People of all ages look for summer every year. It is a rest from work, the joy of sunny days after cold winter and rainy spring, a chance to travel or relax in nature. As for me, I always liked summer because of the possibility to stay with family and friends, to read my favorite books, and just to think about something important.

Of course, I did not forget about the rest as well. For example, I spent a few days on the lake near our town with my cousin and two friends. Ну а Июль я обычно провожу за городом у бабушки с дедушкой. У меня там тоже много друзей. Мы часто ходим на озеро искупаться или позагорать. Мы всегда очень активны и у нас есть чем заняться вместе.
Август — самый интересный месяц. У моих родителей обычно отпуск в это время, поэтому путешествие по разным странам — отличное занятие перед началом учебы. Мы с родителями любим путешествовать по Европе. Мы уже посетили такие страны как Италия, Испания, Франция и Чехия. Мы предпочитаем городской отпуск с большим количеством экскурсий и осмотром достопримечательностей. Но мы также можем совместить его с отдыхом на море, как это было в Италии и Испании. Это помогает соблюдать баланс между активным и спокойным отдыхом.
Итак, я полагаю, что лето должно быть наполнено отдыхом, встречами с друзьями и обязательно путешествиями. В этом году моя семья собирается в Грецию, и я с нетерпением жду отличного времяпровождения там.

Summer is my favourite season of the year because hard and busy school time is over and long holidays are waiting for me. I always plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
My holidays
Almost each year I spent my holidays in the country at my grandparents’. I adore that place for its landscape. There is a nice river and the woods where my friends and I can gather berries and mushrooms. We also enjoy swimming in the river and sunbathing when the weather is fine. Apart from this, I’m always ready to help my grannies around the house or in the garden watering plants and gathering fruit and vegetables. I like going fishing with my grandpa and cooking the fish over the fire. And one more thing which is worth saying is that I have a chance to breathe fresh country air and forget about the dust and the smokes of the city. Indeed I have a great time in the country with my lovely grandparents. I wish I could visit them more often.
Last summer
Last summer I spent my holidays at the seaside with my family. It was for the first time and I couldn’t even imagine such excellent holidays. We were there in August and were lucky to have sunny weather and warm sea all the time. It was so pleasant to have a rest doing nothing except taking sunbathes and swimming. There were different kinds of entertainment but best of all I liked water scooters and discos. I was also playing with my little sister on the sand and taught her to swim. Besides, I made some new friends and we had a lot of fun together. We went on several field trips. The one I will never forget was riding a jeep across numerous rivers in the mountains. Unfortunately the time passed very quickly and we had to return back home. However, there were still two more weeks left before school. I spent that time reading books, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games and going out with my friends.
Conclusion
In conclusion I want to say that I’m usually happy to get back to school as I can meet my friends and teachers again but I always look forward to having summer holidays.

All people like holidays. It is the wonderful time when pupils are free from school. There are autumn, winter, spring and summer holidays in Russia. Autumn and spring holidays are the shortest holidays. Winter holidays last about two weeks. The longest holidays are summer holidays. It is one of the reasons why pupils like summer holidays most of all.

Summer holidays last three months, so it is possible to spend these months in different ways. Many pupils go to the summer camps. They spend there about three weeks. Children have a good time there. They do different activities there and make new friends. Depending on the pupils’ skills they can go to the sport, dance or language summer camps.

Summer is a season when many people travel. Parents and their children go to the sea or different places of interest. Besides, many children spend their holidays in the countryside where their grandparents live. Summer is a season when the weather is quite good. It is sunny and warm. So, summer holidays are really good for travelling and spending time in the countryside or at the seaside. As for August, I would like to stay in the city and spend the time with my friends walking around, going to the cinema and cafes, playing computer games. My dream is to sleep as much as I like and to do what I like. I will ride my bike, go skateboarding or roller-skating in the park.
I hope that the summer of 2016 will be the best summer in my life and I will start my new school year happy, suntanned and refreshed!

Summertime is my favourite season because it means freedom from my school and hard studies. I usually go to bed after midnight in summer and I can sleep as late as I can. It’s a big deal for me because I get really tired of waking up early during the school year.
The most important thing for me is to spend exciting and fantastic summer holidays loaded with activity and adventure. During our long summer holidays I have much fun meeting my friends, going to a summer camp, swimming in the river and eating plenty of fruits, berries and ice-cream. Sometimes my family travels somewhere to a warm and beautiful place near the sea. We spend much time swimming, diving, sunbathing and building sandcastles and sculptures, we also go sightseeing and try the national cuisine in new places. And we take a lot of funny pictures there.
In July or August I often go to hiking expeditions along the river with my elder brother and our friends. As a rule our hiking trips last for about 4 or 5 days. It depends on the weather. Hiking is really arduous and thrilling. You have no mobile phones or the Internet there. You just relax, enjoy the nature and fresh air of the countryside, sunbathe at the beach, play volleyball, go fishing and boating, live in a tent and cook on the fire. Hiking is worth going because you also learn to live and help each other in a team.
My summer holidays are always full of unforgettable impressions. I long for the next holidays because I am sure I’ll have a great time again.

Usually we go to the skating ring in the city center. It’s beautifully decorated and provided with multicolored illumination. Another place of interest is Ice Town on the main square of the city. There are a lot of ice sculptures and slides so we may spend there almost all day until we’re getting cold. Maybe there are less opportunities to spend time in winter in comparison to summer but, anyway I like winter holidays! If you want, for sure you may find some interesting activities to do!

Мы закончили учиться и стали готовиться к праздникам. Мы с мамой убрали квартиру и украсили ее мишурой и гирляндами. Папа принес елку и мы нарядили ее всей семьей. У нас есть такая традиция в канун Нового года, потому что это семейный праздник и мы стараемся провести как можно больше времени друг с другом. После полуночи мы поздравляем друг друга и дарим подарки. Я люблю эту часть больше всего, не потому что я получаю подарки, а мне нравится дарить подарки моим близким и видеть их счастливые лица.

Еще я люблю кататься на коньках с друзьями. Обычно мы ходим на каток в центре города. Он красиво украшен и подсвечен разноцветной иллюминацией. Другое место, которое мы любим посещать – это ледовый городок на главной площади города. Осенние каникулы — Autumn Holidays

Весенние каникулы — Spring Holidays
I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.
I have a good summer holidays this year. And now I want to tell you about my rest time during my summer. The school year is over and I can do that I want. But my parents decide to send me to the summer camp. At the beginning I was angry, but my adventures were waiting me in the future.
I went to the summer camp. At the beginning I didn’t feel myself well. But in the second day I got acquainted with a good boy. We are speaking a lot of time about everything in the world. We spoke about dolphins. He told me how he visited a water park with his parents. At that time he could communicate with the dolphins.
In this summer camp I took part in the swimming competitions. Our team took the first place and we were much enjoyed. My trainer said me that I was the best sportsman in our team. As for me I think when I’ll come back home I’ll go to our local sport club. I hope I shall be the best sportsman there. My friends were the best in the football, volleyball, basketball. I was out-living for my friends, when they took part in chess competitions.
We had very much interesting events in the summer camp. I was in many interesting concerts. We listened rising stars. It was so wonderful. Also I went on the dance club. I danced with the best girl in the camp. All bays wanted to meet with her, but she looked only on me. It’s so beautiful, and I was so happy. She was the best girl in our camp.
We had many interesting times. We were drawing, swimming, took part in the sports competitions, watching interesting concerts. It was the best time in my life. What I was stupid, when I was angry on my parents in the beginning of the summer.
When I came back home from the summer camp, I asked forgiveness at my parents. I thankful them for my summer holidays. Now I can tell my classmates about the best summer holidays.
After my hard and busy school year my summer holidays began. I felt happy and began to plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
I was dreaming about far South countries I always wanted to visit but I had to go to the Azove seaside with my relatives. The water was very warm there because you know Azove Sea isn’t deep. What I liked there – a lot of different kinds of entertainment there: “water mountains”, water scooters and discos.
There was nothing to do all day except lying in the sun and getting a wonderful tan. I was playing with my little sister on the sand and in the waves teaching her to swim. Later I returned to Kherson and spent some time in town going out with my friends, reading, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games. After that I went to the sports camp where I spent seven days.
It was very useful experience because I had to get up very early, to train a lot, and to rest very little. But it made me stronger and healthier.
I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents.
During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school.
I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.
Everyone knows that for all students the best time of the year is summer holidays. First of all, you’re free from school and may forget about textbooks, lessons, homework for all three months. Moreover, you don’t have to wake up early every day and have all this annoying routine. So you just have the opportunity to relax and enjoy perfect summer time.
As for me, my summer is quite typical from year to year. I usually spend June at home. I get up late all the time and try to be outside with my friends as much as possible. I really enjoy cool summer evenings when my friends and I can go for a walk in the park or ride around the city on our bikes. Also, we like rollerblading a lot. If the weather is bad I normally stay at home playing computer games or just surfing the Internet.
July I usually spend in the countryside with my grandparents. I have a lot of friends there as well. We often go to the lake for swimming or sunbathing. It’s always active time and we have a lot of things to do together.
August is the most interesting month. My parents usually have a vacation at this time so travelling to different countries is the best activity before I go back to school. My parents and I love travelling all over Europe. Thus, we have already visited Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. We prefer city holidays with a lot of excursions and sightseeing. But we can also combine it with a beach holiday as we did it in Italy and Spain. It helps to keep the balance between active and peaceful rest.
So, I suppose that summer must be full of rest, going out with friends and obligatory travelling. Every time I’m looking forward to having an exciting time during my summer vacation.

Different people prefer to spend their summer holidays differently. Somebody likes to go to the South to swim and laze at the sun the whole summer long, The others would better visit their grandparents living in the country and they would play football and go fishing with friends. But I am fond of travelling. I believe that such hobby is one of the most useful for a pupil. While travelling I study foreign languages, find out many interesting information about customs of different peoples and meet new friends.
I visited Germany and England last summer. These countries aren’t alike at all but I enjoyed staying here very much. I don’t speak German so I had to communicate there using the English language. It wasn’t too difficult. My friends in Berlin shown me Camera Work where I spent five hours and the Potsdam-Museum which I didn’t like so much. The most ridiculous thing was that I understood Germans without any troubles but had some difficulties with my acquaintances in the UK.
London impressed me very much. It is a very beautiful and ancient city. Of course I went sightseeing at the moment I arrived. I visited the famous Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster abbey, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. I tried the national English meal – fish and chips – and made many pictures of the city. My favorite photo is the one where I’m standing near the real beefeaters. Unfortunately, I hadn’t seen the Queen of Great Britain. Anyway, it didn’t spoil my vacations.
I can’t decide what country I liked more but I am sure that the most pleasant point of my trip was when I returned home. East or West – home is best. I know it for sure now. I have brought many presents for my classmates and relatives.
I would like to travel abroad next summer again.

Summer is my favourite season of the year because hard and busy school time is over and long holidays are waiting for me. I always plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
My holidays
Almost each year I spent my holidays in the country at my grandparents’. I adore that place for its landscape. There is a nice river and the woods where my friends and I can gather berries and mushrooms. We also enjoy swimming in the river and sunbathing when the weather is fine. Apart from this, I’m always ready to help my grannies around the house or in the garden watering plants and gathering fruit and vegetables. I like going fishing with my grandpa and cooking the fish over the fire. And one more thing which is worth saying is that I have a chance to breathe fresh country air and forget about the dust and the smokes of the city. Indeed I have a great time in the country with my lovely grandparents. I wish I could visit them more often.
Last summer
Last summer I spent my holidays at the seaside with my family. It was for the first time and I couldn’t even imagine such excellent holidays. We were there in August and were lucky to have sunny weather and warm sea all the time. It was so pleasant to have a rest doing nothing except taking sunbathes and swimming. There were different kinds of entertainment but best of all I liked water scooters and discos. I was also playing with my little sister on the sand and taught her to swim. Besides, I made some new friends and we had a lot of fun together. We went on several field trips. The one I will never forget was riding a jeep across numerous rivers in the mountains. Unfortunately the time passed very quickly and we had to return back home. However, there were still two more weeks left before school. I spent that time reading books, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games and going out with my friends.
Conclusion
In conclusion I want to say that I’m usually happy to get back to school as I can meet my friends and teachers again but I always look forward to having summer holidays.

As for August, I would like to stay in the city and spend the time with my friends walking around, going to the cinema and cafes, playing computer games. My dream is to sleep as much as I like and to do what I like. I will ride my bike, go skateboarding or roller-skating in the park.
I hope that the summer of 2016 will be the best summer in my life and I will start my new school year happy, suntanned and refreshed!

Summertime is my favourite season because it means freedom from my school and hard studies. I usually go to bed after midnight in summer and I can sleep as late as I can. It’s a big deal for me because I get really tired of waking up early during the school year.
The most important thing for me is to spend exciting and fantastic summer holidays loaded with activity and adventure. During our long summer holidays I have much fun meeting my friends, going to a summer camp, swimming in the river and eating plenty of fruits, berries and ice-cream. Sometimes my family travels somewhere to a warm and beautiful place near the sea. We spend much time swimming, diving, sunbathing and building sandcastles and sculptures, we also go sightseeing and try the national cuisine in new places. And we take a lot of funny pictures there.
In July or August I often go to hiking expeditions along the river with my elder brother and our friends. As a rule our hiking trips last for about 4 or 5 days. It depends on the weather. Hiking is really arduous and thrilling. You have no mobile phones or the Internet there. You just relax, enjoy the nature and fresh air of the countryside, sunbathe at the beach, play volleyball, go fishing and boating, live in a tent and cook on the fire. Hiking is worth going because you also learn to live and help each other in a team.
My summer holidays are always full of unforgettable impressions. I long for the next holidays because I am sure I’ll have a great time again.

My father brought a Christmas tree and we decorated it all together. Maybe there are less opportunities to spend time in winter in comparison to summer but, anyway I like winter holidays! If you want, for sure you may find some interesting activities to do!

Мы закончили учиться и стали готовиться к праздникам. Мы с мамой убрали квартиру и украсили ее мишурой и гирляндами. Папа принес елку и мы нарядили ее всей семьей. У нас есть такая традиция в канун Нового года, потому что это семейный праздник и мы стараемся провести как можно больше времени друг с другом. Весенние каникулы — Spring Holidays
I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.
I have a good summer holidays this year. And now I want to tell you about my rest time during my summer. The school year is over and I can do that I want. But my parents decide to send me to the summer camp. At the beginning I was angry, but my adventures were waiting me in the future.
I went to the summer camp. At the beginning I didn’t feel myself well. But in the second day I got acquainted with a good boy. We are speaking a lot of time about everything in the world. We spoke about dolphins. He told me how he visited a water park with his parents. At that time he could communicate with the dolphins.
In this summer camp I took part in the swimming competitions. Our team took the first place and we were much enjoyed. My trainer said me that I was the best sportsman in our team. As for me I think when I’ll come back home I’ll go to our local sport club. I hope I shall be the best sportsman there. My friends were the best in the football, volleyball, basketball. I was out-living for my friends, when they took part in chess competitions.
We had very much interesting events in the summer camp. I was in many interesting concerts. We listened rising stars. It was so wonderful. Also I went on the dance club. I danced with the best girl in the camp. All bays wanted to meet with her, but she looked only on me. It’s so beautiful, and I was so happy. She was the best girl in our camp.
We had many interesting times. We were drawing, swimming, took part in the sports competitions, watching interesting concerts. It was the best time in my life. What I was stupid, when I was angry on my parents in the beginning of the summer.
When I came back home from the summer camp, I asked forgiveness at my parents. I thankful them for my summer holidays. Now I can tell my classmates about the best summer holidays.
After my hard and busy school year my summer holidays began. I felt happy and began to plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
I was dreaming about far South countries I always wanted to visit but I had to go to the Azove seaside with my relatives. The water was very warm there because you know Azove Sea isn’t deep. What I liked there – a lot of different kinds of entertainment there: “water mountains”, water scooters and discos.
There was nothing to do all day except lying in the sun and getting a wonderful tan. I was playing with my little sister on the sand and in the waves teaching her to swim. Later I returned to Kherson and spent some time in town going out with my friends, reading, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games. After that I went to the sports camp where I spent seven days.
It was very useful experience because I had to get up very early, to train a lot, and to rest very little. But it made me stronger and healthier.
I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents.
During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school.
I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.
Everyone knows that for all students the best time of the year is summer holidays. First of all, you’re free from school and may forget about textbooks, lessons, homework for all three months. Moreover, you don’t have to wake up early every day and have all this annoying routine. So you just have the opportunity to relax and enjoy perfect summer time.
As for me, my summer is quite typical from year to year. I usually spend June at home. I get up late all the time and try to be outside with my friends as much as possible. I really enjoy cool summer evenings when my friends and I can go for a walk in the park or ride around the city on our bikes. Also, we like rollerblading a lot. If the weather is bad I normally stay at home playing computer games or just surfing the Internet.
July I usually spend in the countryside with my grandparents. I have a lot of friends there as well. We often go to the lake for swimming or sunbathing. It’s always active time and we have a lot of things to do together.
August is the most interesting month. My parents usually have a vacation at this time so travelling to different countries is the best activity before I go back to school. My parents and I love travelling all over Europe. Thus, we have already visited Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. We prefer city holidays with a lot of excursions and sightseeing. But we can also combine it with a beach holiday as we did it in Italy and Spain. It helps to keep the balance between active and peaceful rest.
So, I suppose that summer must be full of rest, going out with friends and obligatory travelling. Every time I’m looking forward to having an exciting time during my summer vacation.

Всем известно, что лучшим временем года для всех учеников являются летние каникулы. Прежде всего, ты свободен от школы и забываешь об учебниках, уроках, домашних заданиях на все три месяца. Кроме того, тебе не нужно вставать рано каждый день и соблюдать весь надоевший распорядок дня. Таким образом, у тебя есть возможность расслабиться и просто наслаждаться чудесным летним временем.
Из года в год лето довольно таки типично для меня. Июнь я обычно провожу дома. Я все время встаю поздно и стараюсь проводить как можно больше времени на улице с друзьями. Мне очень нравятся прохладные летние вечера, когда мы с друзьями можем пойти на прогулку в парк или прокатиться на велосипедах по городу. Нам также очень нравится кататься на роликах. Если погода плохая, то я остаюсь дома, играю в компьютерные игры или сижу в интернете.
Июль я обычно провожу за городом у бабушки с дедушкой. У меня там тоже много друзей. Мы часто ходим на озеро искупаться или позагорать. Мы всегда очень активны и у нас есть чем заняться вместе.
Август — самый интересный месяц. У моих родителей обычно отпуск в это время, поэтому путешествие по разным странам — отличное занятие перед началом учебы. Мы с родителями любим путешествовать по Европе. Мы уже посетили такие страны как Германия, Италия, Испания и Франция. Мы предпочитаем городской отпуск с большим количеством экскурсий и осмотром достопримечательностей. Но мы также можем совместить его с отдыхом на море, как это было в Италии и Испании. Это помогает соблюдать баланс между активным и спокойным отдыхом.
Итак, я полагаю, что лето должно быть наполнено отдыхом, встречами с друзьями и обязательно путешествиями. Каждый раз я с нетерпением жду отличного времяпровождения во время моего летнего отпуска.

Different people prefer to spend their summer holidays differently. Somebody likes to go to the South to swim and laze at the sun the whole summer long, The others would better visit their grandparents living in the country and they would play football and go fishing with friends. But I am fond of travelling. I believe that such hobby is one of the most useful for a pupil. While travelling I study foreign languages, find out many interesting information about customs of different peoples and meet new friends.
I visited Germany and England last summer. These countries aren’t alike at all but I enjoyed staying here very much. I don’t speak German so I had to communicate there using the English language. It wasn’t too difficult. My friends in Berlin shown me Camera Work where I spent five hours and the Potsdam-Museum which I didn’t like so much. The most ridiculous thing was that I understood Germans without any troubles but had some difficulties with my acquaintances in the UK.
London impressed me very much. It is a very beautiful and ancient city. Of course I went sightseeing at the moment I arrived. I visited the famous Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster abbey, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. I tried the national English meal – fish and chips – and made many pictures of the city. My favorite photo is the one where I’m standing near the real beefeaters. Unfortunately, I hadn’t seen the Queen of Great Britain. Anyway, it didn’t spoil my vacations.
I can’t decide what country I liked more but I am sure that the most pleasant point of my trip was when I returned home. East or West – home is best. I know it for sure now. I have brought many presents for my classmates and relatives.
I would like to travel abroad next summer again.
