Сочинение на тему the future of education books or computers

The problem of education is very topical in the modern world. Many people think that digital technologies are going to replace printed books in the future but others do not agree. They say that textbooks will last forever. Let us consider the facts which are for this statement.
From my point of view, the ability of the computer to store a lot of information is the most important advantage. To start with, let us converse about machines. Fifty years ago computers were only able to count numbers. Today they satisfy all needs of the humankind. If someone is passionate about printed books, he must spend a lot of free space at his home. Consequently, people can keep millions of books if they use a personal computer. In addition, we can save money. Everyone would probably agree with me that electronic versions of novels, which are sold on the Internet, are cheaper than customary ones.
Nevertheless, some people think that computers will never replace books. The main argument in favour of their opinion is the comfort of reading. They consider that a person does not get pleasure from reading
However, I do not agree with this opinion that if someone uses electronic ink in the devices, person’s eyes will not become tired of the display and hence, can take pleasure from reading through electronic devices rather than printed books.
To conclude, I would like to stress that in spite of all valid considerations of people who believe that textbooks will last forever, it still seems to me that computers are going to replace printed books.

We live in a quick-paced world, and technologies have been developed a lot. However, the system of education has not been touched by progress, and students still use printed books while studying. Will computers replace books in the future? People have different opinions on that. I would like to express my point of view.
I personally believe that books will have stayed at school for a long time, and there are some reasons why. To begin with, computer screens are very harmful for eyesight, and one who uses them constantly may become eye-shorted. In addition, books do not need any software to be useful, but computers do, and no one can prevent the system from being broken. If it happens suddenly, a student will be left without information one needs to gain some knowledge.
However, there are people who argue, saying that computers have their advantages and are better than books in some aspects, so they have a chance to become a part of education. The reason why is that it makes a backpack very heavy to bring all the books at school and then carry them back, and pupils get tired from heavy bags.
I do not agree with that argument, because students can leave their books at school and take them home only if they need them.
In conclusion, I would like to say that everything may be changed, but one should consider whether these changes will do good or harm.
The future of education – books or computers.
Time is changing; the world the world around us is changing. People invent new sources of information, which are modern, compact and convenient. We used to go to libraries; nowadays all of us have laptops and PCs. But what about education, can computer substitute book or not?
To my mind, computer is soulless; it does not provide any kind of feelings, while book has a tempting smell and pretty shape. Firstly, there are some rare exemplars of books that can only be found in university libraries. They are hundred years old and none of the copies available on the Internet. Secondly, book is much more comfortable for eyes. Eyes get tired less and student can read more pages in a row.
However, the biggest part of students prefers computers. They say that it is portable. Students can have gigabytes of literature in their backpacks and it will weight only three kilos. It seems more rational to them to use laptops. That is why all up-to-date universities have virtual libraries.
I disagree with this point of view because books have already brought up billions of people and computers have not. Enormous number of extra computer facilities disturbs students from the studying process.
To sum up, try not to ignore books and they will tell you the truth. Computer is a new technology and no one can be sure that it is harmless. In one thing I am sure: book cannot discharge.

The future of education — books or computers?
What is your opinion? Are computers going to replace printed books in the future?
Write 200-250 words. Essay
The latest advances in information technology make people think that schools of the future will use computers instead of printed books. Although electronic books have not been widely accepted yet, I believe they will be able to take the place of printed books. In my opinion, students will widely use computers for studying in the future. To begin with, computers can store lots of books in their memory and modern software allows us to find quickly the necessary information. Besides, with the interactive programmes on computers studying will be much more exciting. What is more, electronic books will not degrade overtime like their printed counterparts. Nevertheless, lots of disbelievers argue that computers will not replace printed books because a printed book is better for human eyes than a computer screen. In addition, books are cheaper and easier to use since they do not need electricity or the internet connection. However, I disagree with this opinion because modern computer screens emit no radiation and allow us to read even in low light conditions, so they are even less harmful than books. Of course we will have to pay for electricity but I think it will be cheaper than to pay for printed books, which are very expensive nowadays. To sum up, I think computers and printed books will peacefully coexist for years to come, but in the future technological progress will make it possible for pupils to carry laptops or even palmtops instead of traditional bags with lots of heavy books.

Task 24. Computer games teach us nothing & young people should avoid them. What is your opinion? Do you agree or disagree?
People have always had different hobbies but technological progress has caused the appearance of computers and computer games, which can keep a child occupied for hours. However, adults consider computer games a complete waste of time.
As for me, I believe computer games are more than mindless entertainment. To begin with, computer games can teach people to achieve their aims as they regularly put obstacles and traps in the way of players which are necessary to overcome in order to progress through the rest of the game. Additionally, computer games can be a valuable source of accidental learning that can be applied to school, home, and social events. Moreover, teachers have also started to appreciate educational games as an opportunity to make their lessons more exciting.
Nevertheless, quite a few people are against this activity as they find it rather addictive and harmful for children’s health. They argue that computer games make students neglect their school work. However, if we learn to control our computer use and play games for an hour just to relax after a hard day at school, this will not do us any harm. What is more, modern technology made it possible to eliminate the bad effect of computers on our eyes.
To sum up, I believe that computer games have more advantages than drawbacks. They make us persistent, develop our logical reasoning and help us to escape from everyday problems. The thing is to find a right balance between virtual reality and everyday reality.

Посмотри, может подойдет чтото не знаю the american columnist douglas rushkoff once said, “computers don’t kill books; people do.” our contemporary world proves these words since people use computers everywhere and education is not an exception. some people consider using computers instead of books as an innovation whereas others say that books should not be denied. to start with, computers are greatly convenient. you can take them anywhere and use one both at school and home. students claim that heavy bags is not what they like, however all school books can be downloaded to a computer and that is a solution. another advantage of using computers in the classroom is access to the internet – an endless library where students can find information they need. moreover, computers draw students’ attention, as a result a deeper knowledge and understanding. scientists proved that it is easier to learn when you do something yourself. students can create projects, presentations, compositions with the help of computers while gaining skills. drawbacks are also obvious, in particular risks computer brings. frequent computer sessions may pose physical health risks for students such as visual strain and harmful effects of radiation. furthermore, electronics are very expensive and it can be difficult to update so many computers every time, as well as buy software and hardware. all in all, there would be both advantages and disadvantages in replacing books with computers. the best variant is to combine both ways of studying without praising or denying them. computers are the wave of the future, but old fashioned learning techniques should not be forgotten.

Twenty years from now, students will no longer use printed books.
Use specific reasons and example to support your answer.
Some scientists say that people (or specifically students) will not use printed books in the future. I agree with them. In fact, I think twenty years from now, students will no longer use printed books for environmental and technological reasons.
Firstly, printed paper consumes a lot of woods, and this affect the environment very badly. We use tons of paper everyday, and this means thousands of trees are destroyed everyday. This creates a phenomenon called deforestation, and it is one of the most detrimental affect damage the environment. Deforestation not only destroys forest, but it also has a negative impact on the animal and other plants living there. Reducing the number of printed books will help save millions of trees, animals, and plants. If people are more concerned with the environment in the future, they will find another way to make books. Today, technology is developing very fast so I think finding a better way to make books will be possible in the future.
Secondly, computers are very popular to all students nowadays, so books can be completely replaced by computer in the future. Computers can store much more information than books. In fact, computers can contain more thousands times of information than books can. Computers also don’t consume much energy or material. In the future, therefore, students can carry one light laptop with all of their textbook and necessary information in it. Also, by using computers, they won’t have to carry a bunch of heavy books or search every page for information anymore. The computer’s search function enables them to find everything quickly and easily.
I am sure that students will not use printed books in the future. The concern about deforestation will compel people to stop making books, and computer technology will encourage them to replace books with laptops.
