All morning I was already in anticipation of this event, although the concert started at 7 pm only. At 16:00 I got on the train to Kazan railway station, and then I went on the subway. When the concert began, at first it was hard to get used to the loud sound, but then I started jumping with the crowd in the rhythm of the music.
I finally saw their idols live! At this point I was very pleased. And at some of the songs I was crying, I could not hold back emotions. More precisely, crying with happiness that I hear them live. I finally saw Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, Mike Dernt.
I can safely say that it was memorable. It was one of the most happy and joyful moments in my life.
The concert ended at 23:30. I was tired and went to the subway joyful, and I heard the fans shout quotes Billy. With some I even was on the way. In the train, I almost fell asleep. And when I came home in the morning to tell their experiences to parents and friends in the morning.

One guy was playing the saxophone, one was playing the drums, two others were playing the trumpet and the clarinet, one student was playing the double bass, and one was the pianist. At some point, each of them played solo to show their skills. At other moments they tried to improvise, which also sounded well. All in all, they performed about nine songs. The audience was willingly applauding after each song. Once again, I understood that hearing and seeing a live concert is much better than listening to music on CD or MP3 players. Vika also liked this concert. After it was finished, we went to meet the performers. Surprisingly, they were very friendly and even signed their autographs for us.

There are not many theatres in my town, but they are all very popular with the public. I am a theatre lover, too. As for me, I prefer drama to all other theatres, but I also like opera and musical comedy.

There are so many kinds of music in our life. For example, rap and pop music, rock and alternative music, industrial and disco music, drum & bass and techno music, and, of course, classic music. Different people like different music. The scientists say that they can define your character if they know what music you like. For example, they suppose that people who listen rock music are very clever and reasonable. British scientists confirm that the most of young people listen to the aggressive music as metal and rock. Scientists say that these people are good students, because of their character and assiduousness. I agreewith this statement, because I think that music shows your soul and nature.As for me, my favorite group is “Linkin Park”. They sing in different styles, such as: alternative, new metal, heavy metal and rock. I like this group because of good texts and unusual musical decisions. This group was formed in 1996. They released 9 albums. I like all their songs without distinction. My favorite song is “In The End”. There are six men in this group: Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Rob Burdon, David Farell, Bred Delson and Joe Hahn. The most prominent person of the group is Chester Bennington. He is very talented. Also I like him because he overcame his drug addiction and made his musical career. Nowadays he is taken the 27th place in the hit parade list of “100 of all times top heavy metal vocalists”. He writes poems and composes music.I always adored people who compose music and write poems. I think that such people are very talented. Also I believe that they can draw pictures and show their feelings by their music or poems. They can make you cry or laugh. Moreover they make you think about global problems or you may lie soft and just dream while you are listening to the music.I guess that we can’t live without music. My motto is: “Silence is killing!” As for me, I always listen to the music, when I’m happy or when I’m unhappy. It helps me in my everyday life. I listen to the music everywhere: at home, in the bus, in the street.Nowadays we have relaxing music, which we use in medicine. More helpful than all kinds of music is classic music by such famous composers as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldy.Music is everywhere! It’s on television, over radio, in all movies! Can you imagine any movie without music?! Of course not. What if you watch television without sound, what if you see ballet without music, what if you hear voices without melody at the opera? Our life will be boring without music.

Each of us has our own idea of rock music. Someone equates this genre to classics, and someone criticizes it mercilessly. Being a great lover of rock music, I have been trying to figure out, what the positive and negative aspects of it are enclosed in. The most vivid and broad field of study for me is rock concerts. The first show in my life was a concert given by American nu-metal band Limp Bizkit. It’s difficult for me to point out the brightest moment of the show, because everything, that was happening on stage and in the hall was just beyond description! Live and powerful music, musicians’ communication with the audience, phrases in Russian, flying from the mouth of Fred Durst-all these pleased me very much. The concert made masses of people a united, happy family. We were all singing the songs together, smiling each other, taking photos. I learned, that many fans of the band have gained a lot of interesting hobbies, as learning the English language, playing the musical instruments, just after getting acquainted with it’s songs.
I was lucky enough to go to the concerts of other American bands, as Korn and 30 seconds to mars, and I’d like to say, that with every new show I got more and more fond of this kind of music. For me it’s not just an art form. It’s a hobby, philosophy, psychology, and, as Kurt Cobain said, «it’s simply a conversation of ordinary guys».
У каждого из нас свои представления о рок музыке. Кто-то приравнивает этот жанр к классике, а кто-то беспощадно критикует. Будучи большим любителем рок музыки, я пытаюсь выяснить, какие позитивные и негативные аспекты включает в себя этот жанр. Самым ярким и широким полем исследования для меня стали рок концерты. Первым шоу в моей жизни стал концерт американской ню-метал группы Limp Bizkit. Мне очень трудно выделить самый яркий момент шоу,так как всё, что происходило на сцене и в зале было просто неописуемо! Живая и мощная музыка, общение музыкантов со зрителями, фразы на русском языке, вылетающие из уст Фреда Дёрста – всё это очень порадовало меня. Концерт сделал из массы людей единую, дружную семью. Мы все вместе пели песни, улыбались друг другу, фотографировались. Я узнала, что многие поклонники группы нашли себе много интересных увлечений, таких как, изучение английского языка, игра на музыкальном инструменте, только после знакомства с творчеством коллектива.
Мне также посчастливилось побывать на выступлениях таких групп, как Korn и 30 seconds to mars, и мне хотелось бы сказать, что с каждым новым шоу я всё больше и больше влюбляюсь в эту музыку. Для меня это не просто вид искусства. Это хобби, философия, психология и, как говорил Курт Кобейн, “способ общения простых парней”.

There are not many theatres in my town, but they are all very popular with the public. I am a theatre lover, too. As for me, I prefer drama to all other theatres, but I also like opera and musical comedy.
I’ll never forget my first visit to the Opera and Ballet Theatre. My friend and I wanted to see the famous ballet “Swan Lake” by Tchaikovskyi. We bought the tickets in advance and came to the theatre half an hour before the show. At 7 sharp the performance began. From the very first minute I was deeply impressed by everything I saw on the stage. The costumes were fine. The dancing and music were thrilling. The ballet seemed to me a fairy-tale. I had never seen anything more wonderful. My friend also enjoyed every minute of it. When the curtain fell at the end of the performance, there came a storm of applause. It seemed that it would never end. The dancers received call after call. They were presented with large bouquets of flowers. We also applauded enthusiastically. The performance was a great success.

Мы купили билеты заранее, и пришли в театр за полчаса до шоу. Ровно в 7 началось представление. С первой же минуты я был глубоко впечатлен всем, что видел на сцене. Костюмы были хороши. Танцы и музыка были захватывающими. Балет показался мне сказкой. Я никогда не видел ничего прекраснее. Мой друг и я наслаждались каждой минутой. Когда занавес опустился в конце спектакля, раздался взрыв аплодисментов. Казалось, что этому не будет конца. Танцоров вызывали снова и снова. Им подарили большие букеты цветов. Мы также аплодировали с энтузиазмом. Спектакль имел большой успех.

Я люблю эту группу из-за хороших текстов и необычных музыкальных решений. Эта группа была основана в 1996 году. Онивыпустили 9 альбомов. Мне нравятся все их песни без исключения. Моя любимая песня – это “In The End”. В этой группе 6 человек: Честер Беннингтон, Майк Шинода, Роб Бёрдон, Дэвид Фарелл, Брэд Дэлсон и Джо Хан. Я всегда восхищалась людьми, которые сочиняют музыку и пишут стихи. Я думаю, что такие люди очень талантливы. Также, я верю, что они могут рисовать картины и паказывать их чувства с помощью их музыки или стихов. Они могут заставить вас плакать или смеяться. Больше того, они могут заставить вас думать о глобальных проблемах, или ты можешь лежать и мечтать в то время, как слушаешь музыку.
Мне кажется, что мы не можем жить без музыки. Мой дивиз: “Тишина убивает!”. Что касается меня, я всегда слушаю музыку, когда я счастлива или когда у меня плохое настроение. Она помогает мне в моей повседневной жизни. Я слушаю музыку всегда: дома, в автобусе, на улице.
В наши дни существует расслабляющая музыка, которую мы используем в медицине. Более полезна, чем другие виды музыки, классическая музыка таких известных композиторов, как Бах, Бетховен, Моцарт и Вивальди.
Музыка везде! Она на телевидении, на радио, во всех фильмах! Можете ли вы представить любое кино без музыки?! Конечно же нет. Что если бы вы смотрели телевизор без звука, что если бы вы видели балет без музыки, что если бы вы слышали голоса без мелодии в опере? Наша жизнь была бы скучной без музыки.
