Any ideal job is destination and self-realization of man. This work implements his ability, satisfies the requirements, fulfills a wish and meets the rhythm of life.
An ideal job just fits into the personal characteristics of a person. It enables a person to be in place and do the job.
Nowadays, most people choose for a more profitable job, ignoring their interests. In pursuit of money people do an uninteresting and unfavourite job, of course, its quality suffers. It should not be so. Work should not be a routine.
If you do what you like, you will be successful.
This is the job of my dream.
It leaves enough time for family, recreation, self-development and is paid adequately. This job is with the change of activity: with a certain balance of mental and physical activity, favorable to health and the environment. It stores, enhances and promotes spiritual, personal and professional growth. An ideal job allows me to communicate with people and brings social benefits. It is reliable, constant and brings the pleasure of the process and the outcome.
My ideal work is the work which gives a pleasure.

After all, from what decision I will take today, my entire future life, material security and social status will depend. Unfortunately, it happens like this: you start learning or working and understand that you have chosen the wrong way for yourself. Nobody is immune from mistakes, so before making a final decision, you need to analyze all the options, weigh all the pros and cons. Choosing a faculty for admission to a higher education institution, I know for sure that it will be technical! Most likely, it will be “Industrial and civil construction”. I’m attracted to the work of the creator, the creator, namely the engineer-designer. An engineer who is able to make his own decisions, confirming them with engineering calculations, and also introducing his solutions into real objects – buildings and structures erected for many years.
I think that it will be interesting for me to study, since this specialty contains the creative elements necessary for the design of buildings, engineering skills for calculating building structures and building production. At present, the demand for design engineers is quite high. They can get jobs both in public and private repair and construction companies. The inalienable qualities of a good engineer, in my opinion, are initiative, independence, ability to make decisions, creative approach to work and, most importantly, love for people, for their work.
It is important for any of us to find our place in this world, to live and work and feel a part of a modern and progressive society. From the very childhood our parents teach us to study at school well, to get only good notes in order to go after that to a college and become a good specialist in some area. And it is actually a right way of thinking, as our job determines our living and personal character. That is why it is so important to choose an area of activity that would fit perfectly to you.
My perfect place of activity would be at some large industrial company, producing electrical part s for automobiles. I would work on planning how many people does a factory needs, which and how many equipments would be involved in the production process. I find this interesting to work in a big company dealing with big number of employees and having many production processes. I would like to be in the center of any problem resolving and take part in administration meetings where they discuss different problems and claims.
Of course it would be better if I would be a leader of a department, like a technical one. I would administrate different activities of employees, engage people and take part in their personal and professional development. I think it is interesting to be leader of a certain community of people, although it supposes big responsibility and much work. A good leader must be confident in making decisions and at the same time good and loyal to people he is responsible for. In any group of people sometimes conflicts happen and the main goal of a leader is to resolve them without hurting someone seriously. It takes time to become an experienced and wise leader, but I think I am ready to go in this direction and develop myself and prepare myself to be best leader ever.

Every person has imagination. Thanks to this ability we can dream. At first, our dreams are small and simple. For example, every kid dreams to have a candy or to get a small toy as a present. When people grow up, their wishes change so their dreams change with them. We realize that to make our dreams come true we have to be smart, a little bit witty, successful and to work hard as well.
So let me tell you about the evolution of my dream. When I was 4 or 5 I dreamed of riding my own bike. At the age of 8, I dreamt of a kitten. Then my dream was to attend ballet classes. At the age of 14, my ultimate dream was to visit a concert of my favourite band. Nowadays, my dream is to travel. I’d like to see other countries and to explore them. I’ve always been keen on learning new languages, cultures and traditions.
I wish to visit Scotland. It is a land of highlands. Scotland is a part of the UK and it borders with England at the south. It is washed by seas, channels and the Atlantic Ocean. Edinburgh is the second largest city of the country but it is the most visited place. People say it’s a beautiful city worth seeing. The national symbol of Scotland is the floral emblem of thistle. And, the national flag of Scotland with St. Andrew’s Cross.
I’m especially interested in seeing the Scottish Highlands as I know it’s a magnificent place. The highest mountain in the British Isles Ben Nevis is located there. While being in Scotland, I would also try to improve my English speaking skills. However Scottish people speak with a distinct dialect and accent, I would very much like to hear their speech. I would also like to visit the country during the annual Edinburgh Festival. I think this way I can learn more about the culture of local people. I have some other minor dreams as well. It is true that people work in order to receive money. But do they have other reasons to work? I strongly believe that money is not the only one goal which forces us to get a job. In my view, people also work because they need a social environment and because at work they can develop their skills and realized their wishes.
First of all, people need to be around other people because we are social creatures. In fact, a person always belongs to a particular social group throughout his life – a kindergarten, a school, and finally, a work. A job means not only working but also interacting with others, sharing, gossiping, even making friends. Also I have some friends who would like to stay at home and depend on their spouses or relatives, they are more likely an exception not a rule. As for me, even though I like and need vacations and holidays, I am getting bored if I don’t have my work for a long time. Moreover, two of my best friends I met at work.
Besides, work is an important tool of developing a person’s character. It gives us an opportunity to apply and develop our skills, to broad our minds and, the most important, through our job we often are able to realize our dreams. For example, I always enjoyed mathematics in school and in the university because I have an analytical mind. It was my favorite subject and I always had excellent grades. As a result, after I had graduated I chose a job in this field and started to work as an economist. I not only use my mathematical skill in my job but also I have got a chance to improve my knowledge and learn new things which is very exciting and makes me love my job. There are many other examples why people like their job. One of my friends can not imagine her life without her work because she adores animals and she works as a veterinarian. She often told me that she her work is more a hobby for her because all these cats and dogs make her very happy. Also, she can not have a pet at home because her husband has an allergy so her work makes her dream become true.
In conclusion, even though money is an important reason why people go for work, it is not the only one. In my opinion, people also work because they need a social environment and because they need to realize themselves.

Many years ago, when I was a small child, I admired adventures. The best thing about going on an adventure is that it is really exciting, filled with thrill and danger. And, I know it is a bit cliche, but danger is my middle name. Another good thing about adventure is the sights you see, the beautiful forests, and the castles… so many wonderful castles that have numerous ancient tales about knights and dragons.
But like every human has his disadvantages, going on adventures has its bad sides too. In all the thrill and danger, many have lost their lives.
And so ‘through the darkness and night a beam of light appears and the Dovahkiin comes,’ as the legend says. One day, a man shall appear and repel all the evil, he’ll kill all the foes of his land. But more importantly, he will win, he will conquer all the obstacles and get to his goal. And, by following his steps, I will become an adventurer for sure.
My future profession
A child usually dreams to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter or even an astronaut in the future. These professions are very important, so it is wonderful when child’s dream comes true and he or she becomes an expert in the particular field, for example, in medicine.
I think that everyone should work. It may be easy or difficult work, well-paid or low-paid. However, what is even more important is that the work must bring the joy. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

My Dream
We all love to dream. In our childhood we had a lot of dreams and goals. They have changed much since then and have become more complicated and serious because our priorities have changed too. Now we realize that to make our dreams come true we have to be smart and successful and to work hard as well.
My father always taught me to explore the world with inquisitive eyes and a curious mind, constantly seeking to learn more and more, to understand more. That’s why my ultimate dream is to travel around the world, learn foreign languages and hopefully move to a sunny and warm place some day. I’d like to explore new cultures, traditions, business and cuisine. Travelling can be an invaluable experience for me, it can broaden my knowledge and help me to make friends with people from other countries. I think that my dreams are not just dreams, they are quite real if I don’t give up and move towards their fulfillment. Our dreams are in our hands, I’m sure.
I have another cherished dream which is more global, of course. I want to stop poverty on our Earth, to provide poor people with shelter and food, with proper education, clothes and water. I know that it’s not so easy. I want to support children and old people with essential things for life and health and I hope to stop their tears one day.

Some people imagine they have a lot of money, their own house, an expensive car. Other people imagine themselves to be presidents of different firms or corporations. Children often dream of having a new toy or a gadget.
My Dream and its Evolution
When I was 5 or 6 I wanted very much to ride my own bike. At the age of 8 I dreamt of a pet. Later my dream was to join a sport section. At the age of 14 a modern iPad became my ultimate dream. Nowadays, my biggest dream is to travel.
My cherished dream is to visit Great Britain someday. I have always been interested in learning English, the British culture and traditions. There are a lot of wonderful sights there. And I would like to see everything with my own eyes.
If I had an opportunity, I would go to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. I would visit the Tower of London and feed the ravens.
I would also visit the London parks because I have read, they are so beautiful. In Hyde Park, I would visit the Speakers’ corner. In Regent’s Park I would visit the London Zoo.
Of course, I have some other dreams, too. But to travel to Great Britain is my biggest dream for today.
My weekday starts at 6.30 in the morning when my alarm-clock rings. I am not an early bird, so it takes me a couple of minutes before I get out of my bed, especially in winter. I leave home early, at 8.00 to avoid the rush-hour traffic as I start my work at 9 o’clock.
I work in an office as a secretary for a big building corporation. It’s a Russian well-established company. I found this job 4 years ago through an employment agency.
The office is in the centre of the city. I usually get there by bus. I spend most of the time working at the computer. My usual duties are typing documents, preparing them for our managing director, answering phone calls and arranging business appointments. I am also responsible for giving new correspondence and fresh newspapers to the managing director, sending faxes or e-mails. Sometimes I translate letters from English into Russian. I am in charge of greeting visitors and offering them tea or coffee too. It is also my duty to arrange travel and hotel accommodation for the boss’s convenient business trips.
We have lunch at 1 o’clock and I usually go to a cafe which is situated in the next building. If I am not too busy I can have one or two short coffee-breaks during the day. I work full-time from Monday to Friday, so I am in my office until 5 p.m. At the end of every day I get new tasks and take notes for the next day from the managing director and ask him some possible questions.
I can’t say that my job is very interesting, sometimes it’s monotonous or stressful but I like meeting a lot of new people there, learning new ideas and communicating. I think that to apply for my job one needs good communication skills, the ability to work in a team under pressure and handle difficult situations without any assistance. Any ideal job is destination and self-realization of man. This work implements his ability, satisfies the requirements, fulfills a wish and meets the rhythm of life.
An ideal job just fits into the personal characteristics of a person. It enables a person to be in place and do the job.
Nowadays, most people choose for a more profitable job, ignoring their interests. In pursuit of money people do an uninteresting and unfavourite job, of course, its quality suffers. It should not be so. Work should not be a routine.
If you do what you like, you will be successful.
This is the job of my dream.
It leaves enough time for family, recreation, self-development and is paid adequately. This job is with the change of activity: with a certain balance of mental and physical activity, favorable to health and the environment. It stores, enhances and promotes spiritual, personal and professional growth. An ideal job allows me to communicate with people and brings social benefits. It is reliable, constant and brings the pleasure of the process and the outcome.

My perfect place of activity would be at some large industrial company, producing electrical part s for automobiles. I would work on planning how many people does a factory needs, which and how many equipments would be involved in the production process. I find this interesting to work in a big company dealing with big number of employees and having many production processes. I would like to be in the center of any problem resolving and take part in administration meetings where they discuss different problems and claims.
Of course it would be better if I would be a leader of a department, like a technical one. I would administrate different activities of employees, engage people and take part in their personal and professional development. I think it is interesting to be leader of a certain community of people, although it supposes big responsibility and much work. A good leader must be confident in making decisions and at the same time good and loyal to people he is responsible for. In any group of people sometimes conflicts happen and the main goal of a leader is to resolve them without hurting someone seriously. It takes time to become an experienced and wise leader, but I think I am ready to go in this direction and develop myself and prepare myself to be best leader ever.

In fact, a person always belongs to a particular social group throughout his life – a kindergarten, a school, and finally, a work. A job means not only working but also interacting with others, sharing, gossiping, even making friends. Also I have some friends who would like to stay at home and depend on their spouses or relatives, they are more likely an exception not a rule. As for me, even though I like and need vacations and holidays, I am getting bored if I don’t have my work for a long time. Moreover, two of my best friends I met at work.
Besides, work is an important tool of developing a person’s character. It gives us an opportunity to apply and develop our skills, to broad our minds and, the most important, through our job we often are able to realize our dreams. For example, I always enjoyed mathematics in school and in the university because I have an analytical mind. It was my favorite subject and I always had excellent grades. As a result, after I had graduated I chose a job in this field and started to work as an economist. I not only use my mathematical skill in my job but also I have got a chance to improve my knowledge and learn new things which is very exciting and makes me love my job. There are many other examples why people like their job. One of my friends can not imagine her life without her work because she adores animals and she works as a veterinarian. She often told me that she her work is more a hobby for her because all these cats and dogs make her very happy. Also, she can not have a pet at home because her husband has an allergy so her work makes her dream become true.
In conclusion, even though money is an important reason why people go for work, it is not the only one. In my opinion, people also work because they need a social environment and because they need to realize themselves.

Instead they should try to volunteer or to participate in internship programs. This way they can gain necessary skills and experience.

But like every human has his disadvantages, going on adventures has its bad sides too. In all the thrill and danger, many have lost their lives.

My future profession
A child usually dreams to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter or even an astronaut in the future. These professions are very important, so it is wonderful when child’s dream comes true and he or she becomes an expert in the particular field, for example, in medicine.
I think that everyone should work. It may be easy or difficult work, well-paid or low-paid. However, what is even more important is that the work must bring the joy. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

Ребенок обычно мечтает стать в будущем врачом, учителем, пожарным или даже космонавтом. Эти профессии очень важны, поэтому замечательно, когда мечта ребенка сбывается и он или она становится специалистом в определенной сфере деятельности, например, в медицине.
Я думаю, что каждый человек должен работать. Это может быть легкая или сложная работа, хорошо оплачиваемая или низкооплачиваемая. Однако, что еще важнее: работа должна приносить радость. Конечно, зарплата играет значимую роль в наши дни, но если вы не довольны своей работой, зарплата будет значить для вас уже не так много. В этом случае вы должны найти что-то другое, то, что заставит вас улыбнуться. Эта работа даже может стать всего лишь небольшим дополнением к вашей основной профессии.
Моя мечта – это стать в будущем устным переводчиком. Почему я выбрала именно эту профессию? Ответ довольно прост. Я люблю изучать иностранные языки и культуры. Когда я изучаю новый иностранный язык, для меня словно открывается новый мир, в котором я могу найти что-то необычное, уникальное, увлекательное или даже странное, но это замечательный опыт.
Профессия переводчика дает возможность познакомиться с новыми людьми из разных стран или социальных групп. Она учит вас принимать решения здесь и сейчас. Это тот опыт, который вы не можете получить, например, даже будучи письменным переводчиком. Это основная причина, почему я хочу быть именно устным переводчиком.
Я сделаю все возможное, чтобы стать устным переводчиком в будущем, потому что это та работа, которая может сделать меня счастливым.

My Dream
We all love to dream. In our childhood we had a lot of dreams and goals. They have changed much since then and have become more complicated and serious because our priorities have changed too. Now we realize that to make our dreams come true we have to be smart and successful and to work hard as well.
My father always taught me to explore the world with inquisitive eyes and a curious mind, constantly seeking to learn more and more, to understand more. That’s why my ultimate dream is to travel around the world, learn foreign languages and hopefully move to a sunny and warm place some day. I’d like to explore new cultures, traditions, business and cuisine. Travelling can be an invaluable experience for me, it can broaden my knowledge and help me to make friends with people from other countries. I think that my dreams are not just dreams, they are quite real if I don’t give up and move towards their fulfillment. Our dreams are in our hands, I’m sure.
I have another cherished dream which is more global, of course. I want to stop poverty on our Earth, to provide poor people with shelter and food, with proper education, clothes and water. I know that it’s not so easy. I want to support children and old people with essential things for life and health and I hope to stop their tears one day.

My Dream and its Evolution
When I was 5 or 6 I wanted very much to ride my own bike. At the age of 8 I dreamt of a pet. Later my dream was to join a sport section. At the age of 14 a modern iPad became my ultimate dream. Nowadays, my biggest dream is to travel.
My cherished dream is to visit Great Britain someday. I have always been interested in learning English, the British culture and traditions. There are a lot of wonderful sights there. And I would like to see everything with my own eyes.
If I had an opportunity, I would go to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. I would visit the Tower of London and feed the ravens.
I would also visit the London parks because I have read, they are so beautiful. In Hyde Park, I would visit the Speakers’ corner. In Regent’s Park I would visit the London Zoo.
Of course, I have some other dreams, too. But to travel to Great Britain is my biggest dream for today.
My weekday starts at 6.30 in the morning when my alarm-clock rings. I am not an early bird, so it takes me a couple of minutes before I get out of my bed, especially in winter. I leave home early, at 8.00 to avoid the rush-hour traffic as I start my work at 9 o’clock.
I work in an office as a secretary for a big building corporation. It’s a Russian well-established company. I found this job 4 years ago through an employment agency.
The office is in the centre of the city. I usually get there by bus. I spend most of the time working at the computer. My usual duties are typing documents, preparing them for our managing director, answering phone calls and arranging business appointments. I am also responsible for giving new correspondence and fresh newspapers to the managing director, sending faxes or e-mails. Sometimes I translate letters from English into Russian. I am in charge of greeting visitors and offering them tea or coffee too. It is also my duty to arrange travel and hotel accommodation for the boss’s convenient business trips.
We have lunch at 1 o’clock and I usually go to a cafe which is situated in the next building. If I am not too busy I can have one or two short coffee-breaks during the day. I work full-time from Monday to Friday, so I am in my office until 5 p.m. At the end of every day I get new tasks and take notes for the next day from the managing director and ask him some possible questions.
I can’t say that my job is very interesting, sometimes it’s monotonous or stressful but I like meeting a lot of new people there, learning new ideas and communicating. I think that to apply for my job one needs good communication skills, the ability to work in a team under pressure and handle difficult situations without any assistance. I understand that my job is not prestigious and I have to climb the career ladder, that is why I am the third-year student at the university now and I am going to graduate from it in two years and become an accountant.
