I think it is very important for everyone to find their own style. Comfortable and appropriate clothes raise our self-confidence. People who wear nice and neat clothes are more likely to win our favour. To my mind, the material also plays a significant role. Clothes made of natural high-quality materials will be used for long. I am glad to say that I don’t pay so much attention to fashion and I am not its victim. I don’t care too much about what other people wear. The most important thing for me in the outlook is neatness, natural look and beauty. And it should certainly suit the occasion. I must admit that some fashionable clothes are quite ridiculous and unpractical. Fashion is a thing that we have to keep up with, whether you like it or not. Anyway it’s important to look attractive. But it doesn’t mean that you should be a fashion-conscious. It may turn to a waste of money. If a person doesn’t have good taste he is not able to put things together. Trendy people want to stand out in a crowd, but sometimes they don’t look stylish.
First of all, think clothes should suit you. If you have good taste you can buy a big range of styles and always look fashionable. But clothes should suit the occasion, and put you in the right mood for the day. But there are people who are not able bothered about fashion, they just want to stand out in a crowd by wearing something unusual, old-fashioned or trendy. Actually, I’m not such a person and I guess you should choose things according to your personality and character, and you’ll look well-dressed even if you wear something casual.
I like wearing different kinds of clothes, but certainly clothes should suit the occasion. When I plan what I’m going to wear I usually think what kind of meeting I have. At school we weren’t allowed to wear sport or bright clothes, we had to wear clothes of formal style. Usually I wore a jacket, a blouse and trousers or a skirt. But I didn’t like being dressed that way, as many other students. Really I prefer smart clothes to formal. Besides I enjoy wearing sport clothes, because I feel comfortable in it. Also on my list of likes there are jeans. One of my favourite colours is white, so I like white sweaters, tops and skirts. I usually wear high heeled shoes even if it’s not always comfortable or thick-soled boots. When I go out I always dress up, because I feel better that way. But when I have an official meeting I try to wear formal clothes.

I think it is very important for everyone to find their own style. Comfortable and appropriate clothes raise our self-confidence. People who wear nice and neat clothes are more likely to win our favour. To my mind, the material also plays a significant role. Clothes made of natural high-quality materials will be used for long. Sadly, if some parents are not able to afford buying trendy clothes with fashion labels, their kids often become outsiders. So clothes usually separate people into social groups.
In my opinion every person can have his own style and look unique. He should choose clothes according to his taste, age, job, constitution and character. I am glad to say that I don’t pay so much attention to fashion and I am not its victim. I don’t care too much about what other people wear. The most important thing for me in the outlook is neatness, natural look and beauty. And it should certainly suit the occasion. I must admit that some fashionable clothes are quite ridiculous and unpractical. There was a time, for instance, when young people wore baggy clothes, shoes on enormous platforms, red hair, black fingernails and bright make-up. To my mind, it was just a silly waste of money. Besides, if a person doesn’t have a good taste he is not able to put things together and look attractive and stylish even in fashionable clothes.

muscular sun-tanned guys. Moreover, children are reflections of
their parents. That is why most of teenagers adopt the same
style of garments that their parents wear. It is necessary to
mention that many teenagers rebel against their parents by
wearing outrageous clothes and hairstyles. This is especially
true for scandalous clothing and piercings. Besides, by wearing
a style associated with a particular group, many teenagers feel
they belong to that group. For instance, one of the latest
teenagers’ trends in fashion is the EMO style which is
characterized by a mixture of gothic and punk styles. Emos have
black dyed hair with brightly colored highlights and piercings
on weird places like lips, tongue or eyebrows. They prefer
brightly colored clothes, which help them to stand out in a
crowd.
Nowadays there
are many styles of clothing. So, clothes and colors should fit
the occasion when they are worn. In the wardrobe of every
teenager there should be casual clothing, school uniforms,
sportswear, house wear, sleeping garments and Sunday wear. For
instance, school uniforms should be simple and comfortable.
Students must shine with their knowledge and exert themselves
rather than organize a fashion show. School uniforms prevent
bullying among peers, because all the students are wearing the
same outfit and no one is left standing out. So, if your parents
can’t afford to spend 16,000 rubles on a pair of brand-name
jeans, there is no reason for worries anymore.
As far as I am
concerned, I prefer casual style in clothes. I tend to wear
jeans, T-shirts, sneakers and rompers. The most important thing
for me is to look stylish, no matter how much money I can spend
for my clothes. As is known, accessories have played a key role
in fashion since ancient times. So, if you want to be a
standout, simply put on attractive and appropriate fashion
accessories, such as bracelets, rings, necklaces or watches.
Besides, if you have a good hand in mixing different colors and
know much about latest trends in fashion, you can create unique
and chic fashion look yourself without the help of a
professional stylist.

Nowadays the word “fashion” is a synonym for beauty, style and glamour. Every shop offers a wide choice of fashionable clothes and it is hard to resist the temptation to buy something new. But is it all right to put so much attention to clothes?

Personally, I am sure that there are more important things in life than fashion. To my mind, people speak too much about it and waste a lot of money on clothes. I have a pair of jeans and I wear them every day. I think jeans are comfortable and cheap. I never go for the latest styles or buy very expensive clothes.

However, most teenagers say that clothes show their personality. Besides, they are the first thing people see when they meet them. Teenagers believe that clothes help them produce a favourable impression and they say they feel better when they are dressed well. Young people also use bright make-up, cut and dye their hair and carry different accessories such as bags, purses, glasses, jewellery, hats or scarves in order to attract attention. Some youngsters are fond of experimenting with their look and mixing styles. But I don’t think it is wise to become a fashion victim.

To conclude, I believe that clothes do not make the man. The main aim of clothes is to protect the human body from extreme weather, insects, chemicals and other hazards. The second aim is to attract attention and to indicate status. In my opinion, the main thing about clothes is comfort. As for beauty and style, they are less important.

Fashion is a thing that we have to keep up with, whether you like it or not. Anyway it’s important to look attractive. But it doesn’t mean that you should be a fashion-conscious. It may turn to a waste of money. If a person doesn’t have good taste he is not able to put things together. Trendy people want to stand out in a crowd, but sometimes they don’t look stylish.
First of all, think clothes should suit you. If you have good taste you can buy a big range of styles and always look fashionable. But clothes should suit the occasion, and put you in the right mood for the day. But there are people who are not able bothered about fashion, they just want to stand out in a crowd by wearing something unusual, old-fashioned or trendy. Actually, I’m not such a person and I guess you should choose things according to your personality and character, and you’ll look well-dressed even if you wear something casual.
I like wearing different kinds of clothes, but certainly clothes should suit the occasion. When I plan what I’m going to wear I usually think what kind of meeting I have. At school we weren’t allowed to wear sport or bright clothes, we had to wear clothes of formal style. Usually I wore a jacket, a blouse and trousers or a skirt. But I didn’t like being dressed that way, as many other students. Really I prefer smart clothes to formal. Besides I enjoy wearing sport clothes, because I feel comfortable in it. Also on my list of likes there are jeans. One of my favourite colours is white, so I like white sweaters, tops and skirts. I usually wear high heeled shoes even if it’s not always comfortable or thick-soled boots. When I go out I always dress up, because I feel better that way. But when I have an official meeting I try to wear formal clothes.

So even if you say that you wear jeans because they are practical, you cannot deny that jeans are popular and stylish nowadays. Some clothes of the past can also be practical however we do not wear them because they are out of fashion. Of course, to some extent, shops follow fashion and trends and thus they dictate what we wear. However nowadays it is possible to buy clothes which are out of fashion. But very few people do that. So, to some extent, almost all people are slaves to fashion. It means that it is not important to buy the expensive haute couture of the Milan fashion houses to be fashionable.

I think everyone notices that every fashion goes through some stages. When something new and trendy appears, it can shock and excite. Some people even do not want to accept it. Gradually that thing becomes more and more popular. All shops sell it. Many shops and designers try to make copies of it. However some time later it becomes boring. So, it becomes out of fashion.
