In early childhood children tell their parents whom they would like to be when they grow up. In school students begin thinking of their future profession. There are lots of professions in the world, and all of them are interesting and exciting. So it’s very hard to discover your vocation in life.
The choice of profession depends on your abilities. If you are good at humanities you should choose something in this field. And if you are good at natural sciences you should choose something closely connected with them. I would like to become a chemist because I like chemistry. I think that it is a very interesting subject, but I am not so good at it so I think that I am not suitable for this profession. Inspite of all I possess some qualities which are needed in this field.
I think that my future profession will be closely connected with computers. I am capable to work with them, and I also possess the qualities needed in this work. They are accuracy, energy, carefulness. But I hesitate if I have enough patience. I must develop it if I want to become a computer operator. I know that it would be better to choose a profession of an interpreter or any other occupation connected with Russian and literature because I am good at these subjects but when I began to study the computer skills that was what I have been looking for. In our modern world it’s hard to do without computers. They are needed everywhere, and I hope that my interests in this subject will never change inspite of any circumstances.

There is a wide choice of different professions and I`d like to tell you about my hesitation what to choose. In my childhood I wanted to become a famous singer or actor but when I was aware of all the difficulties of these professions I decided to refuse of my dream. Then I was going to become a vet. I imagined myself treating different animals, taking care of them, feeding and walking with them in the park, but this dream hadn`t also come true.
It goes without saying that every person must choose his profession according his natural abilities and inclinations to it. So I have decided to connect my life with a profession of a teacher because I am sure that it`s my cup of tea. On the one hand it`s a great responsibility for children, on the other hand it`s a very interesting, exciting and valuable profession in our life. Besides you won`t be able to succeed as a teacher if you don`t like children. Your success depends on a lot of things. At first you should be communicative, very organized and hardworking. You must be skilful in your profession. It is also necessary to understand pupils, give them a helping hand and be ready to solve their problems. More than that you must be polite and tactful.
Profession of a teacher is a great profession and it is known that who doesn`t work in this sphere, won`t be able to understand all the essence of it.
Nowadays there are thousands of different occupations but the most important role in choosing this or that one, plays a salary, of course. It is so, but to my mind, it`s impossible to work only for that purpose “earning a lot of money”.Our job must bring us satisfaction and always only pleasant emotions. So in conclusion I`d like to advise people to choose their profession carefully, taking every thing into their consideration.

When you leave school you understand that the time to choose your future profession, your future life has become. It’s not an easy to make the right choice of a job. I have known for long time that leaving school is the beginning of my independent life, the beginning of a far more serious examination of my abilities and character.
What do I want to be when I leave school? It’s very important question for me. A few years ago it was difficult for me to give a definite answer. As the years passed I changed my mind a lot of times about what science or field of industry to specialize in. It’s difficult to make up my mind and choose one of the hundreds jobs to which I might be better suited. A coupe of years ago I wanted to become a doctor, you know I wanted to help people who had problems with health. Then I wanted to become a policeman, then a spaceman, I even wanted to become a professional football player. But all of them now are in the past; they were like children’s dreams and nothing more. Now I have already decided what to do. I’d like to be an aviator. I know that it’s very difficult. I should know perfectly everything about the planes, airports, weather and other things. You know that the weather is very important thing for the flights too. I must be well educated and well informed. So that’s why at first I am going to go to the Aviation University in Moscow, then when I finish studding I’ll go to my country to try to get a job in the air companies. You know may be something will be not OK, because I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but I know that I’ll do everything to realize my plane and my dreams.
I also want to say that the profession should be chosen according to the character and hobbies of the person. That’s why parents mustn’t make their children choose the thing they like (parents like). Children must do it themselves. Because they must love the thing they do, believe that people need them and their job will bring them more pleasure.

ever make in life. According to Confucius, “Find a job you love
and you will never work a day in your life.” It is absolutely
true. If you are passionate about your work, you have more
chances to succeed.
Well, choosing a
proper career is a conscious decision of a grown-up person, and
it is essential to explore job options that match your
interests, skills and knowledge. It is absolutely wrong to chase
your parents’ dreams. If you are not interested to work in a
field they want you do, always stand your ground. It is high
time for you to decide for yourself what to do for living and to
find your real calling. Moreover, when you make a choice, it is
also important to get appropriate education that will give you
all the necessary skills, knowledge and practical awareness.
Today there are a
lot of job options to choose from out there. Anyway, the choice
of professions depends on people’s individual abilities and
talents. Some people have dreams of becoming a doctor and saving
people’s lives, others like cooking and become master chefs.
There are people, for instance, who like taking care of animals,
and therefore become veterinary surgeons. Some people have a
talent for painting and are not good at the other things. It is
not difficult to guess that they become painters, designers or
architects. All in all, today the most popular jobs are office
clerks, policemen, teachers, waitresses, hairstylists, drivers
and some others.
As far as I am
concerned, I want to start my own business and open my own
travel agency. I am too independent and enterprising to work for
an employer. The idea of doing a nine-to-five job does not
appeal me at all. One of the reasons I want to set up my own
business or become self-employed is independence. To begin with,
I can earn money working from home and spend more time with
family and friends. Secondly, I can choose any work schedule
that suits me best. Thirdly, if you are your own boss, you avoid
the stressful daily commute and traffic jams. Furthermore,
self-employed people tend to have an extended vacation. Finally,
my success depends on me and my own decisions.
Some people think
that getting a good salary is more important than having the job
you really want. I am convinced that an enjoyable job equals a
worthy salary. For instance, people can turn their hobby into a
profitable business and earn decent money from home. Besides,
people spend too much time at work and it is wrong to waste time

The global trends of the dynamically developing world influence on the formation of the future professions. Formerly, the students might choose their future professions in the fifth or sixth classes, because the primary trends were obvious enough, but nowadays the ever-changing global market dictates its terms. My generation should choose the profession of the future, which are not existed right now. Thus, the issue of choosing a career is getting harder.
What tendencies should our generation draw attention to? There are three professional areas per minimum, which will need in the human resources. If you choose one of it, you will be able to adapt to the global changes and requirements of the market and you will have permanent field for your individual and professional advancement.
The information technology is the most popular and high-demand industry even now, and it will be on-fire specialty in the next ten and twenty years. The key factor is the tendency of automation and optimization of the labor. Accordingly, the most required profession of the near future will be connected with the soft engineering. But there are also several branches such as the industry of virtual entertainment, finances and economics, design or optimization for reduction of the manual labor.
The healthcare industry is steadily widened and need in new type specialists, first of all in the genetics. The genetic experiments for fighting against the health problems and different pathologies cannot be conducted without top experts.
For people, who care about the nature, fauna and flora, the professions in the ecology will be more preferable. Specialties in environmental protection will be also in-demand in several years, because the state of our planet is more than unsatisfied and need in emergency aid. I’m going to tell you about my future profession. There are two most important things in anyone’s life: choosing a career and getting a job. Some pupils know what they are going to do after leaving school but for others it’s difficult to give a definite answer about their future profession. We get to know about a wide range of professions from magazines and advertisements and then we make either our own choice or follow our parents’ advice as they are also concerned about our future.
Choosing a career
When choosing a career one should take into consideration all the possibilities that it might provide. First of all, it should be interesting. Secondly, one has to be sure to be able to find a good and well-paid job after graduating. Another important factor that influences the choice of the profession is our abilities to different disciplines. One has to analyze thoroughly which things or subjects he or she is good at, and only then make a final choice.
I want to be an interpreter
As for me, since my childhood I’ve known I want to be an interpreter. My choice is closely connected with the importance of foreign languages and cultures which is growing nowadays. Foreign languages are needed for communication with people on our planet. I believe that among all, English is the most universal and widely spread. It’s an official language in a vast number of countries. Besides, it’s the language of international aviation, sports, medicine, the language of science and technology, trade, cultural and business relations.
Conclusion
I’m quite aware that the job of an interpreter isn’t an easy one. You have to be very communicative and responsible. Moreover, be prepared to work long hours and move around a lot. But on the other hand you’ll have a chance to travel to different foreign countries and to meet a lot of interesting people. I think this profession is worth taking up. The teacher’s work requires love for children, profound knowledge of subjects and the ability to explain. A secretary has to be efficient and careful in order to do her work quickly and accurately. To become a successful businessman you should know a lot. So after finishing school I want to enter the university and to study marketing or management. Management deals mainly with people. A manager is a person who directly supervises people in an organization. The choice of a future profession is quite a serious and important step in the life of every teenager. There are a huge number of professions in the world. Sometimes it is very difficult for some people to make a certain choice and they are lost in this variety. Each profession has its advantages and disadvantages. At the same time any profession gives us a great opportunity for our personal development. Therefore, before we finally determine our choice, we need to weigh all the pros and cons very thoroughly.
The choice of the future profession is influenced by many factors. Sometimes our choices are affected by examples of our friends, relatives, friends or just people who have made a successful career. Teens’ choice of their profession may also be encouraged by their parents or teachers.
Generally, teens begin to think seriously about what they will do in the future when they study at the 9th form of secondary school. After the 9th class they face a choice – they can leave the school and go to a college or a vocational school, where they will get their future profession, or they can continue their studying at school and after finishing it enter a higher educational establishment. While studying at school teenagers are required to determine for themselves what sphere of activity they enjoy most and what knowledge and skills they will need for working in this area. Then they will have some time to develop their definite qualities, which will help them to achieve the desired result. In order to make the right choice, adolescents should analyze their skills, abilities, inclinations and personal qualities closely, collect information about the profession as much as possible, explore all of its main strengths and weaknesses, identify perspectives that the job may give in future. The more you will have the information, the better you will orient yourself in what you have to deal in the future. It is also advisable to attend training lectures and seminars, read professional literature and communicate with people, whose life is connected with the profession you have chosen for yourself. Remember that the job that you are choosing for yourself must surely be interesting for you and bring you satisfaction.
Many people have their hobbies, for example handicraft, cooking, learning languages ??or programming, and in the future they choose a profession that is related to their hobby. I am sure that these people will always be interested in working in the chosen field, because they will enjoy doing favourite work.
The right choice of the profession allows people to avoid boring, tiring or unpromising work. If you make the right choice according to your character, knowledge and skills you will not be disappointed in the future and your life will never be boring.

My future profession
A child usually dreams to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter or even an astronaut in the future. These professions are very important, so it is wonderful when child’s dream comes true and he or she becomes an expert in the particular field, for example, in medicine.
I think that everyone should work. It may be easy or difficult work, well-paid or low-paid. However, what is even more important is that the work must bring the joy. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Masha. I have finished school this year. It is my dream to become a student of the English department. I want to study English, German and maybe French.
Knowledge of a foreign language opens a new world for us. If you know a foreign language, you can speak with foreigners and it is a way to better understanding. If you know a foreign language you can read books in the original, and it is a way to better understanding of other people’s nature and culture.
In our country children study different foreign languages. At school I took up English. I read stories by English, American and Australian writers. It has become my habit to read English books in adapted form every day. I learn poems and do a lot of grammar exercises.
Now I know I must work hard to master English. Studying the English language under the guidance of the University teachers I want to learn much about the history of words, their origin and usage in ancient times. For example; the word “window” is made of two very old Anglo-Saxon words, such as “wind” and “eye”. The word “window” means “the wind’s eye”. It tells us of the time when a window was only a hole in the wall, and the wind used to come through it.
When I finish my studies, I’ll begin teaching in a secondary school. I think I’ll enjoy the work greatly. Teaching is a noble profession. In modern times all kinds of specialists need foreign languages in their work — teachers, doctors, engineers and people in many other professions. If a specialist doesn’t know a foreign language he can’t use all the foreign books which he needs in his work. I want to teach my pupils to read English books in the original, so they won’t depend on translations.

In spite of what many people still believe, your higher education does not exactly define what you are going to end up doing as an adult. Though, of course, it is an important factor. Getting a degree in engineering doesn’t mean you’re going to be recruited by some major engineering corporation straight away. You might end up being a cook, an entrepreneur, a clerk and so on. To support this with statistics, only about 27% of Russians work in the field directly connected with their degree. In America, this number rises to 51%.
Still, choosing what you want to do early would benefit you really much. This way, you won’t waste time on things that you won’t need in the future. Right now, there are more career paths to choose from than ever before. Some old professions are slowly losing their importance, and at the same time, new, more exciting vacancies are on the rise. Some current jobs can be a mix of two completely different ones, which makes it easier to choose if you have two things you love.
There isn’t a universal list of requirements for every job. You will need different skills everywhere. However, qualiities like friendliness, responsibility, a bit of competitiveness and a will to learn can help you literally everywhere. Перевод

In my opinion, students who are seventeen years of hard to make the right choice. After all, do not fully understand what’s best for you. The theory – it is one thing, but when it comes to practice, many cannot cope with the tasks of their chosen profession.
I like the approach to the choice of professions in European countries. After school, many are going to travel to determine their place in life, or try their hand at some professions. Perhaps it is better.
It is important that young man or woman correctly identified for itself its possibilities, and the inclination. At such times, parents play a very important role in a variety of ways: decide everything for the child themselves compulsively pushing their children to the choices that yourself, look around the familiar and more. И первый наш серьёзный выбор, который повлияет на нашу жизнь – это выбор профессии. Трудно сделать этот выбор, когда в мире есть много интересного.
По моему мнению, школьникам, которым семнадцать лет тяжело сделать правильный выбор. Ведь не до конца понимаешь, что для тебя лучше. Теория – это одно, а когда дело доходит до практики, многие не справляются с задачами выбранной профессии.
Мне нравится, как подходят к выбору профессий в Европейских странах. После школы, многие едут путешествовать, чтобы определить своё место в жизни или пробуют себя в некоторых профессиях. Возможно так лучше.
Важно, что бы юноша или девушка правильно определили для самого себя свои возможности, склонности. В такие моменты родители играют очень важную роль в различных вариантах: решают всё за ребёнка сами, навязчиво подталкивают своих чад к решениям, которые приняли сами, наводят справки по знакомым и прочее. Огромную роль так же играет в наше время в выборе профессии и учебного заведения размер кошелька родителей. Очень часто это приводит к негативным последствиям.

In early childhood children tell their parents whom they would like to be when they grow up. In school students begin thinking of their future profession. There are lots of professions in the world, and all of them are interesting and exciting. So it’s very hard to discover your vocation in life.
The choice of profession depends on your abilities. If you are good at humanities you should choose something in this field. And if you are good at natural sciences you should choose something closely connected with them. I would like to become a chemist because I like chemistry. I think that it is a very interesting subject, but I am not so good at it so I think that I am not suitable for this profession. Inspite of all I possess some qualities which are needed in this field.
I think that my future profession will be closely connected with computers. I am capable to work with them, and I also possess the qualities needed in this work. They are accuracy, energy, carefulness. But I hesitate if I have enough patience. I must develop it if I want to become a computer operator. I know that it would be better to choose a profession of an interpreter or any other occupation connected with Russian and literature because I am good at these subjects but when I began to study the computer skills that was what I have been looking for. In our modern world it’s hard to do without computers. They are needed everywhere, and I hope that my interests in this subject will never change inspite of any circumstances.

Choosing a career is not a simple matter — in fact, it can be one of the most important in our life. You don’t need to hurry making a decision. You should examine thoroughly your abilities and character, take a realistic view of your strengths and weaknesses, pay attention to your parents’ and friends’ advice and take into account your own preferences. The last point in the list is particularly important because there are many examples when people make great mistakes choosing their future profession. Family traditions are good, but your turn of mind may be quite different. So, never base only on other people’s opinion.

Nowadays there is a great variety of jobs to any taste. Choosing a future career, we should consider the following things.
• Pay. Is the size of your salary important? Generally speaking, it is important. Of course there may be various situations, but if you are going to be independent, successful and wealthy, you have to find a well-paid job. Moreover, if you are going to have a family, you should be ready to support it, to be a breadwinner. Naturally, you’d like to live in good conditions, and your children to study at good schools, and then to enter prestigious universities, to travel all around the world and so on. Now you understand why you should take money into consideration when choosing a job.
• Further training, promotion prospects and job conditions should also be kept in mind. Just after graduating it is very difficult to find a plum job which will respond to all your preferences. It is usually a monotonous, tedious clerical job, but if you are a capable and hard-working person, you will certainly be offered an opportunity to climb the ladder.
• Place of work. You ought to decide whether you want to work indoors (cashier, chemist, librarian, secretary, etc.) or outdoors (driver, firefighter, estate agent, etc.). Your choice may be based on your lifestyle or health condition.
• Full-time, part-time, flexitime jobs. There is no set pattern to part-time working. It may involve a later start and earlier finish time than a full-time position, working mornings or afternoons only, fewer working days in a week for less salary. It is a perfect variant for students who want to juggle their studies and work, as well as flexitime jobs. Employees decide by themselves when to begin and end their working day.

There is a wide choice of different professions and I`d like to tell you about my hesitation what to choose. In my childhood I wanted to become a famous singer or actor but when I was aware of all the difficulties of these professions I decided to refuse of my dream. Then I was going to become a vet. I imagined myself treating different animals, taking care of them, feeding and walking with them in the park, but this dream hadn`t also come true.
It goes without saying that every person must choose his profession according his natural abilities and inclinations to it. So I have decided to connect my life with a profession of a teacher because I am sure that it`s my cup of tea. On the one hand it`s a great responsibility for children, on the other hand it`s a very interesting, exciting and valuable profession in our life. Besides you won`t be able to succeed as a teacher if you don`t like children. Your success depends on a lot of things. At first you should be communicative, very organized and hardworking. You must be skilful in your profession. It is also necessary to understand pupils, give them a helping hand and be ready to solve their problems. More than that you must be polite and tactful.
Profession of a teacher is a great profession and it is known that who doesn`t work in this sphere, won`t be able to understand all the essence of it.
Nowadays there are thousands of different occupations but the most important role in choosing this or that one, plays a salary, of course. It is so, but to my mind, it`s impossible to work only for that purpose “earning a lot of money”.Our job must bring us satisfaction and always only pleasant emotions. So in conclusion I`d like to advise people to choose their profession carefully, taking every thing into their consideration.

When you leave school you understand that the time to choose your future profession, your future life has become. It’s not an easy to make the right choice of a job. I have known for long time that leaving school is the beginning of my independent life, the beginning of a far more serious examination of my abilities and character.
What do I want to be when I leave school? It’s very important question for me. A few years ago it was difficult for me to give a definite answer. As the years passed I changed my mind a lot of times about what science or field of industry to specialize in. It’s difficult to make up my mind and choose one of the hundreds jobs to which I might be better suited. A coupe of years ago I wanted to become a doctor, you know I wanted to help people who had problems with health. Then I wanted to become a policeman, then a spaceman, I even wanted to become a professional football player. But all of them now are in the past; they were like children’s dreams and nothing more. Now I have already decided what to do. I’d like to be an aviator. I know that it’s very difficult. I should know perfectly everything about the planes, airports, weather and other things. You know that the weather is very important thing for the flights too. I must be well educated and well informed. So that’s why at first I am going to go to the Aviation University in Moscow, then when I finish studding I’ll go to my country to try to get a job in the air companies. You know may be something will be not OK, because I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but I know that I’ll do everything to realize my plane and my dreams.
I also want to say that the profession should be chosen according to the character and hobbies of the person. That’s why parents mustn’t make their children choose the thing they like (parents like). Children must do it themselves. Because they must love the thing they do, believe that people need them and their job will bring them more pleasure.

true. If you are passionate about your work, you have more
chances to succeed.
Well, choosing a
proper career is a conscious decision of a grown-up person, and
it is essential to explore job options that match your
interests, skills and knowledge. It is absolutely wrong to chase
your parents’ dreams. If you are not interested to work in a
field they want you do, always stand your ground. It is high
time for you to decide for yourself what to do for living and to
find your real calling. Moreover, when you make a choice, it is
also important to get appropriate education that will give you
all the necessary skills, knowledge and practical awareness.
Today there are a
lot of job options to choose from out there. Anyway, the choice
of professions depends on people’s individual abilities and
talents. Some people have dreams of becoming a doctor and saving
people’s lives, others like cooking and become master chefs.
There are people, for instance, who like taking care of animals,
and therefore become veterinary surgeons. Some people have a
talent for painting and are not good at the other things. It is
not difficult to guess that they become painters, designers or
architects. All in all, today the most popular jobs are office
clerks, policemen, teachers, waitresses, hairstylists, drivers
and some others.
As far as I am
concerned, I want to start my own business and open my own
travel agency. I am too independent and enterprising to work for
an employer. The idea of doing a nine-to-five job does not
appeal me at all. One of the reasons I want to set up my own
business or become self-employed is independence. To begin with,
I can earn money working from home and spend more time with
family and friends. Secondly, I can choose any work schedule
that suits me best. Thirdly, if you are your own boss, you avoid
the stressful daily commute and traffic jams. Furthermore,
self-employed people tend to have an extended vacation. Finally,
my success depends on me and my own decisions.
Some people think
that getting a good salary is more important than having the job
you really want. I am convinced that an enjoyable job equals a
worthy salary. For instance, people can turn their hobby into a
profitable business and earn decent money from home. Besides,
people spend too much time at work and it is wrong to waste time
on unpleasant things.

Formerly, the students might choose their future professions in the fifth or sixth classes, because the primary trends were obvious enough, but nowadays the ever-changing global market dictates its terms. My generation should choose the profession of the future, which are not existed right now. Thus, the issue of choosing a career is getting harder.
What tendencies should our generation draw attention to? There are three professional areas per minimum, which will need in the human resources. If you choose one of it, you will be able to adapt to the global changes and requirements of the market and you will have permanent field for your individual and professional advancement.
The information technology is the most popular and high-demand industry even now, and it will be on-fire specialty in the next ten and twenty years. The key factor is the tendency of automation and optimization of the labor. Accordingly, the most required profession of the near future will be connected with the soft engineering. But there are also several branches such as the industry of virtual entertainment, finances and economics, design or optimization for reduction of the manual labor.
The healthcare industry is steadily widened and need in new type specialists, first of all in the genetics. The genetic experiments for fighting against the health problems and different pathologies cannot be conducted without top experts.
For people, who care about the nature, fauna and flora, the professions in the ecology will be more preferable. I’m going to tell you about my future profession. There are two most important things in anyone’s life: choosing a career and getting a job. Some pupils know what they are going to do after leaving school but for others it’s difficult to give a definite answer about their future profession. We get to know about a wide range of professions from magazines and advertisements and then we make either our own choice or follow our parents’ advice as they are also concerned about our future.
Choosing a career
When choosing a career one should take into consideration all the possibilities that it might provide. First of all, it should be interesting. Secondly, one has to be sure to be able to find a good and well-paid job after graduating. Another important factor that influences the choice of the profession is our abilities to different disciplines. One has to analyze thoroughly which things or subjects he or she is good at, and only then make a final choice.
I want to be an interpreter
As for me, since my childhood I’ve known I want to be an interpreter. My choice is closely connected with the importance of foreign languages and cultures which is growing nowadays. Foreign languages are needed for communication with people on our planet. I believe that among all, English is the most universal and widely spread. It’s an official language in a vast number of countries. Besides, it’s the language of international aviation, sports, medicine, the language of science and technology, trade, cultural and business relations.
Conclusion
I’m quite aware that the job of an interpreter isn’t an easy one. You have to be very communicative and responsible. Moreover, be prepared to work long hours and move around a lot. But on the other hand you’ll have a chance to travel to different foreign countries and to meet a lot of interesting people. I think this profession is worth taking up. Being a student of the University I pay special attention to English and try to work hard. I hope I’ve made the right decision.

What counts here is free hotel accommodation, food and the nearest flight home. Travel agents play important role in helping people abroad. They should behave fast, politely, patiently. A flexible approach is very essential here. Such stressful work is expected to be well – paid.
So, to sum it up, I suppose that my profession will be profitable for me and bring benefits to Russia as a whole.

My future profession
A child usually dreams to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter or even an astronaut in the future. These professions are very important, so it is wonderful when child’s dream comes true and he or she becomes an expert in the particular field, for example, in medicine.
I think that everyone should work. It may be easy or difficult work, well-paid or low-paid. However, what is even more important is that the work must bring the joy. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

Это тот опыт, который вы не можете получить, например, даже будучи письменным переводчиком. Это основная причина, почему я хочу быть именно устным переводчиком.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Masha. I have finished school this year. It is my dream to become a student of the English department. I want to study English, German and maybe French.
Knowledge of a foreign language opens a new world for us. If you know a foreign language, you can speak with foreigners and it is a way to better understanding. If you know a foreign language you can read books in the original, and it is a way to better understanding of other people’s nature and culture.
In our country children study different foreign languages. At school I took up English. I read stories by English, American and Australian writers. It has become my habit to read English books in adapted form every day. I learn poems and do a lot of grammar exercises.
Now I know I must work hard to master English. Studying the English language under the guidance of the University teachers I want to learn much about the history of words, their origin and usage in ancient times. For example; the word “window” is made of two very old Anglo-Saxon words, such as “wind” and “eye”. The word “window” means “the wind’s eye”. It tells us of the time when a window was only a hole in the wall, and the wind used to come through it.
When I finish my studies, I’ll begin teaching in a secondary school. I think I’ll enjoy the work greatly. Teaching is a noble profession. In modern times all kinds of specialists need foreign languages in their work — teachers, doctors, engineers and people in many other professions. If a specialist doesn’t know a foreign language he can’t use all the foreign books which he needs in his work. I want to teach my pupils to read English books in the original, so they won’t depend on translations.

The choice of profession is one of the most difficult choices we have to make in our life. Yet it is one of the most important ones.
In spite of what many people still believe, your higher education does not exactly define what you are going to end up doing as an adult. Though, of course, it is an important factor. Getting a degree in engineering doesn’t mean you’re going to be recruited by some major engineering corporation straight away. You might end up being a cook, an entrepreneur, a clerk and so on. To support this with statistics, only about 27% of Russians work in the field directly connected with their degree. In America, this number rises to 51%.
Still, choosing what you want to do early would benefit you really much. This way, you won’t waste time on things that you won’t need in the future. Right now, there are more career paths to choose from than ever before. Some old professions are slowly losing their importance, and at the same time, new, more exciting vacancies are on the rise. Some current jobs can be a mix of two completely different ones, which makes it easier to choose if you have two things you love.
There isn’t a universal list of requirements for every job. You will need different skills everywhere. However, qualiities like friendliness, responsibility, a bit of competitiveness and a will to learn can help you literally everywhere.

I like the approach to the choice of professions in European countries. After school, many are going to travel to determine their place in life, or try their hand at some professions. Perhaps it is better.
It is important that young man or woman correctly identified for itself its possibilities, and the inclination. At such times, parents play a very important role in a variety of ways: decide everything for the child themselves compulsively pushing their children to the choices that yourself, look around the familiar and more. Часто в своей жизни мы сталкиваемся с выражением: «Выбор не так легко, как кажется». Каждый день перед нами встаёт выбор и мы должны принять решение. Это решение не всегда даётся нам легко. И первый наш серьёзный выбор, который повлияет на нашу жизнь – это выбор профессии. Трудно сделать этот выбор, когда в мире есть много интересного.
По моему мнению, школьникам, которым семнадцать лет тяжело сделать правильный выбор. Ведь не до конца понимаешь, что для тебя лучше. Теория – это одно, а когда дело доходит до практики, многие не справляются с задачами выбранной профессии.
Мне нравится, как подходят к выбору профессий в Европейских странах. После школы, многие едут путешествовать, чтобы определить своё место в жизни или пробуют себя в некоторых профессиях. Возможно так лучше.
Важно, что бы юноша или девушка правильно определили для самого себя свои возможности, склонности. В такие моменты родители играют очень важную роль в различных вариантах: решают всё за ребёнка сами, навязчиво подталкивают своих чад к решениям, которые приняли сами, наводят справки по знакомым и прочее. Огромную роль так же играет в наше время в выборе профессии и учебного заведения размер кошелька родителей. Очень часто это приводит к негативным последствиям.
Конечно, в жизни не плохо бы найти «свою» профессию, ту, которая ближе к тебе, к твоей душе, чтобы не мучиться всю жизнь. Но зачастую мы выбираем не то, что нам хочется, а то, что приходится: несмотря на возможность выбора, мы смело идем за друзьями и тем самым несознательно губим свою жизнь.
Я считаю, что нужно выбирать профессию не только сердцем, но и умом. Взвесить все «за» и «против». Потом принимать решение, от которого зависит вся твоя будущая жизнь.
