Where would I want to live
I think everyone there is a place where they would like to live. Everyone has a dream in which he knows what will be his future home where he will be, what will be his surrounding. Everyone knows or at least is the location of this wonderful home. Because changing the man himself, changed his priorities, habits, it develops over time, like the fact that I didnt like before. I dont have a particular country or place which attracts me very much, I would just like to live somewhere near the sea. It could be in Russia or somewhere else, but the ideal of my dreams should be very close to the sea. I love to swim, so I would like to come at sea when you want and swim as you want. It is full of historic monuments and attractions, including the Gates of Turkish fortress, the Lighthouse, the Church of St. Onuphrius. When I was a child I dreamt about the most romantic city in the world — Paris. For me Paris is a fairy tale. That’s why Paris is the city of my dream and my developed imagination. As a child I wanted to visit just Disneyland. I saw wonderful pictures from the biggest (in my opinion) entertainment part in the world — Disneyland. I collected photos illustrated Disneyland land and Paris at whole.
Then I grew up and fell in love. It was the most romantic and lovely period in my life. So my desire to visit Paris was still alive as Paris is a city of love.
I think I would be the happiest person in the world if I visited Paris. I would like to see the Eiffel Tower. Hope it would be fantastic. I would like to do shopping in Paris, as Paris is a «fashionable city». Maybe it is expensive to buy things in the capital of France but I’m sure I would buy something, as I like shopping too much. In Paris there are so many interesting places to visit: the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, the Elysian Fields and many others. I would like to take a walk up and down Paris streets.

There are people who come here to participate in various festivals or sports competitions. Anapa is an active and rapidly developing city. Every year we have numerous festivals in the field of music, cinema and arts. The same can be said about sport. People organize numerous competitions, mostly connected with water sports, for example, yachting, surfing, boating, etc. I’m proud to be living here. It is one of the most beautiful cities on the Russian coast of the Black Sea. The beaches are mostly sandy, so they are ideal for children of all ages. When I have a free time, I also go swimming with my family or friends. Apart from that, we have several well-equipped sports grounds, where we can play basketball, tennis, football or just do morning exercises. All in all, the city is not big. My school is situated in the neighborhood and it takes five minutes to get there. Our relatives also live near us, in a walking distance. I know that the population of Anapa is a bit over fifty-eight thousand people. Compared to other Russian cities, it is certainly small. Nevertheless, in my opinion it is the best place to live in. It is full of historic monuments and attractions, including the Gates of Turkish fortress, the Lighthouse, the Church of St. Onuphrius. However, the best thing about Anapa is its kind and friendly people.

There are different doctors and specialists in the cities and it is very important. Living in the city means that you have many opportunities. There are many facilities in the cities such as entertainment centers, cinemas, shopping centers and so on.

If you look at the map of our country you will see a small region just in the centre of its European part, in the middle flow of the Volga River. It is the Republic of Mari El with its capital Yoshkar-Ola. Although it is only four hundred kilometers away from Nizhny Novgorod, about two hundred kilometers away from Kazan it is not as widely known as these cities. Of course, there are many other beautiful places in our country which are famous for their picturesque landscapes, distinguished traditions and interesting places to visit. Nevertheless, the Republic of Mari El is a popular destination for tourists who enjoy nature because it is one of the most ecologically clean areas of the European part of Russia with over two hundred lakes, 476 rivers, diverse flora and fauna and forests which cover 57% of republic’s territory. It has become a lot more popular in recent years since people are more and more interested in ecotourism
One of the most popular places to visit is State Natural National Park Marii Chodra which was established in 1985. This national park is located in the Ilet valley 80 km from Yoshkar-Ola with an area of 366 kilometers which is used in environmental, educational, scientific or cultural purposes as well as for regulated tourism. There are fourteen tourist routes in the park; the most popular attractions are such lakes as Yalchik, Glukhoye, and Kichiyer. There is also one place here which has a historical background The Maple Mountain, with Pugachov`s Oak. According to the legend it is the place where Pugachev who led the peasant war in the XIX century, going back to the republic of Mari after the defeat in the battle of Kazan had some rest with his people under the oak. Pugachov personally watched the burning of Kazan from this oak. There are more than fourteen tourist centers in Mariy Chodra There visitors can enjoy such activities as horse riding, rafting on the Ilet and Yushut Rivers boating, fishing, and mushrooming.
Another National Reserve is the Bolshaya Kokshaga, where visitors can find virgin forests and observe local wildlife. Nowadays many Russian and foreign scientists carry out different researches studying the unique nature of the Bolshaya Kokshaga. It was established in 1993. The history of the Bolshaya Kokshaga started with the reserve area which was completely destroyed by the fire in 1972. Despite the fact that there were plenty of swamps this drought was a reason of fire. In this nature reserve famous oaks grow. In recent years in Western Europe oak groves began to disappeare quickly whole forests dried out. The reason for this phenomenon is not established yet, and on this background oak groves of Mari El seem like real oasis. In this regard, Mari forests are under the security of scientists and environmentalists, including foreign ones. That is why any kind of work is forbidden here even trees which fall because of old age or after a storm are not removed as it is against the rules of the nature environment. These two places are not the only places to visit but they are probably the most famous ones.
One more place which is located in the southwestern part of Mari El on the left bank of the great and beautiful river Volga between the ancient cities Kozmodemyansk and Vasilsursk is called Yurino. It is a small settlement where your attention can be attracted by a castle with towers, windows of colored stained glass and а winter garden, above which you can see a glass dome on a huge ring with 7 columns. There are almost 100 apartments in the castle, among them “Picture gallery”, “Orient cabinet”, “Oak room”, “Skobelevsky hall”. The castle is an amazing part of the landscape with a green park of pine trees and curly birches. It is Sheremetevo Castle which has a long and exciting past and that is why it is a very popular tourist attraction today. In the past, the village Yurino was called Archangel Village. During the war with Napoleon Yurino together with surrounding land was bought by the richest landowner of Nizhny Novgorod region Vasily Sergeyevich Sheremetyev who was a nephew of the famous Marshal Boris
Petrovich Sheremetyev. Since the designers who worked here were mostly from Germany, it looks like a European medieval castle with some traits of Gothic, Orient, Romanesque and Ancient Russian styles. The owners of the castle bought unique and antique French and Vinetskii furniture abroad, different statues, a collection of rare books and paintings made by great artists from all over the world. The castle was being built for many years. Now it takes an area of 60 hectares. Sheremetevo Castle is a very interesting historical site and definitely well worth a visit. It is one place you must not miss if you get the chance to go to the Republic of Mari El. The castle is the place where you can see how Russians landowners, landlords and rich people lived at the end of XIX and at the beginning of XX centuries. Like many other castles it has its own myths and legends. Some tourists and a lot of local people say what they have seen the ghost which lives here. When I was a child I dreamt about the most romantic city in the world — Paris. For me Paris is a fairy tale. That’s why Paris is the city of my dream and my developed imagination. As a child I wanted to visit just Disneyland. I saw wonderful pictures from the biggest (in my opinion) entertainment part in the world — Disneyland. I collected photos illustrated Disneyland land and Paris at whole.
Then I grew up and fell in love. It was the most romantic and lovely period in my life. So my desire to visit Paris was still alive as Paris is a city of love.
I think I would be the happiest person in the world if I visited Paris. I would like to see the Eiffel Tower. Hope it would be fantastic. I would like to do shopping in Paris, as Paris is a «fashionable city». Maybe it is expensive to buy things in the capital of France but I’m sure I would buy something, as I like shopping too much. In Paris there are so many interesting places to visit: the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, the Elysian Fields and many others. I would like to take a walk up and down Paris streets.
Paris is my passion. I’d like to live out my dream. I would be in seventh heaven.

Я думаю, я буду самой счастливой в мире, если я увижу Париж. Я бы хотела увидеть Эйфелеву башню. Надеюсь, она прекрасна. Я бы хотела пройтись по магазинам в Париже, т.к. Париж город моды. Возможно, шоппинг в столице Франции дороговат, но я уверена, что что-нибудь я там бы купила, т.к. обожаю покупки. Country and City
The opinions about living in the city and country are different. There are advantages and disadvantages in both, so you have to think properly before choosing where to live.
As for me, I prefer living in the country, because it is more comfortable, soothing and the pace of living is slower, than i the city. The air is clean and the neighbours are very friendly, and being close to nature is good for health.
In the mornings you can enjoy the twittering of birds, the smells of flowers and the breathtaking sight of the rising sun. Suburban dwellers are relaxed and have a more optimistic attitude to life and good relationships with other people.
The country habitants enjoy their social life every day: they have dinner with their parents, visit their friends in the evenings, they play games and watch TV together.
It is more difficult to enjoy it all in the city. The pace of living in cities is much faster, than in the country. People loose a lot of time in traffic jams. That is why people who live in cities or towns are more pessimistic and less healthy. However, there are several advantages in living in towns and cities. There are career and study opportunities, there is central heating and running water. Towns and cities attract people of different cultures, so you can have various interesting friends.
Nevertheless, I want to live in the country when I grow up. I will buy a house in the countryside and enjoy my wonderful and healthy life in the village.
