My name is Martha and I’m fifteen years old. I study at the 9th grade of a state secondary school. My family is comparatively small. It’s just me, my parents and our pets. We have two pets: a cat Cristy ly and a dog Mukhtar.
At weekends I often go shopping with my parents. We visit the nearest hypermarket and some other stores in the same building. This hypermarket, which is called “Atak”, is my favourite shop, because we can find all the necessary things in one place. My parents say that there weren’t any supermarkets and hypermarkets in their childhood. They had to go to several places to buy various products. In my opinion, such stores are simply indispensablein each city or town. They have lots of advantages. First of all, you can buy everything you need at one place. Downstairs, on the ground floor, there is a huge supermarket where we do our weekly food shopping. Various cafes and other eateries are also located there. Right in the middle of the shopping centre there is a big beautiful fountain with a lot of benches around it.
There are shops on the first and second floors. I like this shopping centre because you can buy nearly everything there. They sell outer clothing, outfits for youngsters, casual and office clothes, shoes, sportswear, accessories and a lot more. There are also other shops where you can buy home furnishings, household appliances and mobile phones. There is a big store with goods for babies and children. While parents do their shopping, children can play in the soft play area.
On the top floor there is a cinema, bowling centre and some fine dining restaurants. I often come here with my friends. Sometimes we just sit and chat in one of the cafes or go to the cinema to watch the latest movies.

All people can be divided into shopaholics and those who hate shopping. I definitely fall into the second category, but as we all know shopping is a pressing necessity. I do little shopping during the week because I’m usually busy studying. If I do go somewhere to buy some food it’s within walking distance from my home. For instance, I occasionally go to the butcher’s to buy some meet or to the greengrocer’s for some vegetables. I sometimes go to the chemist’s if I need some medicine.
Shopping day
I try to do most of the shopping at the weekend when I have plenty of time. I usually go to a supermarket where I can buy not only food by also household goods such as cleaning products. I always make a shopping list not to forget anything. Among the items on my list are bread and bakery, cereals, meat and dairy products, fruit vegetables, drinking water and juice. As you can see it’s rather long, so if you asked me if I’m a «basket-person» or a «trolley-person» I would take a shopping cart and go down the aisles. When I’m done with everything on the list, I head for the till and pay for my purchase. When I don’t want to spend time doing the shopping myself I can have food delivered to my place. I choose what I need from an online catalogue; place my order on the site and wait for a courier to deliver it.
Buying clothes
If I need some clothes I go shopping in a department store or a shopping centre because they offer good value. I never go to boutiques or upmarket shops because they are rather pricy and I can’t afford them. I often go shopping online. There are great benefits of shopping online. Competition is high, so there are always great sales and promotions. You also save time by shopping online.

We can’t imagine our life without shops and shopping. We need them every day. My favourite hobby is shopping. In childhood my mother took me to the shops to buy food, toys and other different things.
When I didn`t go to school I imagined this trip as something magical and unusual. Everything around me was alive; a large shop became a fairy forest only without trees. All things sang and danced as if asked customers to buy them. All this wonderful seeing ended when my mother asked me about something.
Now I am in the 6th form but I still like to go shopping with my parents. I also go shopping alone. I usually buy milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, fruits, vegetables, bread and bread things. Sometimes I go shopping with my friends. We try on things, have a good time and make jokes together.
Maria-RA is my favourite shop. I can buy not only different products but clothes too there. Most of all I like the department “Family”. You can find a lot of everyday clothes for grown ups, children and different accessories there. The prices are rather cheap.

I am sure that it isn’t easy to buy things that suit you perfectly. You should have taste first of all, the feeling of colour and understand the combination of your figure size.
Shops are everything for me. They raise my mood and I go shopping even when I am ill. Shopping and shops mean a special world for me where I feel myself like a fish in the water. There is a new range of goods every week in the shops and it`s impossible for buyers not to buy anything new. I`d like to open a large supermarket when I grow up.

Покупки и магазины представляют для меня целый мир, в котором я чувствую себя как, рыба в воде. В магазинах каждую неделю есть новое поступление товаров и невозможно покупателям устоять перед новой вещью. Когда я вырасту, я бы хотела открыть свой большой супермаркет.

All people can be divided into shopaholics and those who hate shopping. I definitely fall into the second category, but as we all know shopping is a pressing necessity. I do little shopping during the week because I’m usually busy studying. If I do go somewhere to buy some food it’s within walking distance from my home. For instance, I occasionally go to the butcher’s to buy some meet or to the greengrocer’s for some vegetables. I sometimes go to the chemist’s if I need some medicine.

I try to do most of the shopping at the weekend when I have plenty of time. I usually go to a supermarket where I can buy not only food by also household goods such as cleaning products. I always make a shopping list not to forget anything. Among the items on my list are bread and bakery, cereals, meat and dairy products, fruit vegetables, drinking water and juice. As you can see it’s rather long, so if you asked me if I’m a «basket-person» or a «trolley-person» I would take a shopping cart and go down the aisles. When I’m done with everything on the list, I head for the till and pay for my purchase. When I don’t want to spend time doing the shopping myself I can have food delivered to my place. I choose what I need from an online catalogue; place my order on the site and wait for a courier to deliver it.
Buying clothes
If I need some clothes I go shopping in a department store or a shopping centre because they offer good value. I never go to boutiques or upmarket shops because they are rather pricy and I can’t afford them. I often go shopping online. There are great benefits of shopping online.
