In my opinion, it will be possible to decide what the city of your dream is only if you visit it or, what is better, visit as many different cities as possible. Another important thing is to live there some period of time. I cannot understand when people say that this or that city is the city of their dream but they have never been there.

Maybe, I visit not so many cities but once I visited Saint Petersburg. It was the love at the first sight. Of course, before my travel to Saint Petersburg I knew a lot about this city, I saw many photos of it and so on. However in this city I discovered much more than I expected of it.

I was in Saint Petersburg twice and each time I was living there for one week. When it was my first journey I lived in Peterhof in the house of my relatives. I visited many sights in Peterhof and almost every day I went to Saint Petersburg, walked there and visited different museums. However also it was interesting for me to do something of daily routine there. So I can say that I knew what it meant to live there though a bit. All-Russian Olympiad of School Students was the second time when I visited Saint Petersburg. That time I had even more opportunities to know the city.

My native city is Moscow. It is the capital of the Russian Federation. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Russia. It has long history. The first known reference to Moscow dates from 1147. Since that time Moscow was destroyed several times. However people reconstructed it and it became even more beautiful.
