I live and study in Kazan city, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. It’s my native city as I was born here. Kazan is located on the left bank of the Volga river and it was founded more than one thousand years ago. So it is a very old place, with rich and fascinating history. The population of my city is multinational and enormous: about one and a half million people. Kazan has changed greatly from the moment when I was born and it has grown much bigger, but still it keeps its own traditions and some strict religious rules. The people of my city are friendly and hospitable, polite and intelligent to my mind.
The capital of Tatarstan is a city of contrasts: there are quarters of modern high-rise buildings and districts with old historical places; some districts are awfully noisy and crowded, with long traffic jams, the others are very clean and quiet. Our transport system is really busy: we have a railway station, a big river port, an airport, buses, trolleybuses, trams and trains of the Kazan metro which was opened in 2005.
There are plenty of impressive sights for our guests in the historical centre of the city: the Kremlin of the 10th century, the Millenium bridge, the Kul-Sharif mosque and other beautiful cathedrals and mosques. Kazan has unique museums, able to suit any taste: the Fine Arts museum, the museum of Leo Tolstoy, the National museum of Tatarstan, the museum of Zoology.
My native city is a recognized sports capital of Russia. It has hosted many important sports events. The International Summer Universiade of 2013 was among them. And in 2018 our city is going to host the FIFA World Cup.
I feel proud of my birthplace and I am sure that Kazan is the place which is worth visiting at least once in our life. I know that many tourists from abroad come here and they feel enraptured with the local sights.

There are a lot of museums in Moscow. I like to go to the State Tretyakov Gallery and watch the paintings. My city is rich in cultural places. There are a lot of theatres, showrooms and concert halls in Moscow. I visited Bolshoi Theatre with my parents. The performance was very exciting and I was full of unforgettable impressions.
Many people think that Moscow is noisy city but there are a lot of quiet parks and public gardens in it. I love my city very much because it is fine and majestic. I’m proud of my city and I’m glad that I live here.

Everyone knows that St. Petersburg is usually referred to as the cultural capital of Russia. It is the city of great monuments, historical museums and other sites which belong to the World Heritage. Among them there is the Hermitage, the Mariinsky Theatre, Kazan Cathedral, the Peterhof Grand Palace, Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood and many others.
The city is the place where a lot of festivals and celebrations are held. It is a unique city with its own ingenious atmosphere.

I`d like to tell you about my native town. I live in Murmansk region. It is situated on the Kola Peninsula. Murmansk region is sometimes called the Peninsula of Treasures. Among the treasures secreted in the soil and rock of the Kola Peninsula, one occasionally encounters stones striking beauty and color. Everybody has their native town. So do I. My native town is Apatity. It is called by the name of mineral Apatite. It is the “stone of fertility”. We`ve got nice and big Khibin mountains. Apatite has been mined in these mountains since the 1930.
My town is not big. There are about 68 000 people live in it. There are only 10 schools, a swimmingpool, a cinema, several museums, and constructions for rock-climbing and a lot of friendly people in my town. Every winter many people from other cities come here to skiing on the Khibin Mountains and visit art salon “Salma”. You can find there beautiful pictures are made from different minerals. Also you can see competition of ball dances and visit exhibitions “Stone flower” in February.
Our proud is northern lights. This sort of light show is seldom seen outside the Far North.

I have many favourite places in my town: the Volga Bay, parks and cinemas.
You can see many people and children on the Volga Bay. There are many exciting coloured fountains here. In summer you can boat and in winter you can skate.
We have a lot of parks. Each park is very nice and cozy, where children and their parents gather for the merry and bright holidays, musical fairy tales, theatrical performances. Cheboksary is situated on both banks of the Volga, and is one of the most beautiful green cities in Russia. The main advantage of the Chuvash Republic is good location on the Volga River, which flows through the picturesque and green places. Volga and Sursko beaches, attractive natural landscape are attractive moments for tourism development.
The town also has a cinema. I love to go and watch movies with friends and parents.
We have a lot of monuments. Cheboksary is the cultural center of the republic and has more than 100 monuments, including prominent figures of culture and art.

I was born in a small town where my granny lived. But a few years later my parents decided to move to another place because they got jobs there. So, now I live in a wonderful town of Kamenets-Podolskyi, which is located in Khmelnitsky region and is very famous among Ukrainians. The population of the town is approximately 120,000 inhabitants.
The town is divided into several parts but the main division may be as follows: the new town and the old town. All the historical monuments, memorials and museums are concentrated in the old town where you can meet tourists from all over the world. Different concerts and international festivals are held here. However, the main tourist attraction is the large fortress, which, according to the historical records, was founded in the 11th century as a defensive fort by Cossacks. This fortress has become a great tourist attraction of my town.
The new part of the town is quite modern and busy. The streets are full of people; the roads are full of cars as in any other town or city. It is the place where you can easily find lots of cafes, restaurants and hotels.
In general, the town is highly industrially developed. There are a lot of plants and factories. At the same time it is a student town due to many educational establishments and schools. In addition, if you like to do outdoor activities or relax in the nature, there are a lot of parks and gardens, which, by the way, make the town look green and fresh. I am sure that people of ages can find what to do in Kamenets-Podilskyi because there is a lot of entertainment there, which varies from disco clubs and cinemas to art galleries and libraries.

As you know, many people like to live in the very centre of big cities, others prefer to live in the suburbs or even on a farm in the country. I live in the town of Novogrudok. I am fond of this place and I am always eager to describe my native place. I was born there and I have lived there all my life.
Novogrudok is situated to the West of Minsk. It’s not far from Minsk. You can get there in two hours by train or by bus. Its one of the ancient settlements in Belarus. Its about a thousand years old. Novogrudok castle dates back to the XVI century. Unfortunately it’s been neglected for a long time. Now its being restored.
As I have said, my town is not large. Its population is slightly over 30,000 people. But its not problematic for people to get jobs. There are several factories in our town.
My native town is in some way a cultural centre of the district. There are two modern cinema halls, a concert hall, a music school and an arts school. There’s a big department store and several small shops in the town.
My native town is situated in a very picturesque place. The landscape in this part of the country is exceptionally beautiful. When you get off the train at the station, you are surprised to feel how fresh and cool the air is. If you walk for a couple of miles you will find yourself in a wonderful pine forest which stretches very far. There are a lot of mushrooms and berries there. On Summer and Autumn week-ends my father and I always gather them.
I think my town is famous not only for its beauty but also for its people. If you come to my town you’ll find people there warm and friendly. Most people are hard-working and optimistic.
So my native town is a nice place to live in. The life there is quiet and peaceful. There’s hardly any violence there. You are most welcome to visit my town.

There are plenty of impressive sights for our guests in the historical centre of the city: the Kremlin of the 10th century, the Millenium bridge, the Kul-Sharif mosque and other beautiful cathedrals and mosques. Kazan has unique museums, able to suit any taste: the Fine Arts museum, the museum of Leo Tolstoy, the National museum of Tatarstan, the museum of Zoology.
My native city is a recognized sports capital of Russia. It has hosted many important sports events. The International Summer Universiade of 2013 was among them. And in 2018 our city is going to host the FIFA World Cup.
I feel proud of my birthplace and I am sure that Kazan is the place which is worth visiting at least once in our life. I know that many tourists from abroad come here and they feel enraptured with the local sights.

My name is Eliza and I’m fifteen years old. I live in Moscow. It is the capital of Russia and the biggest city of the country.
My city is very beautiful. All tourists of our city always want to visit Red Square. The main sight of this square is the Kremlin Palace. Also you can see the Spasskaya Tower and visit the Armoury and diamond fund.
There are a lot of museums in Moscow. I like to go to the State Tretyakov Gallery and watch the paintings. My city is rich in cultural places. There are a lot of theatres, showrooms and concert halls in Moscow. I visited Bolshoi Theatre with my parents. The performance was very exciting and I was full of unforgettable impressions.
Many people think that Moscow is noisy city but there are a lot of quiet parks and public gardens in it. I love my city very much because it is fine and majestic. I’m proud of my city and I’m glad that I live here.

It was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great. One can only imagine how rich its history is. For a long time St. Petersburg was the capital of Russia. Nowadays it is the second largest city in Russia and the third largest city in Europe, with the population of more than 5 million people (2015).
St. Petersburg is an important economic, scientific and cultural centre of the country. A lot of enterprises and international companies are located here. Tourism also plays a great role in the economic development of the city. St. Petersburg is not only beloved by Russian citizens, it is the place which foreigners will never forget.
St. Petersburg is a major transport hub. The city has an extensive network of public transport with buses, trams and underground. St. Petersburg is served by Pulkovo International Airport which is located on the outskirts of the city. Apart from that there are some seaports.
Everyone knows that St. Petersburg is usually referred to as the cultural capital of Russia. It is the city of great monuments, historical museums and other sites which belong to the World Heritage. Among them there is the Hermitage, the Mariinsky Theatre, Kazan Cathedral, the Peterhof Grand Palace, Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood and many others.
The city is the place where a lot of festivals and celebrations are held. It is a unique city with its own ingenious atmosphere.

My name is Slobodchikov Slava. I was born in a small town. It`s called Andreapol. There is a river running across the town. Andreapol is situated on the both sides of the river. It`s called Zapadnaya Dvina. Andreapol region is famous for its great forests and lakes.
Most of the streets are dark and narrow. There are a lot of one family cottages. They are not much different from each other.
In the heart of the town we hame a small square. There are some monuments to an Unknown soldier and a small History museum in the town.
Also you can find a post-office, a railway station, a hospital,a hotel,some shops, 3 secondary schools, musical and sport schools here.
In summer the town is green because of trees and flowers. In winter there is much snow.
The countryside around Andreapol is beatiful. My home – town is a very guiet place with very little traffic, few people in the streets during the day – time. The town has a long and interesting history.

I`d like to tell you about my native town. I live in Murmansk region. It is situated on the Kola Peninsula. Murmansk region is sometimes called the Peninsula of Treasures. Among the treasures secreted in the soil and rock of the Kola Peninsula, one occasionally encounters stones striking beauty and color. Everybody has their native town. So do I. My native town is Apatity. It is called by the name of mineral Apatite. It is the “stone of fertility”. We`ve got nice and big Khibin mountains. Apatite has been mined in these mountains since the 1930.
My town is not big. There are about 68 000 people live in it. There are only 10 schools, a swimmingpool, a cinema, several museums, and constructions for rock-climbing and a lot of friendly people in my town. Every winter many people from other cities come here to skiing on the Khibin Mountains and visit art salon “Salma”. You can find there beautiful pictures are made from different minerals. Also you can see competition of ball dances and visit exhibitions “Stone flower” in February.
Our proud is northern lights. This sort of light show is seldom seen outside the Far North.

I have many favourite places in my town: the Volga Bay, parks and cinemas.
You can see many people and children on the Volga Bay. There are many exciting coloured fountains here. In summer you can boat and in winter you can skate.
We have a lot of parks. Each park is very nice and cozy, where children and their parents gather for the merry and bright holidays, musical fairy tales, theatrical performances. Cheboksary is situated on both banks of the Volga, and is one of the most beautiful green cities in Russia. The main advantage of the Chuvash Republic is good location on the Volga River, which flows through the picturesque and green places. Volga and Sursko beaches, attractive natural landscape are attractive moments for tourism development.
The town also has a cinema. I love to go and watch movies with friends and parents.
We have a lot of monuments. Cheboksary is the cultural center of the republic and has more than 100 monuments, including prominent figures of culture and art.
I like Cheboksary very much and I love my city.

There is nothing better and the most expensive in the world like Native Land. It gives us wings for flight, lights every our step. It is impossible to choose Native Land. It can be only loved or treated indifferently to.
Unfortunately some people don’t have the sense of patriotism and feeling of pride. How to develop this sense?
Recently I have been to the city at the bank of the river the Neva – Saint Petersburg. I visited a lot of excursions and knew the city’s history. I was very impressed by magnificent buildings of Cathedrals, ancient Palace`s towers and many other sights. Having seen all the sights I understood that exactly in such cities we could develop the spirit of Homeland and bring up to love the country.
After this journey my love to the Native Land became stronger and I’m ready to defend it and do good to it.

I was born in a small town where my granny lived. But a few years later my parents decided to move to another place because they got jobs there. So, now I live in a wonderful town of Kamenets-Podolskyi, which is located in Khmelnitsky region and is very famous among Ukrainians. The population of the town is approximately 120,000 inhabitants.
The town is divided into several parts but the main division may be as follows: the new town and the old town. All the historical monuments, memorials and museums are concentrated in the old town where you can meet tourists from all over the world. Different concerts and international festivals are held here. However, the main tourist attraction is the large fortress, which, according to the historical records, was founded in the 11th century as a defensive fort by Cossacks. This fortress has become a great tourist attraction of my town.
The new part of the town is quite modern and busy. The streets are full of people; the roads are full of cars as in any other town or city. It is the place where you can easily find lots of cafes, restaurants and hotels.
In general, the town is highly industrially developed. There are a lot of plants and factories. At the same time it is a student town due to many educational establishments and schools. In addition, if you like to do outdoor activities or relax in the nature, there are a lot of parks and gardens, which, by the way, make the town look green and fresh. I am sure that people of ages can find what to do in Kamenets-Podilskyi because there is a lot of entertainment there, which varies from disco clubs and cinemas to art galleries and libraries.
This is the town of contrasts where the past is tightly connected with the present. I am really glad that I am its citizen.

As you know, many people like to live in the very centre of big cities, others prefer to live in the suburbs or even on a farm in the country. I live in the town of Novogrudok. I am fond of this place and I am always eager to describe my native place. I was born there and I have lived there all my life.
Novogrudok is situated to the West of Minsk. It’s not far from Minsk. You can get there in two hours by train or by bus. Its one of the ancient settlements in Belarus. Its about a thousand years old. Novogrudok castle dates back to the XVI century. Unfortunately it’s been neglected for a long time. Now its being restored.
As I have said, my town is not large. Its population is slightly over 30,000 people. But its not problematic for people to get jobs. There are several factories in our town.
My native town is in some way a cultural centre of the district. There are two modern cinema halls, a concert hall, a music school and an arts school. There’s a big department store and several small shops in the town.
My native town is situated in a very picturesque place. The landscape in this part of the country is exceptionally beautiful. When you get off the train at the station, you are surprised to feel how fresh and cool the air is. If you walk for a couple of miles you will find yourself in a wonderful pine forest which stretches very far. There are a lot of mushrooms and berries there. On Summer and Autumn week-ends my father and I always gather them.
I think my town is famous not only for its beauty but also for its people. If you come to my town you’ll find people there warm and friendly. Most people are hard-working and optimistic.
So my native town is a nice place to live in. The life there is quiet and peaceful. There’s hardly any violence there. You are most welcome to visit my town.

Kotovo is the best town in the earth. And when I leave from it I always miss it very much. You can`t fall in love with my town.
