My room is decorated in light beige colour scheme. It features wooden furniture. The room is simple but very functional.
My room is divided into zones. There is a living area and a sleeping area. The sleeping area is located on a platform. There is a comfortable bed and a large wardrobe in this zone. There is a carpet on the floor. Next to my wardrobe there is a little shelf. This is the place where I keep all my awards and achievement certificates. We live in a new 16-storeyed block of flats. It’s situated in a very picturesque place. There’s a big supermarket on the ground floor and it’s very convenient to do everyday shopping.
Our flat is on the fifth floor. It’s very comfortable and well-planned. We have all modern conveniences, such as central heating, electricity, gas, cold and hot running water, and telephone. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a hall in our flat. There’s also a balcony and we can enjoy a lovely view of the river.
The largest room in our flat is the living room and we use it as a dining I room also. In the middle of the room there is a big table and six chairs round it. Opposite the window there is a wall unit with lots of books, a TV-set, and a video cassette recorder. There are two comfortable armchairs and a small coffee table in the right-hand corner. There is also a sofa and an electric fire in our living room. We like the living room best of all, so in the evenings we gather there to have tea, watch TV, talk, and rest.

We have four rooms in our house. But my favourite one is our study which is the biggest room.

There is a sofa in the corner of the room and next to it a beautiful old standard lamp, which is on the carpet. I clean the carpet with the vacuum cleaner very often. There is a piano near the window. At night when it gets dark I like to turn off the light, turn on the standard lamp and play the piano. When the standard lamp is on, the study looks like a fairy-land. I often sit in the old armchair and dream of pleasant things. I love this room very much.
But my brother likes our living-room. He has got a very good stereo system there. He plays his music very loudly in this room. This room is not very comfortable. There is a fireplace in it, but nevertheless it’s a little cold in winter. There is also an armchair, a sofa and some shelves with compact discs. My brother spends much time in this room.
We have recently moved to a new flat. We had a housewarming party yesterday. Our new flat is much more spacious than the previous one and everybody has his/her own room. My room is very big. It’s decorated with bright and warm colors and everything adds to the feeling of contentment and relaxing there. It looks grand because of two wide windows on a wall with no curtains. The room is a whole world for me where I can keep my stuff: diaries, textbooks, dolls, posters, magazines, dresses, etc.
The room is furnished with cute double bed in the right corner of the room, a desk with chair , some bookshelves, a small coffee table next to the desk, a sofa with cushions, and a drawing easel. There is a wooden rocking-chair in front of the bed. It was made by my father. As for the desk, it contains numerous drawers where I can keep jewelry and beauty care products. There are two bedside tables on the left of the bed and a big alarm clock on one of them. There are three pictures on walls. One of them was bought in Paris two years ago. Other pictures were drawn by me and my little sister.
I don’t like wallpapers, that’s why walls of the room are decorated with wooden panels and photos. There is no carpet on the floor, because I prefer laminated flooring with no other decorations. There is a big mirror on the wall. The coffee table is situated under the mirror. There are flowers in pots, magazines, a paddle brush and my favorite cup on it. There is also a dream catcher on the window. This decoration catches good dreams and releases from bad ones.
When I have free time I’m reading different books of English and Russian writers, sitting in a rocking chair and dreaming about my future. I spend most of the time in my room and I’m glad it’s so comfortable. Because it’s really important.

We have four rooms in our house. But my favourite one is our study which is the biggest room.
It is full of wonderful things: books, pictures, collections of coins, a video and computer. There is a very old writing table in the study. My great granddad bought it in the beginning of the century when he was a student. It is very old, solid and comfortable.
There is a sofa in the corner of the room and next to it a beautiful old standard lamp, which is on the carpet. I clean the carpet with the vacuum cleaner very often. There is a piano near the window. At night when it gets dark I like to turn off the light, turn on the standard lamp and play the piano. When the standard lamp is on, the study looks like a fairy-land. I often sit in the old armchair and dream of pleasant things. I love this room very much.
But my brother likes our living-room. He has got a very good stereo system there. He plays his music very loudly in this room. This room is not very comfortable. There is a fireplace in it, but nevertheless it’s a little cold in winter. There is also an armchair, a sofa and some shelves with compact discs. My brother spends much time in this room.
We have recently moved to a new flat. We had a housewarming party yesterday. Our new flat is much more spacious than the previous one and everybody has his/her own room. My room is very big. It’s decorated with bright and warm colors and everything adds to the feeling of contentment and relaxing there. It looks grand because of two wide windows on a wall with no curtains. The room is a whole world for me where I can keep my stuff: diaries, textbooks, dolls, posters, magazines, dresses, etc.
The room is furnished with cute double bed in the right corner of the room, a desk with chair , some bookshelves, a small coffee table next to the desk, a sofa with cushions, and a drawing easel. There is a wooden rocking-chair in front of the bed. It was made by my father. As for the desk, it contains numerous drawers where I can keep jewelry and beauty care products. There are two bedside tables on the left of the bed and a big alarm clock on one of them. There are three pictures on walls. One of them was bought in Paris two years ago. Other pictures were drawn by me and my little sister.
I don’t like wallpapers, that’s why walls of the room are decorated with wooden panels and photos. There is no carpet on the floor, because I prefer laminated flooring with no other decorations. There is a big mirror on the wall. The coffee table is situated under the mirror. There are flowers in pots, magazines, a paddle brush and my favorite cup on it. There is also a dream catcher on the window. This decoration catches good dreams and releases from bad ones.
When I have free time I’m reading different books of English and Russian writers, sitting in a rocking chair and dreaming about my future. I spend most of the time in my room and I’m glad it’s so comfortable. Because it’s really important.

Недавно мы переехали в новую квартиру. Вчера мы устраивали новоселье. Наша новая квартира намного просторнее, чем предыдущая и у каждого есть своя собственная комната.
Моя комната очень большая. Она оформлена в ярких и теплых тонах и все здесь создает чувство расслабленности и удовлетворения. Комната выглядит большой из-за двух широких окон без занавесок. Эта комната – целый мир для меня, где я могу хранить все свои вещи: дневники, учебники, кукол, постеры, журналы, платья и др.
Комната обставлена следующим образом: милая двуспальная кровать в правом углу комнаты, письменный стол со стулом, несколько книжных полок, маленький кофейный столик у письменного стола, диван с подушками и художественный мольберт. Напротив кровати расположено деревянное кресло-качалка. Его сделал мой отец. Что касается стола, то в нем есть множество ящичков, где я могу хранить украшения и косметические принадлежности. Слева от кровати стоят две прикроватных тумбочки и большой будильник на одной из них. На стенах висят три картины. Одна из них была куплена в Париже несколько лет назад. Остальные картины были нарисованы мной и моей младшей сестрой.
Мне не нравятся обои, поэтому стены комнаты декорированы деревянными панелями и фотографиями. На полу нет ковра, так как я предпочитаю ламинат без каких либо прочих украшений. На стене висит большое зеркало. Кофейный столик находится под зеркалом. На столике стоят горшки с цветами, моя любимая кружка, лежат журналы, расческа для волос. Еще на окне висит ловец снов. Это украшение ловит хорошие сны и отгоняет дурные. Когда у меня есть свободное время, я читаю различные книги английских и русских писателей, сидя в кресле-качалке и мечтая о своем будущем. Я провожу в комнате большую часть своего времени, и я рада, что в ней достаточно комфортно, так как это очень важно.
