My Favourite Season — Autumn
I like autumn very much. The autumn months are: September, October, November.
In September summer yields to autumn. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The sun rays are not so bright and warm. The fruit trees that not long ago bloomed with flowers are heavy with juicy apples and pears. Harvest time is a rush season for farmers. They gather sunflowers and maize, potatoes and cabbage, turnip and cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes. Early autumn is the period of flaming colours, when the landscape is gold and brown. In the daytime the silver gossamer is flying in the air. It’s a sign of the beautiful “Indian Summer”. But unfortunately this period of fine weather is very short and deep autumn follows it.
October is the best month for planting trees. People also prepare for winter. It is a season when the trees are fantastic — yellow, red, green and brown. The trees are loosing their leaves. Now the ground is like a carpet of many colours. It gets dark earlier and often heavy clouds cover the sky bringing rain. Birds don’t sing their songs. They begin to leave for warm countries.
November is the month of fog, rain and snow. Animals put on their winter coats. The landscape becomes rather dull.Nature slowly falls asleep for winter.
They say that autumn is a season of poets and philosophers, that’s why I really like it.

My favourite season is winter. Winter is a beautiful season. Some people like summer or autumn, but I am fond of winter. Winter months are December, January and February. But in Tatarstan the winter begins in November and ends in March or April.
I always look forward to this season. In winter the ground and trees are white with snow which crunches under your feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like precious diamonds hang down from the roofs of the houses.
Winter is a great time for children! The children like to play hockey, skate and sledge, but I prefer skiing. It`s so nice toski in the wood on a frosty sunny day! Sometimes I with my friends have a fight with snowballs or make a snowman.
When winter is over, I am always sorry, that it was too short and has passed so quickly. And then I begin to look forward to the next winter.

It’s a universal truth that every season is beautiful in its own way. Isn’t it wonderful to tramp down the country lanes on a frosty winter day. Everything is white with snow and it crunches under your feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like precious diamonds hang from the roofs of the houses. It’s a merry time for both children and grown-ups. They can go skating and skiing, sledging and having a fight with snowballs or making a snowman. I suppose, it is very pleasant while the frost lasts, an unpleasant time comes when the thaw begins.
Cars and buses go along streets splashing the mud an slush on the passers-by. Everyone is grumbling and scolding the weather. But soon a warm wind blows up heavy grey clouds and the sun shines brightly in the cloudless azure sky. In a few months summer will come.
Summer is the most suitable season for holidays and vacations. People enjoy bright summer days if they are in the country or at the seaside. They go bathing and swimming, and fishing and boating. But it’s unbearable to stay in town on such hot and glaring days. Everybody droops and shambles and tries to hide in the shade.
Then after a good rest autumn and harvest time comes. The corn has turned golden and the farmer will reap it and put it in his barn. The air is fresh and full of the autumn fragrance of ripe apples, plums and peaches and of course, coloured asters, chrysanthemums. But the weather is so changeable in autumn, people have to wear raincoats and umbrellas if they don’t want to get wet through. The dead leaves cover the ground like a thick motley carpet, the roads are slippery and wet, there are lots of puddles in the streets and again everyone is looking forward to frosty winter days and much snow out-of-doors.
It’s rather difficult to say what season is the best one, however dull and nasty or charming and marvellous the weather may be.
As to me, I always look forward to summer. I am never tired of its long sunny days, warm rains with thunderstorms and hail, the buzz of mosquitoes and midges. I like to spend my summer holidays at the seaside.
In my childhood I used to enjoy playing on the beach, making castles and forts in the sands. When one becomes older one begins to notice the murmur of the sea and it’s so beautiful to look at the moon’s way on the water in the darkness. The air is fresh and it’s easy to breathe. I like to lie in the sun getting as brown, paddle in the water or get splashed by the waves.
But it’s not every year that you can go to the seaside. Sometimes I spend my holidays in the country. Most of my time I spend in the woods gathering strawberries and flowers or at the river bathing and swimming in it. Very often, I help my granny in the vegetable garden weeding it or gathering tomatoes, cucumbers or radish. I like to walk in the rain or just sit indoors watching the raindrops falling down from the green leaves and blades of the grass onto the ground. Что касается меня, я всегда с нетерпением жду лета. Я никогда не устаю от его длинных солнечных дней, теплых дождей с грозами и градом, жужжанием комаров и мошек. Мне нравится проводить летние каникулы на море. В детстве я часто любил играть на пляже, делая замки и крепости из песка. Когда человек взрослеет, он начинает замечать особенный шум моря. My favourite season is summer. I choose summer not only because my birthday is in July, but also because it’s the time of holidays. Summer is the season when the sun shines brightly, the sky is rarely cloudy and the water in the sea becomes warm enough to swim. Even if it becomes too hot, you can always go for a walk in the shady woods. I also like summer because there are many berries, fruit and vegetables, not to mention numerous flowers on the fields. Among them roses, daisies, dandelions and other flowers. Sometimes the air in summer becomes stuffy, but occasional thunderstorms bring relief. After the thunderstorms the air becomes remarkably fresh and very often we can see the rainbow in the sky.
Summer is also the time when I and my family go on holiday to the seaside. It’s a wonderful time, when we can have a rest from the intense academic year and relax. I think all children love summer because of long school holidays and I’m no exception. I also enjoy my free time, playing with my friends, reading, and doing other fun activities. First of all, it is a holiday time and I have enough spare time for my favorite activities and hobbies. I can go for a walk with my friends, ride a bike, play football and do some other fun activities.
Moreover, the weather in summer is fantastic. It is sunny and warm. So I can spend the whole day outside.

July I normally spend with my grandparents in the countryside. They have a small country house not far from Moscow. The air is really fresh there. My granny has a small garden and I enjoy an opportunity to eat fresh vegetables, fruit, and berries every day. Sometimes I go fishing with my grandfather. But mostly I spend time with my friends. When the days are especially hot we tend to swim in the lake. Besides, we can play different games together, so I never get bored there.

In August we normally go on holiday to the seaside with my parents. I really enjoy swimming, sunbathing as well as playing beach volleyball and badminton. Spending several weeks at the seaside is an ideal way to relax for me.

В августе мы с родителями обычно едем отдыхать на море. Мне очень нравится плавать, загорать, а также играть в пляжный волейбол и бадминтон. Провести несколько недель на море – это отличный способ отдохнуть для меня.
Я считаю, что всем детям нравится лето, так как им не нужно рано вставать, идти в школу и делать домашнее задание. Это время, когда школьники могут отдохнуть от тяжелого учебного года.
The Seasons of the Year. My Favourite Season.
It’s a universal
truth that every season is beautiful in its own way. Isn’t it
wonderful to tramp down the country lanes on a frosty winter
day. Everything is white with snow and it crunches under your
feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like
precious diamonds hang from the roofs of the houses.
It’s a merry time
for both children and grownups. They can go skating and skiing,
sledging and having a fight with snowballs or making a snowman.
I suppose, it is very pleasant while the frost lasts, an
unpleasant time comes when the thaw begins.
Cars and buses go
along streets splashing the mud an slush on the passers-by.
Everyone is grumbling and scolding the weather. But soon a warm
wind blows up heavy grey clouds and the sun shines brightly in
the cloudless azure sky. In a few months summer will come.
Summer is the
most suitable season for holidays and vacations. People enjoy
bright summer days if they are in the country or at the seaside.
They go bathing and swimming, and fishing and boating. But it’s
unbearable to stay in town on such hot and glaring days.
Everybody droops and shambles and tries to hide in the shade.
Then after a good
rest autumn and harvest time comes. The corn has turned golden
and the farmer will reap it and put it in his barn. The air is
fresh and full of the autumn fragrance of ripe apples, plums and
peaches and of course, coloured asters, chrysanthemums.
But the weather
is so changeable in autumn, people have to wear raincoats and
umbrellas if they don’t want to get wet through. The dead leaves
cover the ground like a thick motley carpet, the roads are
slippery and wet, there are lots of puddles in the streets and
again everyone is looking forward to frosty winter days and much
snow out-of-doors.
It’s rather
difficult to say what season is the best one, however dull and
nasty or charming and marvellous the weather may be.
As to me, I
always look forward to summer. I am never tired of its long
sunny days, warm rains with thunderstorms and hail, the buzz of
mosquitoes and midges. I like to spend my summer holidays at the
seaside.
In my childhood I
used to enjoy playing on the beach, making castles and forts in
the sands. When one becomes older one begins to notice the
murmur of the sea and it’s so beautiful to look at the moon’s
way on the water in the darkness. The air is fresh and it’s easy
to breathe.
I like to lie in
the sun getting as brown, paddle in the water or get splashed by
the waves. But it’s not every year that you can go to the
seaside. Sometimes I spend my holidays in the country. Most of
my time I spend in the woods gathering strawberries and flowers
or at the river bathing and swimming in it.
Very often, I
help my granny in the vegetable garden weeding it or gathering
tomatoes, cucumbers or radish. I like to walk in the rain or
just sit indoors watching the raindrops falling down from the
green leaves and blades of the grass onto the ground.
When summer is
over, I always feel sorry, because it was too short and was too

Через несколько месяцев придет лето.
Лето — самое подходящее время для
отпусков и каникул. Люди наслаждаются яркими солнечными днями,
если они в деревне или на море. Они купаются и плавают, ловят
рыбу и катаются на лодках. Но невыносимо находиться в городе в
такие жаркие и палящие дни. Все сутулятся к волочат ноги,
пытаясь спрятаться в тени.
Затем, после хорошего отдыха,
приходит осень, время уборки урожая. Пшеница стала золотой, и
фермеры соберут ее и засыпят в амбары. Воздух свеж и полон
осеннего аромата спелых яблок, слив, персиков и, конечно,
разноцветных астр и хризантем.
Но осенью погода такая изменчивая,
людям приходится носить плащи и зонтики, если они не хотят
промокнуть насквозь. Опавшие листья покрывают землю толстым
пестрым ковром, дороги скользкие и мокрые. На улицах много луж,
и опять все с нетерпением ожидают морозных зимних дней.
Довольно трудно сказать, какое время
года самое лучшее, какой бы скучной и ненастной или прелестной и
изумительной ни была погода.
Что касается меня, я всегда с
нетерпением жду лета. Я никогда не устаю от его длинных
солнечных дней, теплых дождей с грозами и градом, жужжанием
комаров и мошек. Мне нравится проводить летние каникулы на море.
В детстве я часто любил играть на
пляже, делая замки и крепости из песка. Когда человек взрослеет,
он начинает замечать особенный шум моря. Так красиво, когда
смотришь в темноте на лунную дорожку на воде. Воздух свежий, и
легко дышится.
Мне нравится загорать, становиться
коричневым, плескаться в воде, или когда тебя забрызгивают
волны. Но не каждый год можно поехать к морю. Иногда я провожу
каникулы в деревне. Большую часть времени я провожу в лесу,
собирая землянику и цветы, или у реки, купаясь и плавая в ней.
Я часто помогаю бабушке в огороде,
полю сорняки или собираю помидоры, огурцы или редис. Мне
нравится гулять под дождем или просто сидеть в доме, наблюдая
как капли дождя стекают по зеленым листочкам и стебелькам травы
на землю.
Когда заканчивается лето, мне всегда

There are four different seasons in the year and they all are unique. They please and surprise us with beauty and natural phenomena. All children and adults have their favorite season. Someone likes spring, someone likes summer, someone waits for autumn and winter. Every time of the year, just like a person has his own mood. There are people who love all seasons.
Many people like summer. This is the time of rest and vacations. This season provides an excellent opportunity to go to the sea and sunbathe. In the summer season, many berries, fruits, and vegetables are ripening. Days are getting longer and hotter, the nights are shorter. You have an opportunity to go to the countryside to the lake, have a picnic, take a walk in the wood. But, unfortunately, this time passes very quickly and autumn comes.
Children go to the school. Fall is the golden time, it’s time to harvest. Green leaves change its color and please with beautiful contrasts of yellow and orange shades. Birds fly away to the south, animals prepare for the winter season. This time does not last long, comes the turn of heavy rains and cold.
And then winter comes. It pleases us with New Year’s holidays and fun. A lot of white, fluffy snow falls. In winter, you can ski, sled, and skate, ride in the mountains, build snowmen. Winter gives us a New Year mood. People begin to prepare for the holiday, decorate the trees, give each other gifts and have fun.
After a cold, frosty winter, spring comes. Everything around comes alive and awakens. The days become longer and warmer. The sun more often makes us happy with its rays. Birds come back and please us with their twitter. The snow melts and the murmurs of streams can be heard. Appears the first grass, flowers. Blossom buds in the trees. Forest animals get out of their holes. May beetles fly in. New life comes, with the arrival of spring.

После холодной, морозной зимы, приходит весна. Все вокруг оживает и пробуждается. Дни становятся длиннее и теплее. Солнце все чаще радует нас своими лучами. Возвращаются птицы с тёплых краев и радуют нас своим щебетом. Тает снег и слышно журчание ручьёв. Появляется первая трава, цветы. Распускаются почки на деревьях. Лесные звери вылезают из своих нор. Каждая пора года интересна и прекрасна по-своему. Я часто вижу детей, которые любят поплавать летом, собирать грибы и ягоды осенью, кататься на коньках и лыжах зимой. Я безумно люблю зиму. Ведь зимой можно столько всего интересного поделать. Можно и в снежки поиграть, погулять по зимнему лесу, покататься на лыжах и коньках и многое другое. Зима в моей стране по-настоящему холодная и морозная. Но некоторые мои друзья иностранцы мне очень завидуют, ведь мы можем делать столько всего именно зимой.
А ещё я люблю зиму за Рождество и Новый год. Я думаю, все эти праздники в России самые настоящие, ведь мы отмечаем их с настоящим снегом и морозом. Как только я вижу первый снег, чувствую, что праздники приближаются. А они мои самые любимые в году. Эти праздники я всегда отмечаю со своей семьёй. Они напоминают мне о детстве и свободе. Я верила в деда мороза и чудеса в детстве. Но, честно говоря, даже сейчас я думаю, что волшебство Рождества витает в воздухе.
А ещё здорово погулять на улице и подышать морозным воздухом. Любой врач скажет вам, что для здоровья полезно находиться на свежем воздухе. Может, вот поэтому зимой я чувствую себя полной энергии и позитива. Зимой я никогда не остаюсь дома, а навещаю друзей, и мы делаем чудесные снимки вместе. Но вообще я считаю, что моим друзьям зима не особо нравится.
Единственное, что огорчает меня, так это то, что дни очень короткие. Я выхожу в школу, а на улице ещё темно, а когда возвращаюсь, то уже темно. Но я занята постоянно, даже когда на дворе темно. У меня полно вдохновения и я постоянно занимаюсь каким-нибудь проектом. Если мне нездоровится, я беру чашку чая, шоколад и какую-нибудь интересную книгу.
Есть много полезных вещей, которыми можно заняться зимой, даже когда идёт снег, дует ветер и мороз. Я думаю, что зима – это лучшее время года. Я наслаждаюсь каждым днём и очень хочу, чтобы моя семья и друзья тоже радовались.

My favourite season
Season of the year to me
It’s difficult to say which season of the year is my favourite since each of them has its own charm and beauty.
Winter
I like winter because snow is amazing — especially being indoors with a fireplace watching it, but going outside and playing in the snow is still great. You’re never too old for it. Plus, it’s just beautiful and there’s a particular bite in the air when the temperature gets down below a certain point. I still get excited whenever I see a snowy-weather sky. I really love the New Year, so winter is among my favourites.
Spring
Spring is also beautiful. After the harsh winters it’s such a blessing to see the leaves coming back on the trees, the flowers starting to bloom again to smell the refreshing breezes of spring, the beautiful, colorful birds coming back and to feel the warm breezes of spring on my face.
Summer
I don’t very much like summer though because of the heat you can’t escape from.
Fall or autumn
But I think my favorite season of the year has got to be fall. In the fall, we typically still have nice warm and sunny weather, but the leaves and landscapes are changing from a more green color to shades of gold, orange, red and brown. Also, depending on what country you live in, fall brings lower temperatures and does away with the very hot days that are often spent sitting outside sunbathing or inside to avoid the heat wave. Fall allows people to bond by going for comfortable walks and enjoying each other’s company in the comfort of the still warm weather and the beautiful landscapes.It is so wonderful when the air turns more crisp and cool after the heat of summer. The fall wild flowers bloom and there are fields of sunflowers everywhere. It’s just about the best season all around. From most favorite to least favorite it runs like this for me: fall, spring, winter, summer.
Winter… I adore it. Somebody will say “Are you kidding ? Is it possible to adore ice-covered ground, freezing temperature, snowdrifts?”
But despite these words I`ll firmly stand for winter. You know.. though each season is good in its own way,winter is some kind of a special season, it`s a magical time for me, full of miracles, fairy-tales and mysteries…And there are some moments which are unforgettable…
Just imagine a picture: a long winter frosty evening. You are sitting in a dark room and the moonlight is struggling through the curtain…Crystal-clear snowflakes which look like little stars are dancing and falling on the ground, creating a thick sparkling snow carpet …The frost is becoming stronger & stronger… It`s going to paint some bizzare patterns on your windows soon..
… You`re drinking your hot tea… It burns your fingers, but its ok…Watching this beauty, you are infatuated only with it…
Forgetting about promlems and worries of the day, You enjoy the silence of magical winter night.You enjoy being here, in a real fairy-tale…
Maybe I`m just a romantic dreamer.. Maybe i`m dreaming too much. But maybe i`m just trying to feel my life complete..Don`t you think so?…

We always wait for chilly autumn to come after hot summer just the same way as we wait for sunny spring to come after hard winter. I always look forward to a new season, to the time when weather and nature change. There is something special in all the seasons. My favourite season of a year is spring. Why? There are a few reasons for that.
I love the nature that awakens after a long winter. It is easy to notice that from the very first days of spring the sun shines in a special way. The air may still be a bit chilly, but the sun is unusually warm.
I love to watch trees and flowers break into bloom. It is such a heart-warming feeling to suddenly notice first buds and leaves appearing on dull bare trees.
I cannot but mention the end of spring. May is my favourite spring month. Weather in May is particularly wonderful. It gets as warm as in summer.
Spring wind which is more like a breeze is also something worth mentioning. There is not such wind in any other time of a year. It is either pleasantly cool or nicely warm.
In spring it is not just nature that wakes up but also people. I think that in spring there are a lot more reasons for good mood, smiles and get-togethers.
I always look forward to spring. This time of a year I feel more energetic and active, I have plenty of new goals and dreams. In spring even the usual surroundings seem especially lovely and sweet.
I love spring because it brings the feeling of tranquillity and gratification. It seems to me that in spring there are fewer grounds for low mood. When spring draws to a close I look forward to summer. The reason for that is that each season is beautiful in its own way.

The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless, and the sun shines brightly. The trees are in full blossom. The nightingale begins to sing its lovely songs, and sweet melodies may be heard from every wood and park. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy.
Spring is followed by summer. The weather is usually fine in summer, but it can be very hot, especially in July. Sometimes there are storms with thunder and lightning. In summer people try to get away from the city noise and spend more time in the open air. They pick mushrooms and berries in the forest, swim in the rivers and lakes, go fishing and boating. Most people prefer to have their holidays in summer.
Autumn begins in September. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The leaves turn yellow, red and brown and fall to the ground. Most birds fly away to warm countries. There’s a short spell of dry sunny weather in September which is called Indian Summer. It’s a beautiful time when the sky is cloudless, the trees around are golden, the air is transparent and it’s still warm. But gradually it gets colder and colder. It often rains in October and November which makes autumn an unpleasant season.
In winter the sun sets early and rises late. The rivers and lakes are frozen over. Everything is covered with snow. Sometimes it’s very cold, about 25-30 degrees below zero. Going out in such weather isn’t very pleasant. Winter is a good time for sports. People go in for skating and skiing. Tobogganing is also popular, not as a kind of sports, but rather as fun.
As for me, I like all seasons, but I think there’s nothing like late spring.

My Favourite Season
There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Every season is beautiful in its own way.
When spring comes nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter. The ground is covered with emeraldgreen grass and spring flowers. The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless, and the sun shines brightly. The trees are in full blossom. The nightingale begins to sing its lovely songs, and sweet melodies may be heard from every wood and park. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy.
Spring is followed by summer. The weather is usually fine in summer, but it can be very hot, especially in July. Sometimes there are storms with thunder and lightning. In summer people try to get away from the city noise and spend more time in the open air. They pick mushrooms and berries in the forest, swim in the rivers and lakes, go fishing and boating. Most people prefer to have their holidays in summer.
Autumn begins in September. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The leaves turn yellow, red and brown and fall to the ground. Most birds fly away to warm countries. There’s a short spell of dry sunny weather in September which is called Indian Summer. It’s a beautiful time when the sky is cloudless, the trees around are golden, the air is transparent and it’s still warm. But gradually it gets colder and colder. It often rains in October and November which makes autumn an unpleasant season.
In winter the sun sets early and rises late. The rivers and lakes are frozen over. Everything is covered with snow. Sometimes it’s very cold, about 25-30 degrees below zero. Going out in such weather isn’t very pleasant. Winter is a good time for sports. People go in for skating and skiing. Tobogganing is also popular, not as a kind of sports, but rather as fun.
As for me, I like all seasons, but I think there’s nothing like late spring.

Когда приходит весна, природа пробуждается от долгого зимнего сна. Дни становятся длиннее, а ночи становятся короче. Земля покрыта изумрудной травой и весенними цветами. Летом люди пытаются уехать от городского шума и проводить больше времени на открытом воздухе. Они собирают грибы и ягоды в лесу, купаются в реках и озерах, рыбачат и катаются на лодках. Большинство людей предпочитает отдыхать в летнее время.
Осень начинается в сентябре. Дни становятся короче, а ночи длиннее. Листья становятся желтыми, красными и коричневыми и падают на землю. Большинство птиц улетает в теплые страны. В сентябре есть короткий период сухой солнечной погоды, который называется «бабье лето». Это прекрасное время, когда небо безоблачное, деревья вокруг золотые, воздух прозрачен и по-прежнему тепло. Но постепенно становится все холоднее и холоднее. Часто идет дождь в октябре и ноябре, что делает осень неприятным временем года.

My Favourite Season — Autumn
I like autumn very much. The autumn months are: September, October, November.
In September summer yields to autumn. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The sun rays are not so bright and warm. The fruit trees that not long ago bloomed with flowers are heavy with juicy apples and pears. Harvest time is a rush season for farmers. They gather sunflowers and maize, potatoes and cabbage, turnip and cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes. Early autumn is the period of flaming colours, when the landscape is gold and brown. In the daytime the silver gossamer is flying in the air. It’s a sign of the beautiful “Indian Summer”. But unfortunately this period of fine weather is very short and deep autumn follows it.
October is the best month for planting trees. People also prepare for winter. It is a season when the trees are fantastic — yellow, red, green and brown. The trees are loosing their leaves. Now the ground is like a carpet of many colours. It gets dark earlier and often heavy clouds cover the sky bringing rain. Birds don’t sing their songs. They begin to leave for warm countries.
November is the month of fog, rain and snow. Animals put on their winter coats. The landscape becomes rather dull.Nature slowly falls asleep for winter.
They say that autumn is a season of poets and philosophers, that’s why I really like it.

Они собирают подсолнечник и кукурузу, картофель и капусту, репу, огурцы, морковь и помидоры. Ранняя осень — период ярких красок, когда всё вокруг становится золотым и коричневым. Днём серебряные паутинки летают в воздухе. Это признак прекрасного «Бабьего лета». Но, к сожалению, этот период прекрасной погоды очень короткий и за ним следует глубокая осень.
Октябрь — самый лучший месяц для посадки деревьев. Люди также готовятся к зиме. Это время, когда деревья фантастические — желтые, красные, зеленые и коричневые. Деревья теряют листья. Теперь земля похожа на разноцветный ковер. Темнеет раньше и часто тяжелые тучи покрывают небо, принося дождь. Птицы не поют свои песни. Они начинают улетать в теплые страны.
Ноябрь — месяц туманов, дождя и снега. Животные одеваются в зимние шкуры. Пейзаж становится довольно скучным. Природа медленно засыпает.
Говорят, что осень — пора поэтов и философов, и поэтому она мне очень нравится.
My Favourite Season — Winter
My favourite season is winter. Winter is a beautiful season. Some people like summer or autumn, but I am fond of winter. Winter months are December, January and February. But in Tatarstan the winter begins in November and ends in March or April.
I always look forward to this season. In winter the ground and trees are white with snow which crunches under your feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like precious diamonds hang down from the roofs of the houses.
Winter is a great time for children! The children like to play hockey, skate and sledge, but I prefer skiing. It`s so nice toski in the wood on a frosty sunny day! Sometimes I with my friends have a fight with snowballs or make a snowman.
When winter is over, I am always sorry, that it was too short and has passed so quickly. And then I begin to look forward to the next winter.

Мое любимое время года это зима. Зима красивое время года. Некоторые люди любят лето или осень, но я обожаю зиму. Зимние месяцы это декабрь, январь и февраль. Но зима в Татарстане начинается в ноябре и заканчивается в марте или апреле.
Я всегда с нетерпением жду это время года. Зимой земля и деревья белые от снега, который хрустит под ногами. Иней сверкает на ветках и сосульки подобно драгоценным алмазам свисают с крыш домов. Зима великолепное время для детей! Дети любят играть в хоккей, кататься на коньках и санках, но я предпочитаю в морозный солнечный день кататься в лесу на лыжах.Иногда я со своими друзьями играю в снежки или делаю снеговика.
Кода зима заканчивается, я всегда жалею, что она была такая короткая и так быстро прошла. И я начинаю с нетерпением ждать следующую зиму.
My Favourite Season — Spring
I love spring. It is a wonderful season. Spring comes and nature awakens from its winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter.
The ground is covered with fresh green grass and the first spring flowers. How lovely the white snowdrops are! There are new leaves and blossoms on the trees. The birds begin to sing and build their nests. The air is fresh and the sun shines brightly. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy. Everybody feels younger and stronger.
Many people like spring more than other seasons. It is very pleasant to watch how the nature awakens from the winter sleep.
In spring we can go to the country and have a walk in the woods or by the river, play ball-games, lie in the sun and even have a swim if the water is warm enough.
That is why I like spring more than any other season of the year.

Воздух свеж, и ярко светит солнце. Дни теплые и все полно жизни и радости. Каждый чувствует себя моложе и сильнее.
Многие люди любят весну больше, чем другие времена года. Очень приятно наблюдать, как природа просыпается от зимнего сна. Весной мы можем поехать за город и прогулятся в лесу или по берегу реки, играть в игры с мячом, полежать на солнце и даже поплавать, если вода достаточно теплая.
Вот почему я люблю весну больше, чем любое другое время года.

It’s a universal truth that every season is beautiful in its own way. Isn’t it wonderful to tramp down the country lanes on a frosty winter day. Everything is white with snow and it crunches under your feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like precious diamonds hang from the roofs of the houses. It’s a merry time for both children and grown-ups. They can go skating and skiing, sledging and having a fight with snowballs or making a snowman. I suppose, it is very pleasant while the frost lasts, an unpleasant time comes when the thaw begins.
Cars and buses go along streets splashing the mud an slush on the passers-by. Everyone is grumbling and scolding the weather. But soon a warm wind blows up heavy grey clouds and the sun shines brightly in the cloudless azure sky. In a few months summer will come.
Summer is the most suitable season for holidays and vacations. People enjoy bright summer days if they are in the country or at the seaside. They go bathing and swimming, and fishing and boating. But it’s unbearable to stay in town on such hot and glaring days. Everybody droops and shambles and tries to hide in the shade.
Then after a good rest autumn and harvest time comes. The corn has turned golden and the farmer will reap it and put it in his barn. The air is fresh and full of the autumn fragrance of ripe apples, plums and peaches and of course, coloured asters, chrysanthemums. But the weather is so changeable in autumn, people have to wear raincoats and umbrellas if they don’t want to get wet through. The dead leaves cover the ground like a thick motley carpet, the roads are slippery and wet, there are lots of puddles in the streets and again everyone is looking forward to frosty winter days and much snow out-of-doors.
It’s rather difficult to say what season is the best one, however dull and nasty or charming and marvellous the weather may be.
As to me, I always look forward to summer. I am never tired of its long sunny days, warm rains with thunderstorms and hail, the buzz of mosquitoes and midges. I like to spend my summer holidays at the seaside.
In my childhood I used to enjoy playing on the beach, making castles and forts in the sands. When one becomes older one begins to notice the murmur of the sea and it’s so beautiful to look at the moon’s way on the water in the darkness. The air is fresh and it’s easy to breathe. I like to lie in the sun getting as brown, paddle in the water or get splashed by the waves.
But it’s not every year that you can go to the seaside. Sometimes I spend my holidays in the country. Most of my time I spend in the woods gathering strawberries and flowers or at the river bathing and swimming in it. Very often, I help my granny in the vegetable garden weeding it or gathering tomatoes, cucumbers or radish. I like to walk in the rain or just sit indoors watching the raindrops falling down from the green leaves and blades of the grass onto the ground. When summer is over, I always feel sorry, because it was too short and was too quick to pass.

На улицах много луж, и опять все с нетерпением ожидают морозных зимних дней.
Довольно трудно сказать, какое время года самое лучшее, какой бы скучной и ненастной или прелестной и изумительной ни была погода.

Spring is the time of nature awakening and flower blooming. Autumn can be rainy and yet beautiful, full of multi-coloured leaves.
My favourite season is summer. I choose summer not only because my birthday is in July, but also because it’s the time of holidays. Summer is the season when the sun shines brightly, the sky is rarely cloudy and the water in the sea becomes warm enough to swim. Even if it becomes too hot, you can always go for a walk in the shady woods. I also like summer because there are many berries, fruit and vegetables, not to mention numerous flowers on the fields. Among them roses, daisies, dandelions and other flowers. Sometimes the air in summer becomes stuffy, but occasional thunderstorms bring relief. After the thunderstorms the air becomes remarkably fresh and very often we can see the rainbow in the sky.
Summer is also the time when I and my family go on holiday to the seaside. It’s a wonderful time, when we can have a rest from the intense academic year and relax. I think all children love summer because of long school holidays and I’m no exception. I also enjoy my free time, playing with my friends, reading, and doing other fun activities. Nevertheless, I don’t forget to do some useful reading from time to time.

Даже если становится слишком жарко, всегда можно пойти на прогулку в тенистый лес. Ещё я люблю лето из-за того, что появляется много ягод, фруктов и овощей, не говоря уже о многочисленных цветах на полях. Среди них, розы, ромашки, одуванчики и другие цветы. Иногда воздух становится душным, но случайные грозы приносят облегчение. После грозы воздух становится значительно свежее, и очень часто можно увидеть радугу в небе.
Лето, это также сезон, когда мы с родителями уезжаем в отпуск на берег моря. Это замечательное время, когда можно отдохнуть от напряженного учебного года и расслабиться. Я думаю, что все дети любят лето из-за долгих школьных каникул, и я не исключение. Я также наслаждаюсь своим свободным временем, играю с друзьями, читаю, и занимаюсь другими беззаботными делами. There are four seasons in a year and all of them are good in their own way. However, the season I like most of all is summer.
First of all, it is a holiday time and I have enough spare time for my favorite activities and hobbies. I can go for a walk with my friends, ride a bike, play football and do some other fun activities.
Moreover, the weather in summer is fantastic. It is sunny and warm. So I can spend the whole day outside.

July I normally spend with my grandparents in the countryside. They have a small country house not far from Moscow. The air is really fresh there. My granny has a small garden and I enjoy an opportunity to eat fresh vegetables, fruit, and berries every day. Sometimes I go fishing with my grandfather. But mostly I spend time with my friends. When the days are especially hot we tend to swim in the lake. Besides, we can play different games together, so I never get bored there.

In August we normally go on holiday to the seaside with my parents. I really enjoy swimming, sunbathing as well as playing beach volleyball and badminton. Spending several weeks at the seaside is an ideal way to relax for me.
I believe that all children love summer because they do not have to wake up early, go to school and do homework. It is the time when pupils can have a rest from a tough academic year.
В августе мы с родителями обычно едем отдыхать на море. Мне очень нравится плавать, загорать, а также играть в пляжный волейбол и бадминтон. Провести несколько недель на море – это отличный способ отдохнуть для меня.

There are four different seasons in the year and they all are unique. They please and surprise us with beauty and natural phenomena. All children and adults have their favorite season. Someone likes spring, someone likes summer, someone waits for autumn and winter. Every time of the year, just like a person has his own mood. There are people who love all seasons.
Many people like summer. This is the time of rest and vacations. This season provides an excellent opportunity to go to the sea and sunbathe. In the summer season, many berries, fruits, and vegetables are ripening. Days are getting longer and hotter, the nights are shorter. You have an opportunity to go to the countryside to the lake, have a picnic, take a walk in the wood. But, unfortunately, this time passes very quickly and autumn comes.
Children go to the school. Fall is the golden time, it’s time to harvest. Green leaves change its color and please with beautiful contrasts of yellow and orange shades. Birds fly away to the south, animals prepare for the winter season. This time does not last long, comes the turn of heavy rains and cold.
And then winter comes. It pleases us with New Year’s holidays and fun. A lot of white, fluffy snow falls. In winter, you can ski, sled, and skate, ride in the mountains, build snowmen. Winter gives us a New Year mood. People begin to prepare for the holiday, decorate the trees, give each other gifts and have fun.
After a cold, frosty winter, spring comes. Everything around comes alive and awakens. The days become longer and warmer. The sun more often makes us happy with its rays. Birds come back and please us with their twitter. The snow melts and the murmurs of streams can be heard. Appears the first grass, flowers. Blossom buds in the trees. Forest animals get out of their holes. May beetles fly in. New life comes, with the arrival of spring.

Летом дни длинные и жаркие, ночи короткие и тёплые. Можно поехать загород к озеру, устроить пикник, совершить прогулку по лесу. Но, к сожалению, это время года проходит очень быстро и наступает осень. Дети идут в школу. Осень – золотая пора, время собирать урожай. Вся зелень меняет свой цвет и радует красивыми контрастами жёлтого и оранжевого оттенков. Улетают птицы, звери готовятся к зимнему сезону. Такая пора длится не долго, приходит черёд сильных дождей и холодов.
И вот приходит зима. Она радует нас новогодними праздниками и весельем. Выпадает много белого, пушистого снега. Зимой можно кататься на лыжах, санках, и коньках, ездить в горы, строить снежных баб. Зима дарит нам новогоднее настроение. Люди начинают готовиться к празднику, наряжают ёлки, дарят друг другу подарки и веселятся.
После холодной, морозной зимы, приходит весна. Все вокруг оживает и пробуждается. Дни становятся длиннее и теплее. Солнце все чаще радует нас своими лучами. Возвращаются птицы с тёплых краев и радуют нас своим щебетом. Тает снег и слышно журчание ручьёв. Появляется первая трава, цветы. Распускаются почки на деревьях. Лесные звери вылезают из своих нор. Прилетают майские жуки. С приходом весны, наступает новая жизнь.
Каждая пора года интересна и прекрасна по-своему. Я часто вижу детей, которые любят поплавать летом, собирать грибы и ягоды осенью, кататься на коньках и лыжах зимой. Я безумно люблю зиму. Ведь зимой можно столько всего интересного поделать. Можно и в снежки поиграть, погулять по зимнему лесу, покататься на лыжах и коньках и многое другое. Зима в моей стране по-настоящему холодная и морозная. Но некоторые мои друзья иностранцы мне очень завидуют, ведь мы можем делать столько всего именно зимой.
А ещё я люблю зиму за Рождество и Новый год. Я думаю, все эти праздники в России самые настоящие, ведь мы отмечаем их с настоящим снегом и морозом. Как только я вижу первый снег, чувствую, что праздники приближаются. А они мои самые любимые в году. Эти праздники я всегда отмечаю со своей семьёй. Они напоминают мне о детстве и свободе. Я верила в деда мороза и чудеса в детстве. Но, честно говоря, даже сейчас я думаю, что волшебство Рождества витает в воздухе.
А ещё здорово погулять на улице и подышать морозным воздухом. Любой врач скажет вам, что для здоровья полезно находиться на свежем воздухе. Может, вот поэтому зимой я чувствую себя полной энергии и позитива. Зимой я никогда не остаюсь дома, а навещаю друзей, и мы делаем чудесные снимки вместе. Но вообще я считаю, что моим друзьям зима не особо нравится.
Единственное, что огорчает меня, так это то, что дни очень короткие. Я выхожу в школу, а на улице ещё темно, а когда возвращаюсь, то уже темно. Но я занята постоянно, даже когда на дворе темно. У меня полно вдохновения и я постоянно занимаюсь каким-нибудь проектом. Если мне нездоровится, я беру чашку чая, шоколад и какую-нибудь интересную книгу.
Есть много полезных вещей, которыми можно заняться зимой, даже когда идёт снег, дует ветер и мороз. Я думаю, что зима – это лучшее время года. Я наслаждаюсь каждым днём и очень хочу, чтобы моя семья и друзья тоже радовались.

Я не очень люблю лето из-за жары, от которой не спрячешься.
Осень
Но я думаю, мое самое любимое время года – осень. Осенью погода еще в большинстве своем теплая и солнечная, а листья на деревьях меняют свой цвет с зеленого на золотой, рыжий, красный и коричневый. В зависимости от того, в какой стране вы живете, осень приносит с собой прохладу и прощается с изнуряющими жаркими летними днями, когда трудно укрыться от палящего солнца. Осень позволяет нам проводить больше времени вместе, ходить на долгие прогулки и наслаждаться компанией друг друга и окружающими пейзажами в теплый погожий день. Мне также нравится, когда воздух становится прохладным после летней жары и в нем чувствуется приближение зимы. Осенние цветы распускаются и повсюду в полях можно видеть подсолнухи. Я думаю, осень лучшее время года. Если бы меня попросили распределить времена года от любимого до нелюбимого, я бы сделала это так: осень, зима, весна, лето.

My favourite season
Season of the year to me
It’s difficult to say which season of the year is my favourite since each of them has its own charm and beauty.
Winter
I like winter because snow is amazing — especially being indoors with a fireplace watching it, but going outside and playing in the snow is still great. You’re never too old for it. Plus, it’s just beautiful and there’s a particular bite in the air when the temperature gets down below a certain point. I still get excited whenever I see a snowy-weather sky. I really love the New Year, so winter is among my favourites.
Spring
Spring is also beautiful. After the harsh winters it’s such a blessing to see the leaves coming back on the trees, the flowers starting to bloom again to smell the refreshing breezes of spring, the beautiful, colorful birds coming back and to feel the warm breezes of spring on my face.
Summer
I don’t very much like summer though because of the heat you can’t escape from.
Fall or autumn
But I think my favorite season of the year has got to be fall. In the fall, we typically still have nice warm and sunny weather, but the leaves and landscapes are changing from a more green color to shades of gold, orange, red and brown. Also, depending on what country you live in, fall brings lower temperatures and does away with the very hot days that are often spent sitting outside sunbathing or inside to avoid the heat wave. Fall allows people to bond by going for comfortable walks and enjoying each other’s company in the comfort of the still warm weather and the beautiful landscapes.It is so wonderful when the air turns more crisp and cool after the heat of summer. The fall wild flowers bloom and there are fields of sunflowers everywhere. It’s just about the best season all around. From most favorite to least favorite it runs like this for me: fall, spring, winter, summer.
Winter… I adore it. Somebody will say “Are you kidding ? Is it possible to adore ice-covered ground, freezing temperature, snowdrifts?”
But despite these words I`ll firmly stand for winter. You know.. though each season is good in its own way,winter is some kind of a special season, it`s a magical time for me, full of miracles, fairy-tales and mysteries…And there are some moments which are unforgettable…
Just imagine a picture: a long winter frosty evening. You are sitting in a dark room and the moonlight is struggling through the curtain…Crystal-clear snowflakes which look like little stars are dancing and falling on the ground, creating a thick sparkling snow carpet …The frost is becoming stronger & stronger… It`s going to paint some bizzare patterns on your windows soon..
… You`re drinking your hot tea… It burns your fingers, but its ok…Watching this beauty, you are infatuated only with it…
Forgetting about promlems and worries of the day, You enjoy the silence of magical winter night.You enjoy being here, in a real fairy-tale…
Maybe I`m just a romantic dreamer.. Maybe i`m dreaming too much. But maybe i`m just trying to feel my life complete..Don`t you think so?…

Вы пьёте горячий чай… Он обжигает вам пальцы, но ничего… Глядя на эту красоту, вы захвачены только ею.
Забывая о проблемах и беспокойствах дня, вы наслаждаетесь тишиной волшебной зимней ночи… Вы наслаждаетесь своим присутствием здесь, в настоящей сказке..
Возможно, я просто романтический мечтатель… Возможно я СЛИШКОМ много мечтаю. А может, я просто пытаюсь ощутить свою жизнь по-настоящему. Как вы думаете?

We always wait for chilly autumn to come after hot summer just the same way as we wait for sunny spring to come after hard winter. I always look forward to a new season, to the time when weather and nature change. There is something special in all the seasons. My favourite season of a year is spring. Why? There are a few reasons for that.
I love the nature that awakens after a long winter. It is easy to notice that from the very first days of spring the sun shines in a special way. The air may still be a bit chilly, but the sun is unusually warm.
I love to watch trees and flowers break into bloom. It is such a heart-warming feeling to suddenly notice first buds and leaves appearing on dull bare trees.
I cannot but mention the end of spring. May is my favourite spring month. Weather in May is particularly wonderful. It gets as warm as in summer.
Spring wind which is more like a breeze is also something worth mentioning. There is not such wind in any other time of a year. It is either pleasantly cool or nicely warm.
In spring it is not just nature that wakes up but also people. I think that in spring there are a lot more reasons for good mood, smiles and get-togethers.
I always look forward to spring. This time of a year I feel more energetic and active, I have plenty of new goals and dreams. In spring even the usual surroundings seem especially lovely and sweet.
I love spring because it brings the feeling of tranquillity and gratification. It seems to me that in spring there are fewer grounds for low mood. When spring draws to a close I look forward to summer. The reason for that is that each season is beautiful in its own way.
