel like working.
