To my mind it`s bad for a person to have money. If you have a little money you want more and more and all what you live for is to save up money. Now days you can see the whole world, if you have money. And I can`t but say about medicine. Our free medicine leaves much to be desired, that is why if you want to be cured you have to pay money. What is more rich people can afford education in any country of the world and at any university. It gives great opportunity. And of cause you can`t have family without money.
To sum it up I want to say another wisdom: «nothing mustbe too much». A lot of money does not bring happiness, but happiness is impossible without money.

Money has been the most disputable matter throughout the human history. What is money for? And when did it appear?
Money is a universal means of payment and a means of exchange. It appeared thousands of years ago. First people used things like animal skin and precious metals as money. But it wasn’t easy to carry and store them. The money we use nowadays is made of paper and cheap metals. They are banknotes and coins of different value.
Everybody uses money in our modern world. We all need money, we think about it and work for it. It is difficult to imagine today’s life without banknotes and coins, credit cards and cash. Modern technologies have influenced the way of payment: and plastic cards are becoming more and more popular today and they can be accepted even abroad. It’s really convenient and safe for travelers because you don’t have to carry the money in your wallet or exchange the currency in order to make purchases in foreign countries.
We need money to live and buy desired things and services. We can’t travel around the world, buy a car, rent an office, use the Internet or just buy food and clothes without money. People who earn much money can afford luxury goods: expensive cars and fantastic mansions, precious stones and unique works of art. The more money you earn, the more products you can buy. We must admit that being a millionaire is always dangerous. Rich people spend a lot on security because they are often robbed, kidnapped and even killed.
To my mind, money and happiness are not synonyms. Money doesn’t always mean well-being and prosperity. Sometimes money ruins people’s lives and destroys families. People who value material things only, who care too much about money cannot be happy. Happiness depends both on material and spiritual things. And you can’t buy health, love or true friends with money.

Different countries have different currencies, for example, rubles in Russia, yuan in China or dollars in the United States of America. Modern money is a special piece of paper or a coin. A government declares it as legal tender, so money derives its value.

In ancient times money could be made of shell, teeth or feathers, for example. However, such money could be easily faked. People tried using noble metals to avoid it. Besides, they used scales to weigh money to identify whether it is true or not. People invented different money systems.

People often think that money equals happiness. However, it is not always like that. Happiness is a complicated concept which depends on things that surround the person. These things can be both material and spiritual. For example, love, health and care can’t be bought. A lot of examples prove that. Truly rich people still face serious illnesses. Others feel very lonely despite millions of people around them.

Rolling in money, without having a person with whom one can share it, being a man of property, deprived of love, respect and appreciation, is the worst mistake ever! Just recall the destiny of Gogol’s Plyushkin. He was rich but greedy and died alone.
The next bright example is Pushkin’s Covetous Knight. A great amount of money didn’t bring happiness to him too; he died on the chest full of gold coins.
To sum up, I want to say that money is a means which gives a lot of opportunities. But it is not a value, for the sake of which one should sacrifice something. “Money often costs too much”, — said Ralph Waldo Emerson. “It is no use in sacrificing something vital, hoping to gain something excessive”, — claimed Pushkin in his “Queen of Spades”. So, do not forget about such inestimable notions as love, family, health and life itself. They stand above price; money means nothing in comparison with them.

But I personally think that this statement is not true.
It is a well-known fact that everything in life has its own price. And money is a reward for our work that allows us to enjoy good things in life. Sure, money cannot buy true friends, real love or happiness, but it can give you a sense of financial security, remove the worry of being unable to feed yourself or fear of losing your house. Moreover, money can also be used to help people who cannot help themselves, for example, people with serious health problems or victims of wars, floods or famine.
However, a lot of people believe that money spoils people’s lives. Money can easily become a person’s master if he puts material possessions above everything else. Usually making money becomes number one priority in such people’s lives. They work long hours every day and do not have time for family or friends, which often leads to loneliness and separated homes. Greed may also make people break laws and commit crimes in order to become rich.
In my view, money itself is harmless, it is nothing but the way people can exchange things. It is the love of money that can lead to evil.
To crown it all, I would like to say that despite the fact that in the pursuit of money people may feel miserable and exhausted of being unable to satisfy their greed, I am still convinced that money in the right hands can be a good servant.

I think it`s impossible to describe such idea as happiness. You can describe only your feelings, your condition.
You may become happy, when you simply watch somebody`s eyes and they show joy.
To my mind, happiness is when a person wants to fly up and embrace all our land.
Person is a strange being. He can remember harm for a long time, but he can forget good the next day. People create their lives themselves and they “paint” these lives in their own colours.
Some people have nothing. They don`t have wealth, but they are “open” and can share everything they have with other people.
People can be happy at any age, at any time.
Inner worlds of people are different that`s why they feel the happiness differently. For example, for me the sun is the happiness. It warms all people, gives life for nature. It is common. It is one for everybody. So, the more people feel this wonderful sensation, the richer they`ll be.

But it wasn’t easy to carry and store them. The money we use nowadays is made of paper and cheap metals. They are banknotes and coins of different value.
Everybody uses money in our modern world. We all need money, we think about it and work for it. It is difficult to imagine today’s life without banknotes and coins, credit cards and cash. Modern technologies have influenced the way of payment: and plastic cards are becoming more and more popular today and they can be accepted even abroad. It’s really convenient and safe for travelers because you don’t have to carry the money in your wallet or exchange the currency in order to make purchases in foreign countries.
We need money to live and buy desired things and services. We can’t travel around the world, buy a car, rent an office, use the Internet or just buy food and clothes without money. People who earn much money can afford luxury goods: expensive cars and fantastic mansions, precious stones and unique works of art. The more money you earn, the more products you can buy. We must admit that being a millionaire is always dangerous. Rich people spend a lot on security because they are often robbed, kidnapped and even killed.
To my mind, money and happiness are not synonyms. Money doesn’t always mean well-being and prosperity. Sometimes money ruins people’s lives and destroys families. People who value material things only, who care too much about money cannot be happy. Happiness depends both on material and spiritual things. And you can’t buy health, love or true friends with money.

Money is something without what we cannot imagine our life. It exists almost in all fields of the life. Money is something that is accepted as payment goods, services and so on. Different countries have different currencies, for example, rubles in Russia, yuan in China or dollars in the United States of America. Modern money is a special piece of paper or a coin. A government declares it as legal tender, so money derives its value.

In ancient times money could be made of shell, teeth or feathers, for example. However, such money could be easily faked. People tried using noble metals to avoid it. Besides, they used scales to weigh money to identify whether it is true or not. People invented different money systems.

With the development of technologies plastic cards become more and more popular. They allow you to pay for things without cash. Such cards as Visa and MasterCard are even accepted abroad. This is a very convenient way of payment as money is simply transferred from one account to another by the bank.
Can Money Buy Happiness?
Money has always been a characteristic of wealth. People have always tried to earn as much money as possible. The explanation to this is quite simple. The more money a person has, the more he or she can afford to buy.
People often think that money equals happiness. However, it is not always like that. Happiness is a complicated concept which depends on things that surround the person. These things can be both material and spiritual. For example, love, health and care can’t be bought. A lot of examples prove that. Truly rich people still face serious illnesses. Others feel very lonely despite millions of people around them.

Money doesn’t buy happiness but it helps at some extent. In other words, money is a method of exchange, which is presented by coins and notes. Almost every country has their currency nowadays. Most European countries use Euros and Dollars. However, the method of exchange was not always operated by money. Primitive societies used a system of barters. Barter is a direct exchange of goods without using money. People used to exchange cattle, grain, salt, tobacco, vegetables and other products to something of an equal value. However, they soon understood that barter wasn’t a perfect way of exchange, as peoples’ needs rarely coincided. Coins and paper money were invented in ancient China. First coins were made of copper with a hole in the middle, so that they could be put together like a chain. Later examples were made of gold, silver, lead, zinc, aluminum, nickel and other metals. Some ancient Chinese coins were even made of pressed tealeaves. The majority of modern coins contain images of famous people or important symbols of the country they present. Paper money is obviously easier to handle and much more convenient. Officially, the first paper money was used by the Bank of Sweden in 1661. Today, there are so many other ways to preserve money and to spend them. There are traveler’s cheques, credit cards, deposits, loans, etc. They gradually replace paper notes and coins. Some developed countries even have stores where cash is no longer accepted for security reasons.

Nowadays everyone understands that money is the means of achieving goals, getting a high social status and prestigious position. Today only a lazy person doesn’t want to work. But some people consider money to be irreplaceable, they are eager to earn more and more, sometimes even forgetting about themselves and, moreover, about near and dear ones. Some of us are obsessed by making a fortune. For the sake of money or business purposes parents deprive their children of love and care. But luxurious interior, new cars, brand-new fashionable clothes is not a substitution to real relationships.
Rolling in money, without having a person with whom one can share it, being a man of property, deprived of love, respect and appreciation, is the worst mistake ever! Just recall the destiny of Gogol’s Plyushkin. He was rich but greedy and died alone.
The next bright example is Pushkin’s Covetous Knight. A great amount of money didn’t bring happiness to him too; he died on the chest full of gold coins.
To sum up, I want to say that money is a means which gives a lot of opportunities. But it is not a value, for the sake of which one should sacrifice something. “Money often costs too much”, — said Ralph Waldo Emerson. “It is no use in sacrificing something vital, hoping to gain something excessive”, — claimed Pushkin in his “Queen of Spades”. So, do not forget about such inestimable notions as love, family, health and life itself. They stand above price; money means nothing in comparison with them.

But I personally think that this statement is not true.
It is a well-known fact that everything in life has its own price. And money is a reward for our work that allows us to enjoy good things in life. Sure, money cannot buy true friends, real love or happiness, but it can give you a sense of financial security, remove the worry of being unable to feed yourself or fear of losing your house. Moreover, money can also be used to help people who cannot help themselves, for example, people with serious health problems or victims of wars, floods or famine.
However, a lot of people believe that money spoils people’s lives. Money can easily become a person’s master if he puts material possessions above everything else. Usually making money becomes number one priority in such people’s lives. They work long hours every day and do not have time for family or friends, which often leads to loneliness and separated homes. Greed may also make people break laws and commit crimes in order to become rich.
In my view, money itself is harmless, it is nothing but the way people can exchange things. It is the love of money that can lead to evil.
To crown it all, I would like to say that despite the fact that in the pursuit of money people may feel miserable and exhausted of being unable to satisfy their greed, I am still convinced that money in the right hands can be a good servant.

Это общеизвестный факт, что всё в жизни имеет цену. А деньги – это награда за нашу работу, которая позволяет нам наслаждаться прелестями жизни. Конечно, с помощью денег нельзя купить настоящих друзей, истинную любовь или счастье, но они могут дать чувство финансовой безопасности и избавить от невозможности прокормить себя или страха потерять дом. Более того, деньги также могут быть использованы для помощи людям, которые не в состоянии помочь себе самим, например, людям с серьёзными проблемами со здоровьем или жертвам войн, наводнений или голода.

I think it`s impossible to describe such idea as happiness. You can describe only your feelings, your condition.
You may become happy, when you simply watch somebody`s eyes and they show joy.
To my mind, happiness is when a person wants to fly up and embrace all our land.
Person is a strange being. He can remember harm for a long time, but he can forget good the next day. People create their lives themselves and they “paint” these lives in their own colours.
Some people have nothing. They don`t have wealth, but they are “open” and can share everything they have with other people.
People can be happy at any age, at any time.
Inner worlds of people are different that`s why they feel the happiness differently. For example, for me the sun is the happiness. It warms all people, gives life for nature. It is common. It is one for everybody. So, the more people feel this wonderful sensation, the richer they`ll be.
