A living room is the biggest one in our flat. It has a long table with several chairs round in the middle. To the right of the table, there is a big wall unit with a wardrobe and different shelves. Opposite the table, an occasional table with a TV set on it stands from one side. There is a cozy sofa with two arm chairs from the other side. The floor is covered with a beautiful carpet with patterns. The pictures are hanging on the walls.
My parents’ bedroom is cozy and spacious. There is a bed with two dressing tables and small lamps on each of them.
My room is the smallest one. It’s very cozy and bright. It has a desk, an armchair, a wardrobe and a bed. My wooden shelves are overflowed with books, because I like to read. There is also a computer on my desk.
Our kitchen is big enough. In the middle it has a dining-table with chairs. Opposite it, there is a cupboard with cooking utensils. The kitchen has a refrigerator to the right of cupboard and a sink to the left. Our kitchen is well-equipped. It has a toaster, a food processor, a microwave and a coffee maker. We like to spend evenings in our cozy kitchen, to drink tea and talk.
I like my flat very much as it is one of some places, where I feel peaceful.

The curtains on the window match the colour of the wallpaper. The floor is covered with wall-to-wall carpeting so I can watch TV or do my homework sitting on the floor. Opposite the window there is a wall unit with lots of books, a TV-set and a video cassette recorder. To the right of the door there is a big round table with five chairs. Opposite the table there is a sofa and two comfortable armchairs. We like to sit there and watch TV in the evening. In the middle of the room there is a coffee table with a hanging lamp above it. In the right-hand corner there is a sideboard with plates, dishes, cups and saucers. The room looks rather cosy. We like it best of all, because in the evenings we gather there to have tea or coffee, watch TV, read a newspaper, talk to each other and rest.
My parents’ room is smaller than the living-room and not so light as the window is not so broad. To the left of the door there is a big bed. At the foot of the bed there is a bedside cabinet with bedroom lamp on it. Opposite the bed there is a chest of drawers, where my mother keeps bedclothes. The walls are green, so are the curtains. Green is my mother’s favourite colour that is why she prefers green to other colours.
Our kitchen is small. So I wish it were a little bit larger. My mother decorated it to her own taste. However it is planned in such a way as to make good housekeeping easy. Everything is spick and span in it. Our kitchen is very well equipped. We have a great variety of electric appliances of any kind: a gas-stove with an electric oven, a microwave oven, a dish-washing machine, cooker hood and a refrigerator. We also have a special fridge to keep food cool in hot weather. To the left of the door there is a square table where we usually have meals. When we have a party we lay the big table in the living-room. Opposite the table there is a cupboard, where we keep spoons, forks, knives, saucepans, frying pans and plates. In the right-hand corner there is a drink cupboard. The floor of the kitchen is covered with linoleum because it is the most convenient variant for the kitchen. My father is very fond of sitting in the kitchen with a bottle of fresh beer and watching a small TV-set that stands near the gas-stove. Sometimes I invite my friends and we sit in the kitchen drinking tea and talking for hours.
The bathroom is next to the kitchen. We have hot and cold water in the tap, a shower and a bath. There is also a washing-machine opposite the bath. Near the washing-machine we have a hamper and bathroom scales. The walls of the bathroom are faced with green Dutch tiles.
Next to the bathroom is a toilet.
It is a pity our hall is very small. There is only place for a chest of drawers for shoes and a coat rack and for a built-in wardrobe with coat-hangers to hang clothes on.
My room is the smallest one but I like it very much. First of all because it is my own room and secondly because it is very cosy and light. I furnished it myself. There is a writing table at the window, where I would do my homework every day. To the left of the door there is wardrobe for my clothes and shoes. In the left-hand corner there is my bed with a bedside table at its head. Near the writing table there is a computer table with my computer on it. But the thing I really enjoy is a big mirror near my bed. There are actually some chairs in my room. The walls are pink and they match the colour of the curtains on the window. There is a thick carpet on the floor and I like to read books sitting on it. On the walls there are some posters of my favourite musicians, photos and water-colours. I like my room as it is but from time to time I change it round. Quite often I move the bed and the table and change some posters on the walls. Sometimes I like to stay alone in my room, especially when I’m in a bad mood. Generally I’m pleased with my room but I wish I had a small TV-set, because I’m tired of soap operas that my parents use to watch.
In conclusion I’d like to say that we try our best to make our flat cosy and comfortable. Frankly speaking I wish our flat were a bit larger, but generally I like it as it is. Перевод:

Our study is the smallest room in the flat, but in spice of it, it is very cozy. There isn’t much furniture in it, but there are a lot of shelves full of books. It has a writing table, an armchair and a bookcase too. A small round table with cassette-recorder is standing in the right-hand corner of the study. Besides there is a small sofa near the wall opposite the bookcase. This room was my father’s study, but as I grew older, it has become my room. And in my opinion it is the best room in our flat. with a radio is standing in the left-hand corner. Near it there
is a sofa with some cushions. In my opinion, the study is the
best room in our flat.
But the warmest
place in our flat is the kitchen, I think — the place where the
whole family gathers every evening not only to have supper
together, but also to speak and rest. I like the English
proverb: “My home is my castle” because my flat is, indeed, my

We usually use our sitting-room to entertain guests and it is my favourite room in the flat because it is always nice and cheerful. We are fortunate that we have very nice neighbors surrounding us so this makes living in a flat very easy and enjoyable.

It consists of one bedroom for my parents, one large living-room and a study, which is also my room. Besides, there is a spacious kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The biggest room in our flat is the living-room. It has many useful functions. For example, we can watch TV there or have family dinners. At other times we welcome guests there and they can even stay overnight. We have a large sofa in the living-room, which can be transformed into a bed. My parents’ bedroom is also quite spacious. It’s a big room with two king size beds, two bedside tables, two lamps and a wardrobe. The study is not as big as other rooms in our flat, but despite this, it’s very cozy. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary things, such as a desk, a chair, a lamp, some book shelves, my bed and a cabinet. This room used to be my father’s study, but when I grew up it became my room. We don’t keep any pets in the flat, but there is a large aquarium in the hall where we have a lot of exotic and colourful fish. I like my flat very much. I think it’s a good place to live in. We are also lucky with neighbours.
We have an elevator in our communal entrance hall. We live on the seventh floor, that’s why we’re glad that we needn’t to walk up.

In the right-hand corner there is a sideboard with plates, dishes, cups and saucers. The room looks rather cosy. We like it best of all, because in the evenings we gather there to have tea or coffee, watch TV, read a newspaper, talk to each other and rest.
My parents’ room is smaller than the living-room and not so light as the window is not so broad. To the left of the door there is a big bed. At the foot of the bed there is a bedside cabinet with bedroom lamp on it. Opposite the bed there is a chest of drawers, where my mother keeps bedclothes. The walls are green, so are the curtains. Green is my mother’s favourite colour that is why she prefers green to other colours.
Our kitchen is small. So I wish it were a little bit larger. My mother decorated it to her own taste. However it is planned in such a way as to make good housekeeping easy. Everything is spick and span in it. Our kitchen is very well equipped. We have a great variety of electric appliances of any kind: a gas-stove with an electric oven, a microwave oven, a dish-washing machine, cooker hood and a refrigerator. We also have a special fridge to keep food cool in hot weather. To the left of the door there is a square table where we usually have meals. When we have a party we lay the big table in the living-room. Opposite the table there is a cupboard, where we keep spoons, forks, knives, saucepans, frying pans and plates. In the right-hand corner there is a drink cupboard. The floor of the kitchen is covered with linoleum because it is the most convenient variant for the kitchen. My father is very fond of sitting in the kitchen with a bottle of fresh beer and watching a small TV-set that stands near the gas-stove. Sometimes I invite my friends and we sit in the kitchen drinking tea and talking for hours.
The bathroom is next to the kitchen. We have hot and cold water in the tap, a shower and a bath. There is also a washing-machine opposite the bath. Near the washing-machine we have a hamper and bathroom scales. The walls of the bathroom are faced with green Dutch tiles.
Next to the bathroom is a toilet.
It is a pity our hall is very small. There is only place for a chest of drawers for shoes and a coat rack and for a built-in wardrobe with coat-hangers to hang clothes on.
My room is the smallest one but I like it very much. First of all because it is my own room and secondly because it is very cosy and light. I furnished it myself. There is a writing table at the window, where I would do my homework every day. To the left of the door there is wardrobe for my clothes and shoes. In the left-hand corner there is my bed with a bedside table at its head. Near the writing table there is a computer table with my computer on it. But the thing I really enjoy is a big mirror near my bed. There are actually some chairs in my room. The walls are pink and they match the colour of the curtains on the window. There is a thick carpet on the floor and I like to read books sitting on it. On the walls there are some posters of my favourite musicians, photos and water-colours. I like my room as it is but from time to time I change it round. Quite often I move the bed and the table and change some posters on the walls. Sometimes I like to stay alone in my room, especially when I’m in a bad mood. Generally I’m pleased with my room but I wish I had a small TV-set, because I’m tired of soap operas that my parents use to watch.
In conclusion I’d like to say that we try our best to make our flat cosy and comfortable. Frankly speaking I wish our flat were a bit larger, but generally I like it as it is.

The living-room is the largest and most comfortable one in the flat. In the middle of the room we have a square dinner-table with six chairs round it. To the left of the dinner-table there is a wall-unit which has several sections: a sideboard, a wardrobe and some shelves. At the opposite wall there is a piano and a piano stool before it. It has a writing table, an armchair and a bookcase too. A small round table with cassette-recorder is standing in the right-hand corner of the study. Besides there is a small sofa near the wall opposite the bookcase. This room was my father’s study, but as I grew older, it has become my room. And in my opinion it is the best room in our flat. My friends used to come to my place to have a chat or to play chess in the evening, and they say my room is very comfortable. I share their opinion.

У нас уютная трёхкомнатная квартира. Она состоит из одной спальни для моих родителей, одной большой гостиной и рабочего кабинета, который также является моей комнатой. Помимо этого, есть просторная кухня, ванная комната и туалет. Самая большая комната в нашей квартире – это гостиная. У неё много полезных функций. Например, мы можем смотреть в ней телевизор или проводить семейные ужины. В другие времена мы принимаем там гостей, и они могут даже оставаться с ночевкой. У нас есть большой диван в гостиной, который может трансформироваться в кровать. Спальня моих родителей также довольно просторная. Это большая комната с двуспальной кроватью, двумя тумбочками, двумя ночниками и одним шкафом для одежды. Рабочий кабинет не такой большой, как другие комнаты в нашей квартире, но, несмотря на это, очень уютный. В нем нет много мебели, только самые необходимые вещи, такие как рабочий стол, стул, лампа, несколько книжных полок, моя кровать и шкаф. Эта комната раньше была рабочим кабинетом моего отца, но когда я выросла, она стала моей комнатой. Мы не держим никаких домашних животных в квартире, но в коридоре есть большой аквариум с множеством экзотичных и красочных рыб. Мне очень нравится моя квартира. Я думаю, это отличное место для проживания. С соседями нам также повезло.
My Flat. My name is Andrew. My family and I live in Yekaterinburg. We live in a nice flat in a modern block of flats. Our flat is on the third floor of the nine-storied building, which contains all modern facilities starting from central heating and ending with lift and rubbish chute. We have a cozy three-room flat. It consists of one bedroom for my parents, one large living-room and a study, which is also my room. Besides, there is a spacious kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The biggest room in our flat is the living-room. It has many useful functions. For example, we can watch TV there or have family dinners. At other times we welcome guests there and they can even stay overnight. We have a large sofa in the living-room, which can be transformed into a bed. My parents’ bedroom is also quite spacious. It’s a big room with two king size beds, two bedside tables, two lamps and a wardrobe. The study is not as big as other rooms in our flat, but despite this, it’s very cozy. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary things, such as a desk, a chair, a lamp, some book shelves, my bed and a cabinet. This room used to be my father’s study, but when I grew up it became my room. We don’t keep any pets in the flat, but there is a large aquarium in the hall where we have a lot of exotic and colourful fish. I like my flat very much. I think it’s a good place to live in. We are also lucky with neighbours.
