I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.

Summer is my favourite season of the year because hard and busy school time is over and long holidays are waiting for me. I always plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
My holidays
Almost each year I spent my holidays in the country at my grandparents’. I adore that place for its landscape. There is a nice river and the woods where my friends and I can gather berries and mushrooms. We also enjoy swimming in the river and sunbathing when the weather is fine. Apart from this, I’m always ready to help my grannies around the house or in the garden watering plants and gathering fruit and vegetables. I like going fishing with my grandpa and cooking the fish over the fire. And one more thing which is worth saying is that I have a chance to breathe fresh country air and forget about the dust and the smokes of the city. Indeed I have a great time in the country with my lovely grandparents. I wish I could visit them more often.
Last summer
Last summer I spent my holidays at the seaside with my family. It was for the first time and I couldn’t even imagine such excellent holidays. We were there in August and were lucky to have sunny weather and warm sea all the time. It was so pleasant to have a rest doing nothing except taking sunbathes and swimming. There were different kinds of entertainment but best of all I liked water scooters and discos. I was also playing with my little sister on the sand and taught her to swim. Besides, I made some new friends and we had a lot of fun together. We went on several field trips. The one I will never forget was riding a jeep across numerous rivers in the mountains. Unfortunately the time passed very quickly and we had to return back home. However, there were still two more weeks left before school. I spent that time reading books, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games and going out with my friends.
Conclusion
In conclusion I want to say that I’m usually happy to get back to school as I can meet my friends and teachers again but I always look forward to having summer holidays.

Мне особенно понравился тигр, который прыгал с тумбы на тумбу сквозь обруч, закрытый бумагой, а потом даже сквозь горящий обруч.
Домой мы возвращались очень весёлые, обсуждая понравившиеся номера.

After my hard and busy school year my summer holidays began. I felt happy and began to plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
I was dreaming about far South countries I always wanted to visit but I had to go to the Azove seaside with my relatives. The water was very warm there because you know Azove Sea isn’t deep. What I liked there – a lot of different kinds of entertainment there: “water mountains”, water scooters and discos.
There was nothing to do all day except lying in the sun and getting a wonderful tan. I was playing with my little sister on the sand and in the waves teaching her to swim. Later I returned to Kherson and spent some time in town going out with my friends, reading, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games. After that I went to the sports camp where I spent seven days.
It was very useful experience because I had to get up very early, to train a lot, and to rest very little. But it made me stronger and healthier.
I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents.
During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school.
I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.

I have a good summer holidays this year. And now I want to tell you about my rest time during my summer. The school year is over and I can do that I want. But my parents decide to send me to the summer camp. At the beginning I was angry, but my adventures were waiting me in the future.

We had very much interesting events in the summer camp. I was in many interesting concerts. We listened rising stars. It was so wonderful. Also I went on the dance club. In August my parents always take a three-week vacation. Thus, at the end of the summer, all our family always goes abroad. We went to Turkey this year. Our vacation in Turkey was wonderful. We went to the beach every day, swam in the sea and in the pool, ate delicious food or drank cocktails. In the evening we went to parties or visited restaurants. Sometimes we went to the beach in the evening and swam in the sea. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave Turkey.
Summer holidays are never too long for me. I hope that my next summer holidays will be the same or even better!

After each term in school we had our holidays. It’s fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.

So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi.
First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice.
My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm. The weather was fine. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvellous town of Sochi.

We go to the park near our house for a couple of hours. There are wonderful views of nature which looks like in a fairy tale! After such activities we come back home for a hot cup of tea and talk about our impressions of New Year holidays. I also like to go skating with my friends. Usually we go to the skating ring in the city center. It’s beautifully decorated and provided with multicolored illumination. Another place of interest is Ice Town on the main square of the city. There are a lot of ice sculptures and slides so we may spend there almost all day until we’re getting cold. Maybe there are less opportunities to spend time in winter in comparison to summer but, anyway I like winter holidays! If you want, for sure you may find some interesting activities to do!

I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time – I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Last summer

After my hard and busy school year my summer holidays began. I felt happy and began to plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
I was dreaming about far South countries I always wanted to visit but I had to go to the Azove seaside with my relatives. The water was very warm there because you know Azove Sea isn’t deep. What I liked there – a lot of different kinds of entertainment there: “water mountains”, water scooters and discos.
There was nothing to do all day except lying in the sun and getting a wonderful tan. I was playing with my little sister on the sand and in the waves teaching her to swim. Later I returned to Kherson and spent some time in town going out with my friends, reading, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games. After that I went to the sports camp where I spent seven days.
It was very useful experience because I had to get up very early, to train a lot, and to rest very little. But it made me stronger and healthier.
I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents.
During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school.

В августе мои родители всегда берут трехнедельный отпуск. Таким образом, в конце лета вся наша семья всегда едет заграницу. В этом году мы отправились в Турцию. Наш отпуск в Турции был замечательным. Каждый день мы ходили на пляж, купались в море или бассейне, ели изысканную еду или пили коктейли. Вечером вы ходили на вечеринки или в рестораны. Иногда мы ходили вечером на пляж и купались в море. Когда пришло время уезжать домой, нам было жалко оставлять Турцию.

After each term in school we had our holidays. It’s fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.
Most of all I liked summer holidays, they were the longest ones, though, when winter was snowy and and frosty, I enjoyed my winter holidays skating and skiing, sledging and making a snowman or having a fight with snowballs.
I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi. It was just three years ago. My parents and me were sitting in the living-room discussing our plans for the summer holidays. My father suggested that we should go to Sochi. On hearing that I jumped up with joy and said it was a wonderful idea. My mother wasn’t against the idea either. So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi.
First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice.
My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm. The weather was fine. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvellous town of Sochi.

Winter holidays are the coldest and there is no opportunity to walk for a long time. However, it is special because of the New Year and Christmas holidays. There is the warm atmosphere around and the expectation of miracle!
We finished studies and started to prepare for holidays. My mother and I cleaned everything and decorated the flat with tinsels and garlands. My father brought a Christmas tree and we decorated it all together. We have such a tradition on the New Year’s Eve because it is the family holidays and we try to spend time together as much as possible. After midnight we congratulate each other and give presents. That’s the part I like most of all not that I get some presents, but because I like to give presents to my family members and see there happy faces.
Another family tradition is go skiing. We go to the park near our house for a couple of hours. There are wonderful views of nature which looks like in a fairy tale! After such activities we come back home for a hot cup of tea and talk about our impressions of New Year holidays.
I also like to go skating with my friends. Usually we go to the skating ring in the city center. It’s beautifully decorated and provided with multicolored illumination. Another place of interest is Ice Town on the main square of the city. There are a lot of ice sculptures and slides so we may spend there almost all day until we’re getting cold.
Maybe there are less opportunities to spend time in winter in comparison to summer but, anyway I like winter holidays! If you want, for sure you may find some interesting activities to do!
Зимние каникулы — самые холодные и невозможно долго гулять на улице. Но они особенные благодаря Новому году и Рождеству. Вокруг царит теплая атмосфера и ожидание чуда.
Мы закончили учиться и стали готовиться к праздникам. Мы с мамой убрали квартиру и украсили ее мишурой и гирляндами. Папа принес елку и мы нарядили ее всей семьей. У нас есть такая традиция в канун Нового года, потому что это семейный праздник и мы стараемся провести как можно больше времени друг с другом. После полуночи мы поздравляем друг друга и дарим подарки. Я люблю эту часть больше всего, не потому что я получаю подарки, а мне нравится дарить подарки моим близким и видеть их счастливые лица.
Другая семейная традиция – кататься на лыжах. Мы идем в парк рядом с нашим домом на пару часов. Там замечательные виды природы, словно в сказке! После этого мы возвращаемся домой, выпить кружку горячего чая и обсуждаем впечатления за новогодние каникулы.
Еще я люблю кататься на коньках с друзьями. Обычно мы ходим на каток в центре города. Он красиво украшен и подсвечен разноцветной иллюминацией. Другое место, которое мы любим посещать – это ледовый городок на главной площади города. Там множество фигур изо льда и ледовых горок, поэтому мы можем провести там почти весь день, пока не замерзнем.
Может зимой меньше вариантов времяпровождения, чем летом, но все равно мне нравятся зимние каникулы! Если есть желание, обязательно можно найти интересное занятие!
Осенние каникулы — Autumn Holidays

For sure, I may say that St. Petersburg exceeded my expectation. Moreover, I got even more impressions in 1 week then in the whole summer holidays! Therefore, I want to come back there on the next holidays!
Я считаю, что осень – самое красивое время года. На улице множество разноцветных листьев, небо – красивого темно-синего цвета и уже не так жарко как летом. Поэтому я считаю осенние каникулы лучшим временем для путешествий! Более того, осенние каникулы короткие и я хочу наполнить событиями это время. Я попросил родителей съездить в Санкт-Петербург, так как это была моя давняя мечта, с тех пор как мы начали изучать его на уроках истории. Родители согласились и мы поехали на поезде в Северную Венецию, так иногда называют этот город.
Когда мы приехали туда, было холодно и дождливо, но через несколько часов распогодилось. Мы прогулялись по Невскому проспекту, делая множество фотографий с памятниками. Мы вышли на Дворцовую площадь и увидели Эрмитаж. Отстояв в большой очереди, мы, наконец, зашли в музей. Это было чудесно! Мы долго гуляли там, но все равно не хватало времени посмотреть все.
