I’m not a very sociable person. To my mind, it’s not obliged for people to have a lot of friends in order to be happy. It’s enough, as I think, to have one or two friends who are able to understand you and to support you in hard situations. So, there are few people whom I can call friends. We have much in common and we enjoy communicating with each other.
One of my friends is Natalie. She is eighteen. I can say that she is beautiful and smart girl. She left school 2 years ago and now she is a second year student of the University. Natalie wants to be a journalist. She studies well because she is greatly interested in her future profession. Natalie is a hardworking girl too. I admire this feature of her character because I don’t have it.
Natalie does not have much free time but if she has, she likes to spend it in a good company, consisting of her school friends. When we gather together we like to listen to music, both classical and modern one, to watch new films and discuss them. I enjoy talking to her a lot because she knows many interesting facts about famous people, history. Her favorite subject at school were history and literature. She is fond of reading. Books have become part and parcel of her life.
We trust each other so much that we have some personal secrets which are not revealed to the others. I can tell her about my troubles and I am sure that Natalie would help me and give me a piece of good advice.

What is the friendship? I suppose it’s a quite complicated term. Friendship is not only the number of people who you communicate with every day but it’s a deep feeling of support and understanding that you receive from them. Furthermore, you can’t make friends in one day. Friendship comes with the years you have spent together, experiences you’ve had together and the troubles you’ve got into and sorted out together.
I’m absolutely convinced that nobody can have a lot of friends. People can have a lot of classmates, colleagues or acquaintances but not friends. As for me I just have two people in my life that I can call real close friends. Their names are Kate and Ann and they are of the same age as me. We have known each other for ages and I can say we have been friends as long as I remember myself. All of us really have a lot in common. We are keen on the same music, the same clothes and we are even in love with the same boys.
In spite of that, we also have quarrels as all other friends. We can’t agree about some trivial things from time to time. Nevertheless, we can’t be in a quarrel for a long time and finally, we understand that nothing is more important than our friendship.
We adore spending time together. It doesn’t matter what we do, listen to music, surf the internet, go shopping or have a meal in a cafe, the time together always means a plenty of fun. We all have different talents and hobbies. I’m good at dancing, Kate is a brilliant tennis player and Ann draws fantastic pictures, but we try to teach each other and we’re really interested in each other’s lives.
I have always been thinking what the secret of long and successful friendship is. Now I can surely claim that it’s trust and respect. I trust my friends and get the same from them.

Дружба – это не только количество людей, с которыми ты общаешься каждый день, но это глубокое чувство поддержки и понимания, которые ты получаешь от них. Более того, нельзя стать друзьями за один день. Дружба приходит с годами, которые Вы провели вместе, опытом, который Вы получили вместе и бедами, в которые Вы попали и из которых выбрались вместе.
Я абсолютно убеждена, что ни у кого нет много друзей. У людей может быть много одноклассников, много коллег, знакомых, но не друзей. Что касается меня, у меня есть только двое людей в моей жизни, которых я могу назвать настоящими, близкими друзьями. Их зовут Катя и Аня и они того же возраста, что и я. Мы знаем друг друга уже целую вечность, и я могу сказать, что мы дружим так долго, как я помню себя. Мы все действительно имеем много общего. Нам нравится одна и та же музыка, одна и та же одежда и даже мы влюбляемся в одних и тех же мальчиков.
Но, не смотря на это, мы ссоримся также как и любые друзья. Время от времени мы не можем согласиться друг с другом по поводу обыденных вещей. Тем не менее, мы не можем быть долго в ссоре, и, в конце концов, мы понимаем, что нет ничего важнее нашей дружбы.
Мы обожаем проводить время вместе. И не важно чем мы занимаемся: слушаем музыку, сидим в интернете, ходим за покупками или кушаем в кафе – время, проводимое вместе, всегда означает много веселья. У нас разные таланты и хобби. Я хорошо танцую, Катя отличная теннисистка, а Аня рисует замечательные картины, но мы стараемся учить друг друга, и нас действительно интересуют жизни друг друга.

Friendship is a special relationship between people. People need this relationship because they expect help and comfort from each other. Those who have friends have less stress and live longer. Friendship is usually based on common interests and mutual understanding, true encouragement and sympathy.
They say “Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’s a million little things” and I agree. To me it means that friendship isn’t always about one big gesture of help. Instead, true friendship is about millions of ongoing little actions you do day in and day out, that show how much you care about and value your friend.
They say: “A person has just one true friend”. I think it’s possible to have more than one true friend. It’s hard to find a person who will share your whole life. People can change and their interests change, that’s why we can have more than one true friend during the life.
Muhammad Ali once said: “If you haven’t learnt the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learnt anything”. Не meant that friendship is in some aspects more important than anything that you learn at school. He meant that nothing that you know matters if you do not understand friendship.
What rolе do friends play in your life? You can have a lot of acquaintances, they come and go, but a true friend is always there when you need a shoulder to cry on. Having a good friend can usually brighten a bad day and make you smile because that is what friends are for. If you feel depressed your friend will hang out with you to amuse you, to cheer you up and have a laugh with you. A good friend will not take offence at you if you disagree with him.
I have no friends among adults apart from my parents. I think that it’s easier to make friends among your peers. My best friend is of the same age with me.
I have a wide circle of friends who are on the same wavelength. I get on well with them because I respect their differences. It is fun to be with them all, but my special friend is _________. People usually become friends when they have much in common, when they have much to tell each other, when they trust each other and rely on each other. So, if you want to get acquainted with someone and understand if this person can become your friend, you may ask the following questions:
What music do you like? / What books do you read? / What TV programs do you prefer?
What’s your hobby?
What personal qualities do you appreciate in people?
If you want to understand if people are close friends, you can ask the same questions and compare the answers. Close friends will have similar answers.
I think it’s a bit easier to make friends when you 6-10 years, because children of this age are more outgoing and sociable. But I guess making friends doesn’t really depend on how old you are. If a person is friendly, it won’t be hard for him to get to know someone.
Making friends is not easy for some people and in some situations. These situations may be different – moving to a new school, moving to a new place, bullying at school, etc. Many teenagers are nervous about starting a conversation, because possible neglecting frightens them. To ease the tension, I’d advise not to be afraid of new people and not to think that all people around you must like you. If they don’t – it’s normal. You are simply different kinds of people. Try to find a group of your kind and make friends with them.
Nowadays teenagers have many virtual friends in contact or Facebook. I can’t name those friends real ones. Friends in social networks can have much in common, but virtual friendship can’t replace real communication when you spend time together.
Nowadays people prefer to have more money than many friends. They say that a person with money can afford everything and can solve any problem. I am sure that money can’t buy you real friends. And there are really such situations when you need friends and their emotional support more than money. That’s why I prefer to have both money and real friends.

Многие подростки озабочены тем, как начать разговор, ведь возможное пренебрежение их персоной пугает. Чтобы снять напряженность, я бы посоветовал не бояться новых людей и не думать, что все люди вокруг должны непременно вас полюбить. Если вы кому-то не нравитесь – это нормально. Вы просто разные люди. Попробуйте найти группу по интересам и подружиться.
В настоящее время подростки имеют много виртуальных друзей в вконтакте или Facebook. Я не могу назвать таких друзей настоящими. Друзья в социальных сетях могут иметь много общего, но виртуальная дружба не может заменить реального общения и совместного времяпрепровождения.
В настоящее время люди предпочитают иметь много денег, а не друзей. Говорят, что человек с деньгами может позволить себе все и может решить любую проблему. Я уверен, что за деньги нельзя купить настоящих друзей. И действительно, существуют такие ситуации, когда вам больше нужны друзья и их эмоциональная поддержка, а не деньги. Вот почему я предпочитаю иметь и то и другое)))).

I’ve read an interesting proverb today, “A good friend is like a four–leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.” and while I was reading it, I wondered “What is friendship in fact?” So let’s find out!
Friendship is a special kind of relationships between people. People need it because they expect help and comfort from each other. Those who have friends have less stress and live longer. Friendship is usually based on common interests and mutual understanding, true encouragement and sympathy. Usually people meet, get acquainted, communicate and as a result become friends. But, only time can show, whether the friendship is strong or not.
The most important feeling that exists between friends is trust. It never appears from nowhere, it’s a result of communication, support in difficult situations, long-lasting friendship. Respect is also very important. It means that you don’t criticize your friend’s lifestyle, you always try to understand him, discuss problems with him and explain to him your feelings and emotions. Never forget to discuss important issues with your best friend or friends, because reservations can lead into the end of friendship.
I have many good friends, but two of them are the best. Their names are Annie and Natalie. They make my life brighter and more interesting. When I’m bored, I can always call my them and ask to come over and have a party. Once a month we go to the cinema or to the theatre, we call it “trinity time”. I consider them to be a part of my family. We’ve known each other for more than 20 years. I fully trust them and I know that they would do anything for me. We are always caring and attentive to each other. I know that it’s not easy to find a real friendship. I have met lots of fake friends as well. So, now I try to appreciate the relations that I have with my true ones.
I want to finish this topic with my favorite quote, “Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.”

Самое важное чувство, которое существует между друзьями — это доверие. Оно не появляется из ниоткуда, это результат общения, поддержки в трудных ситуациях, долговременной дружбы. Уважение также очень важно. Это означает, что вы не критикуете образ жизни своего друга, вы всегда пытаетесь его понять, обсуждаете с ним проблемы и объясняете ему свои чувства и эмоции. Никогда не забывайте обсуждать важные вопросы с вашим лучшим другом или друзьями, потому что недомолвки могут привести к концу дружбы.

The most important thing for being good friends, to my mind, is to be ready to help one another in any situation, nevertheless how difficult it is, to support one another and to solve all the problems together. And never mind, that the friends may have different interests and hobbies, different likes and dislikes. They say that the friend in need is a friend indeed. I think it is really so.
My friend and I always do our best to help one another. We discuss all our troubles and try to find the best decision in any situation. My friend is a very good, kind and clever boy (girl). We often spend our free time together. It is not very easy now, because both of us are very busy — we are going to enter institutes and have a lot of work to do.
My friend is going to become a doctor (a teacher, an engineer, a lawyer). Our future professions are different (the same) and the subjects we have to study are different (the same) too, but (and) we like to work together and to help one another in our study.
When we have some free time, we go for walks, read and discuss books, watch films, go to discos or play computer games. Playing computer games is our hobby. Both of us are fond of sport. I have a lot of friends. Most of them are classmates. My best friend called Alex. He is fourteen. He lives with his parents not far from the school.
Alex has a lot of hobbies: he likes to play the computer, to read detective stories, to collect butterflies. He likes animals, espesially cats. He has got a cat Lastik at home.
Alex has short, light hair and grey eyes. He is quite short and rather thin. He always manages to be cheerful, energetic, full of life and energy. He is helpful and honest.
Alex is very popular. Hе is a helpful person and every time he tries to do her best to help somebody when he has problems.

Friends come and go throughout our life, and each friendship is a one-of-a-kind relationship. Some friends are a joy to be with while others may bore us to death. Nat is an easy going person who likes to communicate and spend time with people. She makes friends easily. Nataly loves travelling, and she has found a great partner for such a hobby. It’s her husband. His name is Alex. They spent a lot of time traveling around our country and looking for interesting and unusual places. But after giving birth to her daughter Alice, they stay at home more often. Nat has become a housewife, and nowadays she takes care of her family. She lives in another city, but I can always call her whenever I want to and chat about everything and nothing.

According to the dictionary friendship is a feeling and behaviour that exist between people, but what these feelings are and what this behaviour is everyone should decide for himself. I consider that friendship is a gift from the God. that’s why I highly appreciate it. I think it is hard to find a close friend because people are unique creatures of nature, all of them have their own habits, opinions and judgments which differ from others.
It makes sense to say that friendship can be compared to a tree. Its seed should find good soil and under favourable conditions it will grow into a tree. As the years go by the tree stands firmer and firmer on the ground and if it is strong enough it will survive all the storms and winds, but to help it we should take care of it and love it.
In my opinion lucky are the people who have real friends. As for me I’m happy to have lots of friends, some of them are close, some are less, but all of them make my life interesting and enjoyable and I can’t imagine my life without them, because friendship means very much for me. Being friends means making allowances for the other person’s faults, being tolerant to each other moods. The most important thing about friends for me is being able to share secrets, to tell each other your problems and share your worries, to help each other out.
As I’ve said before a real friend is the gift from the God. In my opinion an ideal friend should posses such qualities as honesty, sincerity, faith, tolerance and respect in attitude to you. A friend is a person who can help you in no time, lend you a hand, whom you can wake up in the middle of the night just to say you feel worried or who is eager to do everything for you waiting nothing in return, who supports you in all your beginnings and who will never betray you. To my mind really close and devoted friend can be not only the same sex as you. It doesn’t matter your best friend is a girl or a boy. I think that her or his soul, character and attitude to you are considerably more important. I disagree with people who say that boys are better friends than girls. Such people think that a boy-friend can never spread false stories about you or tell your secrets to the entire world, but to my mind it depends on his moral qualities. I knew one boy who began to spread stories about me, saying I was dishonest, unreliable and impudent, when we broke our relations, but I still actually believe in friendship between fellows and girls, that’s why I have equal amount of boys and girls among my close friends.
But in my opinion it isn’t an easy thing to be a true friend and before somebody can name you his best friend you should prove your friendship. To my mind everyone can have only one or two true friends, because a friend to all is a friend to none. I believe that faithful friend can brighten your life and make it more interesting, vivid and enjoyable. You are interested in your friend with all his positive and negative traits of personality and your friend in his turn can understand and forgive you everything. You shouldn’t tell a lie to your friend, there mustn’t be hypocrisy in your speech and even in thoughts. Before telling your friend something, before doing anything you should think a lot and guess what kind influence it will render on him and on his life. So I think that it is difficult to be a real friend, but to my mind all of us try to achieve the ideal of a true friend.
I’m sure you will agree that nowadays there are various ways of acquaintance. Some people make friends when they are in guests or on weddings, others prefer to find friends with the help of newspapers or the Internet. Somebody can get acquainted with his future friend when he even doesn’t expect it, for example, when he simply walks in a park or goes anywhere by public transport.
What about me I have known my best friend Natasha almost all my life, but 1 can never forget our first meeting. It was in summer when our families decided to rest in the south together. When we drove up to their house my attention was attracted by a little tidy girl in a rose dress, who was sitting to squat and playing with her long blond curl, but I can’t say that my first impressions were the same as my opinion about her now, because meeting people for the first time we always make a judgment based on their appearance though the proverb tells us not to make such a mistake. At first she seemed to me so correct, obedient and shy that I didn’t like her, but when we began to communicate closer I understood I was mistaken. I think it makes sense to say that when we returned home we were loyal friends.
Today she has changed a lot but we are still best friends and now I think Natasha is a very charming and pretty seventeen-year-old girl. She isn’t tall and I can’t even say that she is of average height but she is always smart and elegant. Natasha has an attractive face which is broaden with open and frank features. She is the owner of a blunt nose, large expressive green eyes and radiant smile that immediately makes people smile in return. Her blond hair and sort voice make her similar to a little beautiful princess from a fairy-tale.
My friend likes casual clothes. Natasha hates skirts and formal blouses, but adores tight-fitting trousers and casual T-shirts. She prefers low-heeled shoes to high-heeled, because they are more comfortable to her mind.
I believe that Natasha is a very amazing girl, because she differs from other people. When she was about twelve she became a real tomboy, she communicated only with boys except me, she liked to play rough and boys’ games and she even decided to go to the army when she would come of age. All her friends and relatives tried to dissuade her and at least she agreed, but frankly speaking. I can’t understand her desire even now, though in general we are very alike. It’s true that Natasha is a very enthusiastic and active person, you can hardly find her sitting at one place without doing anything but in spite of it she constantly has no free time. My friend is a gregarious person and an optimist; she is never bored but always smiles and laughs, that is why I like her fascinating smile very much. I should say I can never be bored it my friend keeps company for me, because she is so cheerful and joyous. She is responsible and original, I think. Such friends like she can be characterized as devoted. frank and careful, because she can never refuse if I need support or a piece of advice, she is always eager to help me and to calm me with the help of a tender word. To my mind Natasha is an intelligent, skillful and diligent girl, that’s why her success in study is brilliant. Now she studies at gymnasium number 56 in physics-mathematics class. I’d like to add that she is a great daydreamer, because she has always got her head in the clouds and she is always dreaming about something.
But like other people she isn’t an ideal. Sometimes she is too lazy and stubborn and I dislike it a bit. She is rather impatient, because she can’t wait for long. But these features of her character don’t matter much for me; I try not to pay attention to them because in general she is a wonderful person, whom I worship a lot.
Though Natasha is a busy girl and she doesn’t have much free time, she always tries to find spare time for her hobbies and interests, because she has a lot of them. Most of all she likes to play computer games and solve various problems on it. She says she can’t imagine her life without this machine. When Natasha relaxes she likes to look through different interesting magazines and newspapers but she doesn’t like to read books, especially large books like “War and Piece” by Tolstoy. Sometimes she can write poems about love. It happens rarely but I’m always the first person who reads her poems and gives an objective mark. Natasha is fond of sport but this year she has very little time for it, because she is very busy with her studying, because she enters the university this year.
And unfortunately that is the main reason why we see each other quite rarely, but we phone each other almost every day, we try to meet on our days off and that’s why we don’t feel separation from each other. Though I can’t see Natasha every day I think about her all the time.
At these rare times when we see each other we like to attend cinema or central park, but most of all we like to speak. When we meet our mouths are never close because we can speak for hours, I can discuss with my best friend such problems that I can’t discuss with my parents. We speak about fellows and our relations with them, we discuss our problems with parents and share our thoughts and dreams. It doesn’t mean that I can’t say about all these things to my mother, but I know that nobody can understand me better than Natasha. I know that only she can support me and help me in everything, because we are very alike, we think in the same way and our points of view often coincide, but in spite of it I can’t say that nothing worries me in our relationships, though also I can’t say there are some real problems or misunderstandings between us. We see each other rather rarely, because we live in different districts and she is too busy even on days off and I dislike it a lot. I consider she is a bit disorderly and she can’t plan her day off in a right way, that’s why she doesn’t manage to do everything she wants. Natasha often has troubles and problems with her parents and it is another thing that worries me. I know her parents very well and to my mind they are wonderful people, but sometimes my friend can be rude to them and as a result they quarrel, when she tells me about such quarrels I can’t take her side because I don’t approve her behaviour, that’s why I prefer to keep silence in such situations. Sometimes her flippant attitude to some things worries me very much. In my opinion she is too flippant in her attitude to preventive words of others. But I believe that all these things can’t destroy our friendship, though they influence it a bit.
And of course in some cases our points of view can differ, for example, sometimes our opinions can be different in clothes, music or films. In such situations we freely express our points of view, we can even argue but we never suppress each other. To my mind thoughts, opinions and habits of your friend can influence you a lot, but they should not destroy your own personality, they shouldn’t influence you if you don’t want it. I’m happy that both of us understand it.
I believe that friendship should be sincere and. In my opinion your friend should be attentive to you, he or she should be reliable, honest and he or she should trust you, because, I think, trust probably the most important feeling that exists between friends, but it never appears by itself, it is the result of a long friendship.
As for our friendship, I’m sure it is strong enough because we trust each other as ourselves, we always share the same joys and troubles together and we support each other at difficult times. And it goes without saying that I like Natasha with all her positive and negative features of character and admire her a lot.
I have a very close friend. Her name is Maria. We studied at school together. However, at that time we were not such close friends as we are now. After leaving school Maria entered one of Moscow Universities. Surprisingly, but soon after that we started talking to each other more often. Little by little this relationship grew into a strong friendship. We still live in different cities. Nevertheless, the distance which separates us does not prevent us from being true friends. I think this situation proves that true friendship can be ruined neither by time nor by distance.
We see each other when we have such an opportunity. We meet when we come for holidays to our hometown. There is always something for us to talk about. We both like going to the same places. I love these rare meetings. For me time spent with my friend is never wasted. She is a very positive person, an optimist who never gives up. I always rejoice over her success and achievements.
After these get-togethers I feel a sense of easiness, joy and happiness. I think these are the right feelings one should experience after meeting with close friends.
I believe that every person needs to have such a close friend. True friends give comfort when we are feeling low. They also are by our side during moments of happiness. I think he is really nice-looking with thick dark hair, blue eyes and an attractive smile. What is more important for me, of course, is his personality, his intellect and attitude to many things.
He is a true and faithful friend who has never betrayed or let me down. I can fully rely on him and trust him completely. One of the most attractive features of his character is honesty. He has a wonderful sense of humour and it’s always fun to be in his company.
He is a first-year student of the Belarusian State University. His studies law which is his real passion. I am sure he’ll make a good lawyer as he is hard-working, self-organized, determined and has a great sense of responsibility. He is sociable, well-informed and well-read, besides he is fond of sports and music.
He Jives in the same block of flats as I do, so we spend quite a good deal of time together. We share every secret and understand each other so well that as they say we «finish each other’s sentences». Of course, we may disagree on some points and our tastes in films, books and music are sometimes different, but we never quarrel. He is tolerant and never presses his opinion and views on others. He is a good listener and always lets his opponent speak his mind.
Surely he is not an angel and has his drawbacks. He is stubborn and hot-tempered at times, but this doesn’t spoil our relations in the least.
I am proud of having such a friend and I’ll try to keep up our friendship as long as I can.

We all need friends. Yet even in the highly populated areas, loneliness is still a sad feature of the lives of many. Friends play an important role in our life and although we may take the fact of friendship for granted, we often don’t clearly understand how friendships are formed. Every day we mix with hundreds of people, get on well with some of them and make friends with only a few. Some people have lots of friends, others are very reluctant to make new friends. There are people who are very easy to get on with, and there are people whose friendships never last very long.
In my opinion a real friend is a person whom you trust and respect, who is «a friend in need» and who never lets you down. There are no rules of how to make friends. Usually friendship between people grows when they have common views and judgements on things and events, have common interests and ambitions. A real friend should treat me with understanding, sympathy and compassion, exactly the way he wants to be treated by me.
In general I have a very wide circle of friends, most of whom are girls. But only two or three of them are really dear to me and I hope I am to them too. My best friend is Victoria. We have known each other since we were first-formers. But our friendship really started when we got together at my friend’s place one day and talked about different things. I felt that she was a similar soul. We’ve been close friends since then.
Here I should say that Victoria is exceptionally pretty. She is about 180 cm tall with dark hair and blue eyes. She wears her hair long, sometimes she ties it in a knot. She has a straight nose and her pleasant smile makes her really attractive.
She is an energetic girl, good at sports, especially at volleyball and swimming. She is also fond of painting and some of her pictures are really good. She lives not far from my place, so we spend a lot of time together after school and on weekends.
She never speaks badly of other people and finds more positive than negative features in every person. I admire her for that.
I can’t say she is a top pupil in her class but she is capable, intelligent and well-read. She is good at science, while I’ve always been better at humanities. She is going to enter the physics department of the Moscow pedagogical university. I hope she will do well at the examinations and make a good student afterwards.
Of course, we quarrel from time to time and fight over small things, but we make up our quarrels in no time. We can’t stay angry with each other for more than a day.
She is a hot-tempered person and at times she tends to act a little impulsively. She easily loses self-control when things don’t go well or the way she wants them to go. This is the feature which I don’t find attractive, but I know that there are bad things even in the best of us and I have to put up with it. In general she has a charming personality, she is sociable, frank and honest.

They are love, faith, trust, patriotism, credit, industry, politeness and so on. It takes someone much time to finish this list. In my opinion, the friendship can also be added to the list of the spiritual values.

What is the friendship, actually? Maybe, it is a bit hard to answer this question because different people identify it in different ways. If to speak about its broad sense, one can identify it as personal unselfish relationships between people. These relationships are based on love, trust, affinity and common interests. Most people prefer to refer mutuality, trust and patience to the main characteristics of the friendship.

I think all people have friends. Some people have a lot of friends and some people have only one but a good friend. As for me, I belong to the second group. I have many friends but only three of them I can name my best friends. One of my best friends is a girl I have known since the childhood. I can share all my secrets with her. The second friend is my group mate at the university. We have much in common. For example, she and I have common interests in literature, music and films. Maybe, it sounds a bit strange but the third friend is my husband. I trust him with my life. We have the same interests, the same outlook on life.

I’m not a very sociable person. To my mind, it’s not obliged for people to have a lot of friends in order to be happy. It’s enough, as I think, to have one or two friends who are able to understand you and to support you in hard situations. So, there are few people whom I can call friends. We have much in common and we enjoy communicating with each other.
One of my friends is Natalie. She is eighteen. I can say that she is beautiful and smart girl. She left school 2 years ago and now she is a second year student of the University. Natalie wants to be a journalist. She studies well because she is greatly interested in her future profession. Natalie is a hardworking girl too. I admire this feature of her character because I don’t have it.
Natalie does not have much free time but if she has, she likes to spend it in a good company, consisting of her school friends. When we gather together we like to listen to music, both classical and modern one, to watch new films and discuss them. I enjoy talking to her a lot because she knows many interesting facts about famous people, history. Her favorite subject at school were history and literature. She is fond of reading. Books have become part and parcel of her life.
We trust each other so much that we have some personal secrets which are not revealed to the others. I can tell her about my troubles and I am sure that Natalie would help me and give me a piece of good advice.
Natalie is an intelligent person. She has a deep and genuine interest in people. I’m happy to have such a good friend as Natalie.

Andrey has short, light hair and grey eyes. He is quite short and rather thin. He always manages to be cheerful, energetic, full of life and energy. He is helpful and honest. Andrey is very popular. A real friend accepts you as such, even if your character is terrible. As for me, my character is not ideal and my mood is often changeable. But my best friends don’t pay attention on this. So let me introduce my best friends to you. They are Kate and Dima. Kate is my classmate. She is 12 years old. I think Kate is a very creative and talented girl. She draws wonderfully. And she presented me some of her paintings. We have much in common with my best friend Kate: we are both fond of doing sports, reading romantic stories and dancing. We like the same music as well. When we are together we are not bored. My best friend Dima is 1 year older than me. He lives next door, so we spend a lot of time together. Dima likes playing football. Sometimes I attend competitions in which he takes part. And I can say that he is not only my best friend, he is the best footballer. I am proud of him. My best friends are my helpmeet. I believe that our frienship will never end.

What is the friendship? I suppose it’s a quite complicated term. Friendship is not only the number of people who you communicate with every day but it’s a deep feeling of support and understanding that you receive from them. Furthermore, you can’t make friends in one day. Friendship comes with the years you have spent together, experiences you’ve had together and the troubles you’ve got into and sorted out together.
I’m absolutely convinced that nobody can have a lot of friends. People can have a lot of classmates, colleagues or acquaintances but not friends. As for me I just have two people in my life that I can call real close friends. Their names are Kate and Ann and they are of the same age as me. We have known each other for ages and I can say we have been friends as long as I remember myself. All of us really have a lot in common. We are keen on the same music, the same clothes and we are even in love with the same boys.
In spite of that, we also have quarrels as all other friends. We can’t agree about some trivial things from time to time. Nevertheless, we can’t be in a quarrel for a long time and finally, we understand that nothing is more important than our friendship.
We adore spending time together. It doesn’t matter what we do, listen to music, surf the internet, go shopping or have a meal in a cafe, the time together always means a plenty of fun. Friendship is a special relationship between people. People need this relationship because they expect help and comfort from each other. Those who have friends have less stress and live longer. Friendship is usually based on common interests and mutual understanding, true encouragement and sympathy.
They say “Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’s a million little things” and I agree. To me it means that friendship isn’t always about one big gesture of help. Instead, true friendship is about millions of ongoing little actions you do day in and day out, that show how much you care about and value your friend.
They say: “A person has just one true friend”. I think it’s possible to have more than one true friend. It’s hard to find a person who will share your whole life. People can change and their interests change, that’s why we can have more than one true friend during the life.
Muhammad Ali once said: “If you haven’t learnt the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learnt anything”. Не meant that friendship is in some aspects more important than anything that you learn at school. He meant that nothing that you know matters if you do not understand friendship.
What rolе do friends play in your life? You can have a lot of acquaintances, they come and go, but a true friend is always there when you need a shoulder to cry on. Having a good friend can usually brighten a bad day and make you smile because that is what friends are for. If you feel depressed your friend will hang out with you to amuse you, to cheer you up and have a laugh with you. A good friend will not take offence at you if you disagree with him.
I have no friends among adults apart from my parents. I think that it’s easier to make friends among your peers. My best friend is of the same age with me.
I have a wide circle of friends who are on the same wavelength. I get on well with them because I respect their differences. It is fun to be with them all, but my special friend is _________. I met him/her when I mixed with my friends once after school. We’ve become inseparable since our first meeting. I really like him/her and we get on well. People usually become friends when they have much in common, when they have much to tell each other, when they trust each other and rely on each other. So, if you want to get acquainted with someone and understand if this person can become your friend, you may ask the following questions:
What music do you like? / What books do you read? / What TV programs do you prefer?
What’s your hobby?
What personal qualities do you appreciate in people?
If you want to understand if people are close friends, you can ask the same questions and compare the answers. Close friends will have similar answers.
I think it’s a bit easier to make friends when you 6-10 years, because children of this age are more outgoing and sociable. But I guess making friends doesn’t really depend on how old you are. If a person is friendly, it won’t be hard for him to get to know someone.
Making friends is not easy for some people and in some situations. These situations may be different – moving to a new school, moving to a new place, bullying at school, etc. Many teenagers are nervous about starting a conversation, because possible neglecting frightens them. To ease the tension, I’d advise not to be afraid of new people and not to think that all people around you must like you. If they don’t – it’s normal. You are simply different kinds of people. Try to find a group of your kind and make friends with them.
Nowadays teenagers have many virtual friends in contact or Facebook. I can’t name those friends real ones. Friends in social networks can have much in common, but virtual friendship can’t replace real communication when you spend time together.
Nowadays people prefer to have more money than many friends. They say that a person with money can afford everything and can solve any problem. I am sure that money can’t buy you real friends. And there are really such situations when you need friends and their emotional support more than money. That’s why I prefer to have both money and real friends.

Заводить друзей не просто для некоторых людей и в некоторых ситуациях. Эти ситуации могут быть разными – переезд в новую школу, переезд на новое место, издевательства в школе и др. Многие подростки озабочены тем, как начать разговор, ведь возможное пренебрежение их персоной пугает. Чтобы снять напряженность, я бы посоветовал не бояться новых людей и не думать, что все люди вокруг должны непременно вас полюбить. Если вы кому-то не нравитесь – это нормально. Вы просто разные люди. Попробуйте найти группу по интересам и подружиться.
В настоящее время подростки имеют много виртуальных друзей в вконтакте или Facebook. Я не могу назвать таких друзей настоящими. Друзья в социальных сетях могут иметь много общего, но виртуальная дружба не может заменить реального общения и совместного времяпрепровождения.
В настоящее время люди предпочитают иметь много денег, а не друзей. Говорят, что человек с деньгами может позволить себе все и может решить любую проблему. Я уверен, что за деньги нельзя купить настоящих друзей. И действительно, существуют такие ситуации, когда вам больше нужны друзья и их эмоциональная поддержка, а не деньги. Вот почему я предпочитаю иметь и то и другое)))).

Friendship is a special kind of relationships between people. People need it because they expect help and comfort from each other. Those who have friends have less stress and live longer. Friendship is usually based on common interests and mutual understanding, true encouragement and sympathy. Usually people meet, get acquainted, communicate and as a result become friends. But, only time can show, whether the friendship is strong or not.
The most important feeling that exists between friends is trust. It never appears from nowhere, it’s a result of communication, support in difficult situations, long-lasting friendship. Respect is also very important. It means that you don’t criticize your friend’s lifestyle, you always try to understand him, discuss problems with him and explain to him your feelings and emotions. Never forget to discuss important issues with your best friend or friends, because reservations can lead into the end of friendship.
I have many good friends, but two of them are the best. Their names are Annie and Natalie. They make my life brighter and more interesting. When I’m bored, I can always call my them and ask to come over and have a party. Once a month we go to the cinema or to the theatre, we call it “trinity time”. I consider them to be a part of my family. We’ve known each other for more than 20 years. I fully trust them and I know that they would do anything for me. We are always caring and attentive to each other. I know that it’s not easy to find a real friendship. I have met lots of fake friends as well. So, now I try to appreciate the relations that I have with my true ones.

Самое важное чувство, которое существует между друзьями — это доверие. Оно не появляется из ниоткуда, это результат общения, поддержки в трудных ситуациях, долговременной дружбы. Уважение также очень важно. Это означает, что вы не критикуете образ жизни своего друга, вы всегда пытаетесь его понять, обсуждаете с ним проблемы и объясняете ему свои чувства и эмоции. Никогда не забывайте обсуждать важные вопросы с вашим лучшим другом или друзьями, потому что недомолвки могут привести к концу дружбы.

I met my friend Andrew in kindergarten. Even though we were in different groups, we often played together during walks outdoors. He always shared his toys with me, and so did I. It turned out that we lived near each other. After kindergarten we went to study at the same school.

We have a great deal in common, we listen almost to the same music and we regularly play table tennis after school. Andrew is a sociable, kind and modest person. Sometimes he is witty, but his jokes are never wicked. We always find interesting topics to discuss. Very often we visit each other at home. We always can help each other with homework, and we usually play computer and video games together.

I can safely say that Andrew is my best friend. He has an amazing sense of humor and he can easily make me laugh even when I have a bad day. He is as good as his word. Andrew is also good at keeping secrets. I like that he is a reliable person and he always supports me. We try to help each other. Of course we sometimes can argue or quarrel, but not for too long. We try to forgive each other.

When we have some free time, we go for walks, read and discuss books, watch films, go to discos or play computer games. Playing computer games is our hobby. Both of us are fond of sport. We go in for swimming (tennis) and often go to the swimming pool (tennis court) together. We are football fans and we like to watch and discuss football matches on TV or to go to the stadium. I love my friend very much. I think he (she) is a true friend. Our friendship is very dear to me and I try to do my best to be a good friend too.

My Best Friend
I have a lot of friends. Most of them are classmates. My best friend called Alex. He is fourteen. He lives with his parents not far from the school.
Alex has a lot of hobbies: he likes to play the computer, to read detective stories, to collect butterflies. He likes animals, espesially cats. He has got a cat Lastik at home.
Alex has short, light hair and grey eyes. He is quite short and rather thin. He always manages to be cheerful, energetic, full of life and energy. He is helpful and honest.
Alex is very popular. Hе is a helpful person and every time he tries to do her best to help somebody when he has problems.
Alex is very attentive to his parents. Of course, he has some drawbacks — sometimes she is a hurly-burly boy, a bit stubborn. But still like him as she has a good sense of humour and pleasant to deal with.
We spend much time together — watch video or listen to the music, walk or go to the cafe discussing all sorts of things. Our friendship helps me feel strong and sure of myself.

Friends come and go throughout our life, and each friendship is a one-of-a-kind relationship. Some friends are a joy to be with while others may bore us to death. So, today I’d like to tell you about one of the most important people in my life. Her name is Nat. She is a tall, good looking, young woman who has a really strong opinion on just about everything. We have known each other for almost 22 years. When we were schoolgirls, we lived in the same house, went to the same school and spent a lot of time together. Sometimes people thought we were sisters or cousins because we behaved the same way. But we are really different in appearance and character.
Nat is an easy going person who likes to communicate and spend time with people. She makes friends easily. Nataly loves travelling, and she has found a great partner for such a hobby. It’s her husband. His name is Alex. They spent a lot of time traveling around our country and looking for interesting and unusual places. But after giving birth to her daughter Alice, they stay at home more often. Nat has become a housewife, and nowadays she takes care of her family. She lives in another city, but I can always call her whenever I want to and chat about everything and nothing.
I’m really glad that I have such a nice person in my life that supports me. She makes my life a little bit crazy, but without her it would be boring.

According to the dictionary friendship is a feeling and behaviour that exist between people, but what these feelings are and what this behaviour is everyone should decide for himself. I consider that friendship is a gift from the God. that’s why I highly appreciate it. I think it is hard to find a close friend because people are unique creatures of nature, all of them have their own habits, opinions and judgments which differ from others.
It makes sense to say that friendship can be compared to a tree. Its seed should find good soil and under favourable conditions it will grow into a tree. As the years go by the tree stands firmer and firmer on the ground and if it is strong enough it will survive all the storms and winds, but to help it we should take care of it and love it.
In my opinion lucky are the people who have real friends. As for me I’m happy to have lots of friends, some of them are close, some are less, but all of them make my life interesting and enjoyable and I can’t imagine my life without them, because friendship means very much for me. Being friends means making allowances for the other person’s faults, being tolerant to each other moods. The most important thing about friends for me is being able to share secrets, to tell each other your problems and share your worries, to help each other out.
As I’ve said before a real friend is the gift from the God. In my opinion an ideal friend should posses such qualities as honesty, sincerity, faith, tolerance and respect in attitude to you. A friend is a person who can help you in no time, lend you a hand, whom you can wake up in the middle of the night just to say you feel worried or who is eager to do everything for you waiting nothing in return, who supports you in all your beginnings and who will never betray you. To my mind really close and devoted friend can be not only the same sex as you. It doesn’t matter your best friend is a girl or a boy. I think that her or his soul, character and attitude to you are considerably more important. I disagree with people who say that boys are better friends than girls. Such people think that a boy-friend can never spread false stories about you or tell your secrets to the entire world, but to my mind it depends on his moral qualities. I knew one boy who began to spread stories about me, saying I was dishonest, unreliable and impudent, when we broke our relations, but I still actually believe in friendship between fellows and girls, that’s why I have equal amount of boys and girls among my close friends.
But in my opinion it isn’t an easy thing to be a true friend and before somebody can name you his best friend you should prove your friendship. To my mind everyone can have only one or two true friends, because a friend to all is a friend to none. I believe that faithful friend can brighten your life and make it more interesting, vivid and enjoyable. You are interested in your friend with all his positive and negative traits of personality and your friend in his turn can understand and forgive you everything. You shouldn’t tell a lie to your friend, there mustn’t be hypocrisy in your speech and even in thoughts. Before telling your friend something, before doing anything you should think a lot and guess what kind influence it will render on him and on his life. So I think that it is difficult to be a real friend, but to my mind all of us try to achieve the ideal of a true friend.
I’m sure you will agree that nowadays there are various ways of acquaintance. Some people make friends when they are in guests or on weddings, others prefer to find friends with the help of newspapers or the Internet. Somebody can get acquainted with his future friend when he even doesn’t expect it, for example, when he simply walks in a park or goes anywhere by public transport.
What about me I have known my best friend Natasha almost all my life, but 1 can never forget our first meeting. It was in summer when our families decided to rest in the south together. When we drove up to their house my attention was attracted by a little tidy girl in a rose dress, who was sitting to squat and playing with her long blond curl, but I can’t say that my first impressions were the same as my opinion about her now, because meeting people for the first time we always make a judgment based on their appearance though the proverb tells us not to make such a mistake. At first she seemed to me so correct, obedient and shy that I didn’t like her, but when we began to communicate closer I understood I was mistaken. I think it makes sense to say that when we returned home we were loyal friends.
Today she has changed a lot but we are still best friends and now I think Natasha is a very charming and pretty seventeen-year-old girl. She isn’t tall and I can’t even say that she is of average height but she is always smart and elegant. Natasha has an attractive face which is broaden with open and frank features. She is the owner of a blunt nose, large expressive green eyes and radiant smile that immediately makes people smile in return. Her blond hair and sort voice make her similar to a little beautiful princess from a fairy-tale.
My friend likes casual clothes. Natasha hates skirts and formal blouses, but adores tight-fitting trousers and casual T-shirts. She prefers low-heeled shoes to high-heeled, because they are more comfortable to her mind.
I believe that Natasha is a very amazing girl, because she differs from other people. When she was about twelve she became a real tomboy, she communicated only with boys except me, she liked to play rough and boys’ games and she even decided to go to the army when she would come of age. All her friends and relatives tried to dissuade her and at least she agreed, but frankly speaking. I can’t understand her desire even now, though in general we are very alike. It’s true that Natasha is a very enthusiastic and active person, you can hardly find her sitting at one place without doing anything but in spite of it she constantly has no free time. My friend is a gregarious person and an optimist; she is never bored but always smiles and laughs, that is why I like her fascinating smile very much. I should say I can never be bored it my friend keeps company for me, because she is so cheerful and joyous. She is responsible and original, I think. Such friends like she can be characterized as devoted. frank and careful, because she can never refuse if I need support or a piece of advice, she is always eager to help me and to calm me with the help of a tender word. To my mind Natasha is an intelligent, skillful and diligent girl, that’s why her success in study is brilliant. Now she studies at gymnasium number 56 in physics-mathematics class. I’d like to add that she is a great daydreamer, because she has always got her head in the clouds and she is always dreaming about something.
But like other people she isn’t an ideal. Sometimes she is too lazy and stubborn and I dislike it a bit. She is rather impatient, because she can’t wait for long. But these features of her character don’t matter much for me; I try not to pay attention to them because in general she is a wonderful person, whom I worship a lot.
Though Natasha is a busy girl and she doesn’t have much free time, she always tries to find spare time for her hobbies and interests, because she has a lot of them. Most of all she likes to play computer games and solve various problems on it. She says she can’t imagine her life without this machine. When Natasha relaxes she likes to look through different interesting magazines and newspapers but she doesn’t like to read books, especially large books like “War and Piece” by Tolstoy. Sometimes she can write poems about love. It happens rarely but I’m always the first person who reads her poems and gives an objective mark. Natasha is fond of sport but this year she has very little time for it, because she is very busy with her studying, because she enters the university this year.
And unfortunately that is the main reason why we see each other quite rarely, but we phone each other almost every day, we try to meet on our days off and that’s why we don’t feel separation from each other. Though I can’t see Natasha every day I think about her all the time.
At these rare times when we see each other we like to attend cinema or central park, but most of all we like to speak. When we meet our mouths are never close because we can speak for hours, I can discuss with my best friend such problems that I can’t discuss with my parents. We speak about fellows and our relations with them, we discuss our problems with parents and share our thoughts and dreams. It doesn’t mean that I can’t say about all these things to my mother, but I know that nobody can understand me better than Natasha. I know that only she can support me and help me in everything, because we are very alike, we think in the same way and our points of view often coincide, but in spite of it I can’t say that nothing worries me in our relationships, though also I can’t say there are some real problems or misunderstandings between us. We see each other rather rarely, because we live in different districts and she is too busy even on days off and I dislike it a lot. I consider she is a bit disorderly and she can’t plan her day off in a right way, that’s why she doesn’t manage to do everything she wants. Natasha often has troubles and problems with her parents and it is another thing that worries me. I know her parents very well and to my mind they are wonderful people, but sometimes my friend can be rude to them and as a result they quarrel, when she tells me about such quarrels I can’t take her side because I don’t approve her behaviour, that’s why I prefer to keep silence in such situations. Sometimes her flippant attitude to some things worries me very much. In my opinion she is too flippant in her attitude to preventive words of others. But I believe that all these things can’t destroy our friendship, though they influence it a bit.
And of course in some cases our points of view can differ, for example, sometimes our opinions can be different in clothes, music or films. In such situations we freely express our points of view, we can even argue but we never suppress each other. To my mind thoughts, opinions and habits of your friend can influence you a lot, but they should not destroy your own personality, they shouldn’t influence you if you don’t want it. I’m happy that both of us understand it.
I believe that friendship should be sincere and. In my opinion your friend should be attentive to you, he or she should be reliable, honest and he or she should trust you, because, I think, trust probably the most important feeling that exists between friends, but it never appears by itself, it is the result of a long friendship.
As for our friendship, I’m sure it is strong enough because we trust each other as ourselves, we always share the same joys and troubles together and we support each other at difficult times. And it goes without saying that I like Natasha with all her positive and negative features of character and admire her a lot.
I have a very close friend. Her name is Maria. We studied at school together. However, at that time we were not such close friends as we are now. After leaving school Maria entered one of Moscow Universities. Surprisingly, but soon after that we started talking to each other more often. Little by little this relationship grew into a strong friendship. We still live in different cities. Nevertheless, the distance which separates us does not prevent us from being true friends. I think this situation proves that true friendship can be ruined neither by time nor by distance.
We see each other when we have such an opportunity. We meet when we come for holidays to our hometown. There is always something for us to talk about. We both like going to the same places. I love these rare meetings. For me time spent with my friend is never wasted. She is a very positive person, an optimist who never gives up. I always rejoice over her success and achievements.
After these get-togethers I feel a sense of easiness, joy and happiness. I think these are the right feelings one should experience after meeting with close friends.
I believe that every person needs to have such a close friend. True friends give comfort when we are feeling low. They also are by our side during moments of happiness. Friends are happy when you are happy. They are not envious of your success. They support, help and stay with you all the way. I am very lucky to have such a friend.

Мне нравится, когда Маша приходит ко мне в гости. Это то время, когда мы не замолкаем. Также у нас много общих друзей. Иногда мы проводим время в большой компании. Она моя единственная подруга, поддержка которой для меня важна. Я так рада, что мне довелось испытать настоящую дружбу.
Дружба – сложное понятие. Каждый понимает ее по-своему. Тем не менее, я думаю, что дружба не бывает без доверия и общих интересов. Некоторые люди находят друзей достаточно легко. Другие более замкнуты, и им требуется больше времени, чтобы познакомиться с кем-то.
Дружба не длится вечно. Иногда жизненный путь меняется, и мы теряем наших друзей. Иногда люди могут быть преданы своими друзьями. Очень жаль, что некоторые люди используют дружбу в достижении своих корыстных целей.
Мне кажется, что большинство из нас сталкивались с разными аспектами человеческих отношений. Жизнь преподносит нам самые разные уроки. Но эти отрицательные моменты помогают нам осознавать, что же такое настоящая дружба и как важно ценить наших лучших друзей.
I think he is really nice-looking with thick dark hair, blue eyes and an attractive smile. What is more important for me, of course, is his personality, his intellect and attitude to many things.
He is a true and faithful friend who has never betrayed or let me down. I can fully rely on him and trust him completely. One of the most attractive features of his character is honesty. He has a wonderful sense of humour and it’s always fun to be in his company.
He is a first-year student of the Belarusian State University. His studies law which is his real passion. I am sure he’ll make a good lawyer as he is hard-working, self-organized, determined and has a great sense of responsibility. He is sociable, well-informed and well-read, besides he is fond of sports and music.
He Jives in the same block of flats as I do, so we spend quite a good deal of time together. We share every secret and understand each other so well that as they say we «finish each other’s sentences». Of course, we may disagree on some points and our tastes in films, books and music are sometimes different, but we never quarrel. He is tolerant and never presses his opinion and views on others. He is a good listener and always lets his opponent speak his mind.
Surely he is not an angel and has his drawbacks. He is stubborn and hot-tempered at times, but this doesn’t spoil our relations in the least.
I am proud of having such a friend and I’ll try to keep up our friendship as long as I can.

We all need friends. Yet even in the highly populated areas, loneliness is still a sad feature of the lives of many. Friends play an important role in our life and although we may take the fact of friendship for granted, we often don’t clearly understand how friendships are formed. Every day we mix with hundreds of people, get on well with some of them and make friends with only a few. Some people have lots of friends, others are very reluctant to make new friends. There are people who are very easy to get on with, and there are people whose friendships never last very long.
In my opinion a real friend is a person whom you trust and respect, who is «a friend in need» and who never lets you down. There are no rules of how to make friends. Usually friendship between people grows when they have common views and judgements on things and events, have common interests and ambitions. A real friend should treat me with understanding, sympathy and compassion, exactly the way he wants to be treated by me.
In general I have a very wide circle of friends, most of whom are girls. But only two or three of them are really dear to me and I hope I am to them too. My best friend is Victoria. We have known each other since we were first-formers. But our friendship really started when we got together at my friend’s place one day and talked about different things. I felt that she was a similar soul. We’ve been close friends since then.
Here I should say that Victoria is exceptionally pretty. She is about 180 cm tall with dark hair and blue eyes. She wears her hair long, sometimes she ties it in a knot. She has a straight nose and her pleasant smile makes her really attractive.
She is an energetic girl, good at sports, especially at volleyball and swimming. She is also fond of painting and some of her pictures are really good. She lives not far from my place, so we spend a lot of time together after school and on weekends.
She never speaks badly of other people and finds more positive than negative features in every person. I admire her for that.
I can’t say she is a top pupil in her class but she is capable, intelligent and well-read. She is good at science, while I’ve always been better at humanities. She is going to enter the physics department of the Moscow pedagogical university. I hope she will do well at the examinations and make a good student afterwards.
Of course, we quarrel from time to time and fight over small things, but we make up our quarrels in no time. We can’t stay angry with each other for more than a day.
She is a hot-tempered person and at times she tends to act a little impulsively. She easily loses self-control when things don’t go well or the way she wants them to go. This is the feature which I don’t find attractive, but I know that there are bad things even in the best of us and I have to put up with it. In general she has a charming personality, she is sociable, frank and honest.
She is reliable and never lets you down. I can trust her as much as I do myself. She never fails to help or share your sorrows. These are the qualities I like about her most of all.

Throughout the history of the mankind people have always been trying to maintain the spiritual values. What are the spiritual values? They are love, faith, trust, patriotism, credit, industry, politeness and so on. It takes someone much time to finish this list. In my opinion, the friendship can also be added to the list of the spiritual values.
На протяжении всей истории человечества люди всегда старались сохранять духовные ценности. Что можно отнести к духовным ценностям? Любовь, веру, верность, патриотизм, доверие, трудолюбие, вежливость и так далее. Для завершения этого списка требуется много времени. На мой взгляд, дружба также может быть добавлена в список духовных ценностей.
What is the friendship, actually? Maybe, it is a bit hard to answer this question because different people identify it in different ways. If to speak about its broad sense, one can identify it as personal unselfish relationships between people. These relationships are based on love, trust, affinity and common interests. Most people prefer to refer mutuality, trust and patience to the main characteristics of the friendship.
Что такое дружба? Может быть, немного сложно ответить на этот вопрос, потому что разные люди определяют ее по-разному. Если говорить о широком смысле, можно определить дружбу как личные бескорыстные отношения между людьми. Эти отношения основаны на любви, доверии, симпатии и общих интересах. I think all people have friends. Some people have a lot of friends and some people have only one but a good friend. As for me, I belong to the second group. I have many friends but only three of them I can name my best friends. One of my best friends is a girl I have known since the childhood. I can share all my secrets with her. The second friend is my group mate at the university. We have much in common. For example, she and I have common interests in literature, music and films. Maybe, it sounds a bit strange but the third friend is my husband. I trust him with my life. We have the same interests, the same outlook on life.

Friendship is the important part of the life. It is hard to imagine the life without friends.

Настоящая дружба
По моему мнению, настоящий друг – этот тот человек, который остается с тобой, что бы ни случилось. Друзья никогда не врут. Они держат данные тебе обещания. Настоящие друзья дают тебе возможность уважать себя, чувствовать привязанность и отлично проводить время вместе. Если ты в отчаянии, они дают надежду. С ними чувствуешь себя полезным. Друзья нужны даже абсолютно счастливым людям. Нужно помнить, что настоящая дружба на всю жизнь. Но как говорится, «друзья познаются в беде», поэтому именно когда тебе плохо и тебе нужна поддержка, ты можешь понять, кто твой настоящий друг. Почему? Да потому что истинный друг не оставит тебя, когда тебе плохо, и не будет завидовать твоим успехам.
Близкие друзья
Часто случается, что встречая человека, мы сразу же проникаемся к нему симпатией. Я счастлив, что мне удалось обрести близких друзей в школьные годы. Мы встретились в первый школьный день и с тех пор мы вместе. Мы знаем друг друга уже много лет. Мы провели вместе много времени, мы гуляли, ходили на концерты, обсуждали планы на будущее, и это укрепило нашу дружбу. Наши лучшие детские воспоминания связаны друг с другом. У нас схожие интересы и много общего. Когда мы делаем что-то вместе, это проще простого. Если мы когда-либо делаем что-то нехорошее друг другу, причиняем боль или подводим, мы стараемся загладить свою вину. Жаль, что после окончания школы наши пути разойдутся, но я все же надеюсь, что мои друзья всегда будут со мной, и мы не потеряем друг друга.
