People of all ages look for summer every year. It is a rest from work, the joy of sunny days after cold winter and rainy spring, a chance to travel or relax in nature. As for me, I always liked summer because of the possibility to stay with family and friends, to read my favorite books, and just to think about something important.

These summer holidays were the last: I will graduate from school this year. It is necessary to choose a profession and the university to enter. Therefore, I dedicated much time to thoughts about this serious decision.

Of course, I did not forget about the rest as well. For example, I spent a few days on the lake near our town with my cousin and two friends. We fished, collect mushrooms in a small forest, and talked about our future. Later, we met twice to play basketball on the sports ground, according to our tradition.

I practiced French every day, watched several French films, and enrolled in additional language courses.

Summer is coming and I’m looking forward to it. It’s my favourite season, of course, because the weather is great and you don’t have to go to school. After a long and difficult school year you get really tired of studies, so I’m going to enjoy my summer holidays and have much fun. I hope they will be as exciting as my last summer holidays were. I already have a lot of plans for them.
I would like to spend the first summer month in the country, at my grandparents’. My friends and cousins will be waiting for me there. I miss them so much. We shall go fishing, sunbathing, swimming, horse-riding and playing football. And I’m going to help my grandparents about the garden. So I will be outdoors all the time.
I can’t wait for July because our family will travel to the seaside. We shall stay in a rented house for 2 weeks. I really enjoy the clean air and the beautiful scenery with beaches and mountains near the warm sea. I am going to swim and dive a lot. And I want to try the national cuisine, rich in fruit, vegetables and fish.
As for August, I would like to stay in the city and spend the time with my friends walking around, going to the cinema and cafes, playing computer games. My dream is to sleep as much as I like and to do what I like. I will ride my bike, go skateboarding or roller-skating in the park.
I hope that the summer of 2016 will be the best summer in my life and I will start my new school year happy, suntanned and refreshed!

I have a good summer holidays this year. And now I want to tell you about my rest time during my summer. The school year is over and I can do that I want. But my parents decide to send me to the summer camp. At the beginning I was angry, but my adventures were waiting me in the future.
I went to the summer camp. At the beginning I didn’t feel myself well. But in the second day I got acquainted with a good boy. We are speaking a lot of time about everything in the world. We spoke about dolphins. He told me how he visited a water park with his parents. At that time he could communicate with the dolphins.
In this summer camp I took part in the swimming competitions. Our team took the first place and we were much enjoyed. My trainer said me that I was the best sportsman in our team. As for me I think when I’ll come back home I’ll go to our local sport club. I hope I shall be the best sportsman there. My friends were the best in the football, volleyball, basketball. I was out-living for my friends, when they took part in chess competitions.
We had very much interesting events in the summer camp. I was in many interesting concerts. We listened rising stars. It was so wonderful. Also I went on the dance club. I danced with the best girl in the camp. All bays wanted to meet with her, but she looked only on me. It’s so beautiful, and I was so happy. She was the best girl in our camp.
We had many interesting times. We were drawing, swimming, took part in the sports competitions, watching interesting concerts. It was the best time in my life. What I was stupid, when I was angry on my parents in the beginning of the summer.
When I came back home from the summer camp, I asked forgiveness at my parents. I thankful them for my summer holidays. Now I can tell my classmates about the best summer holidays.

How I Spent My Weekend

I really love weekends. These are the days when I do not have to go to school and have an opportunity to sleep longer and do everything I want. Normally at the weekends, I tend to spend time with my family or friends. Very often my parents and I go to the countryside. We have a small house not far from Moscow. So these weekends were no exception. The weather was really brilliant. It was warm and sunny.

On Saturday I went for a walk with my friends there. We rode a bike and played various games outside. In the evening I had a dinner with my family. It was really delicious. My father made grilled meat, while my mother cooked some salads and baked my favorite cake. It is one of the numerous traditions of our family. Practically every Saturday we tend to have a dinner together and talk about everything. On Sunday it was really hot, so I swam in a lake with my friends. Then we played badminton and beach volleyball. It was fun! I really enjoy spending time in the countryside. I have many friends there, so I never get bored.

My weekends were really eventful and I had an opportunity to have a rest from a tough working week. Sunday evening I did my homework and went to bed early, so as not to be late for school. I am looking forward to the next weekend!

I always look forward to my summer holidays. In my opinion, there’s nothing like the Russian countryside. We’ve got a small country house in a very picturesque place not far from Zagorsk. There’s a river and a lake there. My friends and I often go swimming and boating there. I’m also fond of lying in the sun.
There’s a lot of fish in the lake, so I sometimes go fishing. I like to sit in silence for a while waiting for a fish to get caught and listening to the birds singing in the trees. When I happen to catch a fish I set it free at once, because I do fishing just for pleasure.
When it’s very hot I usually go to the forest. The air is cool there. I like to walk in the shade of the trees and pick mushrooms and berries. I’ve got a dog called Jack. He becomes so happy when I take him with me to the forest.
Jack likes to run after butterflies or dragonflies. I sometimes play with him. I throw a stick and he brings it back to me.
But last summer my parents decided to go to some other place for a change. They made up their minds to go to the Crimea. I think it was the greatest mistake they had ever made. This, in a nutshell, is what happened.
To begin with, it was very difficult to find a place to stay. We rented a room in a house a long way from the sea. It was the only place we managed to get. It took us about half an hour to get to the beach. But it didn’t matter, as it turned out a few days later. Suddenly our happy sunny days were over. It started to rain. It occasionally cleared up for a while but then the rain went on again. All we could do was to spend all our time in the cinema or in a cafe. It was impossible to leave because we had made reservations beforehand and we had to spend another week there. I had never seen so many films in my life. By the end of the week I got very tired of the cinema and I could only lie on the bed reading books or staring at the ceiling.
At last the happy day of our departure came. You can’t imagine how astonished we were. The sun began to shine early in the morning. It seemed to me that it was laughing at us.
After that holiday we decided to spend every summer in the country.
After each term in school we had our holidays. It’s fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.
Most of all I liked summer holidays, they were the longest ones, though, when winter was snowy and and frosty, I enjoyed my winter holidays skating and skiing, sledging and making a snowman or having a fight with snowballs.
I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi. It was just three years ago. My parents and me were sitting in the living-room discussing our plans for the summer holidays. My father suggested that we should go to Sochi. On hearing that I jumped up with joy and said it was a wonderful idea. My mother wasn’t against the idea either. So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi.
First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice.
My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm. The weather was fine. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvellous town of Sochi.

How did I spend my summer holidays? It was great! I suppose that summer is the happiest period of our childhood, because we always need a good rest after working hard at school during a year.
I did nothing in June and July, just got some sun baths. It was amazing to hear your own thoughts instead of yammer of classmates and to relax without them. Frankly speaking, it was a little bit boring because my parents worked a lot and I was absolutely alone all the time in our big flat. But I was glad because I had time for myself at last. I was reading books, watcing films, series, listening to music, and visiting my best friend Susan. I spent most days outdoors and got a perfect suntan. Sometimes I invited my friends to play computer games, watch TV or just go for a walk together.
In August, my parents finally took a two-week vacation and we decided to spend this time abroad. We went to Turkey and the journey was marvelous. All days and all nights we were swimming in the warm and beautiful sea, drinking cocktails, dancing with locals, and tasting some delicious and so sweet bonbons and candies. We lived in 4-star hotel in the heart of Istanbul. We went to Sapphire mall and took a 4D Sky Ride. Besides, we were flying in a helicopter all over Istanbul. That was a great opportunity to choose the places where travelers could go. The Hagia Sophia Mosque, the underground water storage area and the Top Kapi Palace were the most fascinating places of the city. I also found many new friends and got my first kiss there.
Probably, I’m really ready to go back to school, because my summer holidays increased my stamina and made me full of energy. Actually, I could have a rest after such an intensive rest, but I’m eager to meet my friends, classmates and teachers.
I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.

Море и солнце, то есть то, что мы с нетерпением ожидаем каждое лето. Гостиницы в крупных приморских городах довольно дороги, поэтому мы обычно (как правило) отправляемя в летний лагерь.
В прошлом году мы провели наши каникулы в таком лагере. Каждый день был полон небольших радостей. Мы плавали в море, лежали на солнце, играли в различные игры и приятно проводили время. Мы прожили там около месяца и даже не заметили, когда пришло время возвращаться домой. Время пролетело очень быстро. Это был замечательный отдых.

I really love weekends. These are the days when I do not have to go to school and have an opportunity to sleep longer and do everything I want. Normally at the weekends, I tend to spend time with my family or friends. Very often my parents and I go to the countryside. We have a small house not far from Moscow. So these weekends were no exception. The weather was really brilliant. It was warm and sunny.

Обычно по выходным я стараюсь проводить время со своей семьей или друзьями. Очень часто мы с родителями едем на дачу. У нас есть небольшой дом недалеко от Москвы. И эти выходные не были исключением. Погода была замечательной. Было тепло и солнечно.
On Saturday I went for a walk with my friends there. We rode a bike and played various games outside. In the evening I had a dinner with my family. It was really delicious. My father made grilled meat, while my mother cooked some salads and baked my favorite cake. It is one of the numerous traditions of our family. Practically every Saturday we tend to have a dinner together and talk about everything. On Sunday it was really hot, so I swam in a lake with my friends. Then we played badminton and beach volleyball. It was fun! I really enjoy spending time in the countryside. I have many friends there, so I never get bored.
В субботу я гуляла там со своими друзьями. Мы катались на велосипеде и играли в разные игры на улице. Вечером я ужинала со своей семьей. Ужин был очень вкусный. Мой отец сделал мясо на гриле, в то время как мама приготовила салаты и испекла мой любимый торт. Это одна из многочисленных традиций нашей семьи. Практически каждую субботу мы ужинаем вместе и говорим обо всем. В воскресенье было очень жарко, поэтому я плавала в озере со своими друзьями. Потом мы играли в бадминтон и пляжный волейбол. Это было весело! Мне очень нравится проводить время в деревне. У меня есть много друзей, поэтому мне никогда не бывает скучно.
My weekends were really eventful and I had an opportunity to have a rest from a tough working week. Sunday evening I did my homework and went to bed early, so as not to be late for school. I am looking forward to the next weekend!

I always look forward to my summer holidays. In my opinion, there’s nothing like the Russian countryside. We’ve got a small country house in a very picturesque place not far from Zagorsk. There’s a river and a lake there. My friends and I often go swimming and boating there. I’m also fond of lying in the sun.
There’s a lot of fish in the lake, so I sometimes go fishing. I like to sit in silence for a while waiting for a fish to get caught and listening to the birds singing in the trees. When I happen to catch a fish I set it free at once, because I do fishing just for pleasure.
When it’s very hot I usually go to the forest. The air is cool there. I like to walk in the shade of the trees and pick mushrooms and berries. I’ve got a dog called Jack. He becomes so happy when I take him with me to the forest.
Jack likes to run after butterflies or dragonflies. I sometimes play with him. I throw a stick and he brings it back to me.
But last summer my parents decided to go to some other place for a change. They made up their minds to go to the Crimea. I think it was the greatest mistake they had ever made. This, in a nutshell, is what happened.
To begin with, it was very difficult to find a place to stay. We rented a room in a house a long way from the sea. It was the only place we managed to get. It took us about half an hour to get to the beach. But it didn’t matter, as it turned out a few days later. Suddenly our happy sunny days were over. It started to rain. It occasionally cleared up for a while but then the rain went on again. All we could do was to spend all our time in the cinema or in a cafe. It was impossible to leave because we had made reservations beforehand and we had to spend another week there. I had never seen so many films in my life. By the end of the week I got very tired of the cinema and I could only lie on the bed reading books or staring at the ceiling.
At last the happy day of our departure came. You can’t imagine how astonished we were. The sun began to shine early in the morning. It seemed to me that it was laughing at us.
After that holiday we decided to spend every summer in the country.
After each term in school we had our holidays. It’s fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.
Most of all I liked summer holidays, they were the longest ones, though, when winter was snowy and and frosty, I enjoyed my winter holidays skating and skiing, sledging and making a snowman or having a fight with snowballs.
I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi. It was just three years ago. My parents and me were sitting in the living-room discussing our plans for the summer holidays. My father suggested that we should go to Sochi. On hearing that I jumped up with joy and said it was a wonderful idea. My mother wasn’t against the idea either. So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi.
First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice.
My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm. The weather was fine. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvellous town of Sochi.
Как я провел свои летние каникулы? Это было потрясающе! Полагаю, что лето самое счастливое время для ребенка, потому что мы всегда нуждаемся в хорошем отдыхе после того, как в течение года тяжело трудимся в школе.
В июне и июле я не делал ничего, просто принимал солнечные ванны. Это потрясающе слышать свои собственные мысли вместо криков одноклассников, отдыхать от них. Откровенно говоря, это было немного скучно, так как мои родители много работали, и я был все время абсолютно один в нашей большой квартире. Но я был этому рад, так как у меня появилось время для себя самого. Я читал книги, смотрел фильмы, сериалы, слушал музыку и ходил в гости к моей лучшей подруге Сьюзан. Я много времени проводил на улице хорошо загорел. Иногда я приглашал к себе друзей для того, чтобы поиграть в компьютерные игры, посмотреть телевизор или просто прогуляться вместе.
В августе мои родители наконец-то получили две недели отпуска, и мы решили провести это время за границей. Мы поехали в Турцию, и путешествие было замечательным. Дни и ночи напролет мы купались в теплом и красивом море, пили коктейли, танцевали с местными жителями, пробовали вкусные и очень сладкие леденцы и конфеты. Мы проживали в четырехзвездочном отеле в Стамбуле. Мы побывали в офисно-торговом центре Сапфир и участвовали в Небесном путешествии в формате 4D. Кроме того, мы летали на вертолете по Стамбулу. Это прекрасная возможность для путешественников выбрать места для посещений. К самым потрясающим местам города можно отнести Мечеть Святой Софии, подземное водохранилище и большой дворец Топ Капы. Еще я нашел здесь много новых друзей и получил свой первый поцелуй.
Возможно, я уже действительно готов вернуться обратно в школу, так как мои летние каникулы наполнили меня жизненной силой и зарядили энергией. На самом деле после таких насыщенных каникул нужен отдых и от них, но мне не терпится встретиться со своими друзьями, одноклассниками и учителями.

How did I spend my summer holidays? It was great! I suppose that summer is the happiest period of our childhood, because we always need a good rest after working hard at school during a year.
I did nothing in June and July, just got some sun baths. It was amazing to hear your own thoughts instead of yammer of classmates and to relax without them. Frankly speaking, it was a little bit boring because my parents worked a lot and I was absolutely alone all the time in our big flat. But I was glad because I had time for myself at last. I was reading books, watcing films, series, listening to music, and visiting my best friend Susan. I spent most days outdoors and got a perfect suntan. Sometimes I invited my friends to play computer games, watch TV or just go for a walk together.
In August, my parents finally took a two-week vacation and we decided to spend this time abroad. We went to Turkey and the journey was marvelous. All days and all nights we were swimming in the warm and beautiful sea, drinking cocktails, dancing with locals, and tasting some delicious and so sweet bonbons and candies. We lived in 4-star hotel in the heart of Istanbul. We went to Sapphire mall and took a 4D Sky Ride. Besides, we were flying in a helicopter all over Istanbul. That was a great opportunity to choose the places where travelers could go. The Hagia Sophia Mosque, the underground water storage area and the Top Kapi Palace were the most fascinating places of the city. I also found many new friends and got my first kiss there.
Probably, I’m really ready to go back to school, because my summer holidays increased my stamina and made me full of energy. Actually, I could have a rest after such an intensive rest, but I’m eager to meet my friends, classmates and teachers.
I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.
